B&H continues to fine tune their service, be it online, chatting, in-store or placing an order via their site. This purchase could not have been faster or easier.
Lately, with the popularity of space sims such as Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen. HOTAS controllers are coming at a premium price. B&H Photo has been one site that I will gladly return to over and over to get fair prices on my HOTAS controllers. I have purchased 2 separate HOTAS controllers from this site and they have the best pricing around. They actually sell for MSRP which is unheard of right now. Thank you B&H for not price gouging the consumer!
I have used B&H Photo over the years with generally good luck, but sadly the service levels just arent what they used to be. Ive ordered items that go on backorder with no shipment, no updates. Emails to request status that are ignored. Phones that arent answered for some holiday or closure. They direct you to chat, but despite being "#1" in line 30 40 minutes without help. For this, I can use Amazon, same or lower price, and no customer service, which is all B&H Photo had going for it.
What's the deal with the checkout process? I keep having to go back and review address or cart before I get an active "place order" button. I often find myself in a loop of verifying address/payment method/review order until I can finally place the order. "Calculating taxes and duties" also never seems to resolve. This website is buggy. Using Brave browser with shields down. Brave is Chrome based.

Do NOT buy anything from B&H unless you are 100% certain that the item you've selected won't need to be returned or exchanged. I purchased a battery pack for my daughter's camera for Christmas but selected the wrong item. I returned it via FedEx and despite the fact that FedEx shows delivery of the item and B&H acknowledged receipt of the package, I am still waiting for a refund. B&H somehow lost the item in their shipping department (might have happened during the two weeks between receipt and when I finally asked for a status?) and has chosen to make that my problem. They signed for a package weighing 2.3 lbs but now maintain the box was received empty. They are now suggesting I check with FedEx... for what, I'm not sure. Maybe someone at FedEx stole it and delivered an empty package? Come on. B&H lost my return and have chosen to make it my problem instead of providing a simple resolution.
The B&H model for customer service appears to be to route each of my questions to a new individual, each of whom places the blame back on me by rewording the same accusatory update. They also love to tout the fact that they videotape everything in the returns department, but have denied my repeated requests to share this video evidence with me.
NEVER AGAIN. Buyer beware.

I was surprised to see the amount of electronic devices B&H has outside of photo and video. I picked up things I need for my network. Nice not to have to give business to Amazon for everything.
B&H has been delivering top quality gear at reasonable prices with first class customer service for years. I've been buying from them for 40 years and never once had a problem that was not solved instantly and to my complete satisfaction. I only wish B&H would start a training course for other industry leading businesses to learn how it's done so maybe the bar would be raised in the cell phone service, health care insurance and cable TV industries? Hahaha B&H rocks.
The site is very robust and a makes searching and comparing products fairly easy. Their inventory is usually very large and they offer a wide variety of cameras and computer products.
I buy online a lot. Comparing to other websites this one is a favorite.
It's just easy to navigate, everything ticks perfectly, the support is great.
When something got stuck during shipment due to Covid19 implications, I got full refund.

The live chat feature has been very helpful to me as a relatively newbie to photography. Several friends recommended B&H, and I am grateful for that. I have also found B&H's pricing to be very competitive; service and price add up to great value.
B&H Photo has always provided fair prices and reliable service to me. They are helpful if there is a problem with an order or you just have a question about an item. Some of their pop-up ads are quirky and funny.
Update: I see B&H replied that they tired to contact me. Unfortunately the attempt got lost in the ethers and didn't make it to me.
Overall the company has a great reputation. Sometimes a transaction goes sideways, it happens.
FYI: Their quotes are only good for 24 hours. I was not advised of that. Today I went to purchase the camera and it has been sold. I had several phone calls with them between 1st contact and today. I scoured my emails, at no time was I advised the quote was a 24 hour window. BE AWARE: There is a Forbes webpage that shows some discounts, but B&H said the webpage was not an authentic webpage of theirs. If you have a problem be prepared to get transferred around and sometimes to dead end extensions. Some of the staff were very nice. Some just don't care. End result? No camera.

B & H has offered constantly great council, service and pricing. I have purchased video, lighting and sound equipment from them and am confident in the quality of everything I will have to work with.
I am satisfied with the fact that the order is formed quickly and delivered on time. It's really convenient if you need something urgently.
I think there are no problems here and everything looks very, very good.
