The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding installation services, product returns, and customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with rushed installations and poor communication, leading to repeated service calls. Customers frequently encounter difficulties with returns and refunds, often citing long wait times and inadequate support from customer service representatives. While the company offers a wide selection of products and some positive experiences with online orders, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for substantial improvements in service reliability and customer care to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

They gave me such a hard time to return the speakers that i just bought a day before.
I got the speakers for my birthday buy my friends already bought it for me.
I didn't open the package and wanted to return it. I had to speck with 4 people for it.
Eventually i got my money back.
They tend to have fairly good quality products but their prices are way to high.
The manager at the Rosenberg Texas Best Buy ripped me off for almost $5000 when I purchased ALL of the brand new Samsung and Whirlpool appliances for my new home from his store.
The refrigerator went out in six months. I called Best Buy to replace it. They refused. The Microwave broke at about a year and the dishwasher broke at about 2 years. Replaced all of them with non-Samsung products.
I called the SOB manager at Best Buy Rosenberg and told him that I"LL NEVER BUY ANYTHING AT BEST BUY EVER AGAIN because Best Buy does not stand behind it's products and really doesn't care about taking care of their customers.
It's likely the guy sold me floor models, refurbished or seconds without telling me.
Best Buy is a great store and a wonderful company. They employ very knowledgeable staff in each of there departments. I have found them to be great at customer service. Their pricing is also very competitive.
Best Buy's website and selection leaves a lot to be desired. Every now and again they have a few decent sales. Other than that, I would go to a more customer friendly site.
I purchased a Christmas gift for my wife from best_buy ebay store. It came in, I wrapped it and waited for Christmas. When it was opened, it was dented. I sent a message to the ebay store, they told me they couldn't help me because it was more than the 15 day period. Well, yah, I told you I bought it for Christmas, I wouldn't have had a problem if it were not sent to me dented. I was told all I could do is contact the manufacturer. What do they have to do with this? I then called my local store, they told me they couldn't help because I bought it through a 3rd party. (No everything I have read says, BEST_BUY) I called the Corporate headquarters, TWICE! Explained the problem, they agreed that I should be upset, but to date I have still had no call or response from BEST_BUY. I went out to Lowes Hardware and purchased another Microwave for my wife and I installed it. Really, stay away from BEST_BUY. They are not concerned with helping if something goes wrong. Stay with Lowes or Sears, great customer service and the PRICE is better. I did not make any of this up, nor did I embellish. I have provided this to warn you, if you still buy from best_buy then I did my part, you just didn't pay attention. Doug
I ordered a subwoofer and a enclosure. The site was easy to navigate to find what I was looking for. My order arrived on time. The bad was the subwoofer had a tear in it. The subwoofer manufacturer covered it under warranty but all in all it was ok. It was an easy fix. But others may not be the same.
Products are great but the techs inside are dumb, they know less abut the tv's they are trying to sell than they do N. Korea.
They will lie and tell you what ever provider you have provides 4k content even though VERY few providers offer it and when they do its VERY limited. Bad customer service, my dad trusted one of them and broght home a 3000$ sony and was very unhappy about viewing options. Wish hed have asked me befor he went shopping.
How is this company still in business? And the geek squad? They hire the cheapest and unqualified people to work in their stores. Pricing is absurd. Usually they just quote some unrealistic price to confuse the customer and make it seem like they need a new PC, and then they get them to buy a new PC when their old one could have been repaired much cheaper by a qualified and highly skilled technician from any local PC shop.
Another store that preys on customers with little technical knowledge to sell unneeded equipment. Take 2 minutes and look at best buy google reviews. Every single store is 1/5 stars and dozens of bad reviews.
Do Not purchase an appliance at any Best Buy. I purchased a high end LG Washer/Dryer. They use a middleman called Cory Holdings/Vanliner Insurance who does the Installation. Long story short the Installers forgot to Secure the hose going to the Washer and 5 months later the hose decides to pop out and three hardwood rooms in my home were flooded and Cory the middleman doesn't want to take Responsibility for it... Despite that Geek Squad documented that they forgot to secure the hose! Now After many calls and emails to Best Buy, and Cory middleman I am left to either taking it out of my Homeowners or getting an Attorney. Gee I just had a roof leak in my new home and a roof leak in my old home so I don't want to use my homeowners so my rates hike up. I will never purchase One more thing from Best Buy. You stink.
I would advise not buying anything from GearBest I have yet to receive my order placed on 12-10-15. And have been unable to contact them.
Overpriced but they do price match. Why drive to their stores though when you can just order it online from someone cheaper in the first place? Some people do like to see and touch though which is in my opinion the only reason they are still in business. Probably also that there are still a lot of people out there that don't trust buying things off of the internet yet, once they catch on Best Buy will fade away.
This Co with Geek Squad is so bad and the help is so nasty you pay for help and you get nasty help and will do as it likes not as I ask and makes more mess-up on my computer and I say stop and will not plays with things I did not ask them mad thing worse I ask for the to MGR and cant get them then I find out sum won takes my Phone NO and address out of the computer as if I never pad for help and that was BS know it is over 9 days and NO call from them as if the Co cares I'm so mad so know I take them to court for 1500. 00 and if I had goat the time of day I was looking for them to stop the BS if fix things and stop making us stay on the phone for 3 to 6 HR for help and then not the write help line then more time and 2 YR free of Webroot and this was part of things that did not get a fix on as other things so after all the BS I make them pay big time hope the Co is happy
Best buy is really a best buy online site for online customer. As there are also sale on many items...
Best Buy was our place to go when I lived in Culver city. Moved to Whittier and there is not one by me anymore. I miss BB.
Deal with them through work, will double bill and try to push you bills months after paying them beware
I used to work in the US and bought from Best Buy. Their return policy was and still is very general as long as the product you return is in it's original package. They have since opened up in Canada. The store is close to where I live and I shop there often. Because their sales team is not on commission, their sale representatives are not as pushy nor picky and show real interest in helping you. The only problem here in Vancouver is that they don't have much competition.
When you shop the online version of the store you never know who the seller really is. You can't filter to see who really has the product & can't search what is in stock for nearby locations with prices. We can't buy everything online. Sometimes you just need to know the price so you can compare local retailers.
I looked online for a new modum router... we will just say I waited to much time and effort trying to browse and compare what they had (or did have for that matter).
Advertised a product that they new they only had a few of. Not only for the the day of boxing sale but the week as well with no intention on having any of these t. V set for there customers, i think the zellers chain of stores use to pull this crap all the time and now look where zellers is advertise to bring you in and the hell with you once your there good business hope your store closes up…..
Best Buy is really good store and got lots of electronics to offer but too expensive. So in Massachusetts I would go to Microcenter store for most of the electronics purchases. BB is ok for shopping when they have deals on the items you need.
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.
