I have never heard of this site before. They have an ipad air at a really good price.

Are they reputable enough to buy the ipad air from?

ANy refurbished item we sell has been refurbished by the manufacturer or official US distributor, Nikon USA or Canon USA etc. Other used items are each rated on a numeric scale and we tend to be conservative so customers are not disappointed.

I have been purchasing a few of their products since May 16th 2020, so far so good, on their website it states that they have since 1973, awarded for Great Customer Service 2019 by Newsweek, Forbes 2018, Google Shopping a stellar 4.9 rating, Shopping.com, Shopper Approved 5-Star Excellent Award, etc.

Yes. BH Photo is a brick and mortar store in New York and have been doing business for a long time.

Cheryl C:

B&H is a very large retailer of electronics and related goods. They've been in business a long time and generally have a good reputation.

That said, they sell both new and refurbished/used equipment. With specific regard to the latter, you really do not know what you're getting when you buy something marked "refurbished/used". Just like with cars, sometimes you get a great deal, ands sometimes you get someone else's lemon.

I found that the only way I got attention to take care of a "lemon" bought on the B&H website was to register with SiteJabber and broadcast to the world the "bait & switch" tactics B&H used when sending me batteries for a digital camera: the product photos on their website showed the batteries as made in Japan - but, what I got was made in China.

So, in sum: your iPad could be a great buy, especially if it's brand new. (B&H moves a lot of second- and third-level products for manufacturers like Apple when a new level product debuts.) But, if the product is marked "refurbished/used", check it out very carefully and thoroughly when you receive it. (In fairness, this is the same advice I would give anyone for any purchase of any "refurbished/used" item - not just items from B&H.)
