I went to best buy looking for a memory card 9000 series Nvidia. They had only the lowest power in stock that actually was no better than I already had in my 4 year old computer. They ended up ordering my card and power pack on line to be delivered to my home... THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE MYSELF had I know they didn't carry the newest, bestest items. Just disgusting that this store has nothing useful except the security guard posted at the exit of the store.
Well, I ordered something through best buy and it was paid for by a third party. I had no order number, just my name the address of what was ordered, the name and payee the items and everything you would think they would be able to pull up the order by. They could not and they could not be nastier. You would have thought I was asking them to do something above what their job description was. I just do not understand why people get a job and then are nasty, and not doing the customer service they are supposed to do. From now on all my orders will go through Amazon.com or staples, both have amazing customer service.

I love to go to best buy to learn about new electronics that I may be in the market they don't always have the lowest price but I have bought many items from them for a very competitive price especially if you look in the Sunday times they have special offers.
Tonight I went to get a exchange on a HDMI converter for my phone. Well when I got to the return and exchange lane the young lady helping was OK she told me that the manufacturer would give me exchange on the device. Well as I went to go get the item, there was cluster of sale rep talking as I was looking for the item no one asked did I needed help and when I went to ask the one male rep completely ignored me. Then I found the section two other male rep were talking and complaining about a store customer and when I asked about the item I was looking for the one rep was completely out of line by saying "UH IM ABOUT TO GET OFF THEY DISCONTINUE THIS ITEM THATS WHY ITS NOT THERE AND IT WAS 11.99. I responded I was here last month and the item was still 11.99. He did not offer me a choice or anything. He left me there well THEY LEFT ME THERE. I was so frustrated that I didn't even want a store credit. If you have to go to the best buy in Bridgeton Missouri on st. Charles rock road you may want to prepare yourself for horrible customer service.
Delivery at best buy is a farce! I purchased an over the counter microwave and have scheduled 4 appt's ( so far) to get it delivered and installed. First appt botched because delivery dudes came/left before scheduled 4 hour window. 2nd appt cancelled day before appt because they didn't have microwave. 3rd appt, today, botched again because right hand doesn't know left hand exists, and now a 4th appt scheduled. Extremely poor service and many inept staff involved. Best buy definitely lost my family's business.

I ordered an Apple Ipad from Best Buy as a birthday gift. Purchase date was 1/5/16 Delivery Date stated 1/12/16. This was never received. I called about 1/15/16 Best Buy said they contacted UPS and USPS and had to reship, with me on the phone waiting. They said they would resend by expedited mail. When I asked for the shipping number, they promptly hanged up. 1/21/16 Still nothing. My wife's birthday 1/21/16. I called to cancel to buy elsewhere. They said they can't cancel but that they have arranged a store pickup for me about 3000 miles away. I asked what does the law say about cancelling orders. Crystal from customer service said since you are threatening legal action I am hanging up on you. At least there is this opportunity to reach some that agree there are better things to do than take a chance and be tormented in a manner such as this and waste hours of your life to buy a $700 IPAD from such a company. We need not support behavior like this. Are you trying to avoid tremendous agitation. Think twice before ordering something from a company that may put you through this. What I did not mention are all the others I spoke to... there are many other companies that do not behave this way...

Unless is an open box you can only get it for a low price... and or you have to wait for a holliday to get best deal there return policy is a joke if you return 4-5 items in a year you get banned with not returning anything for 90 days
I came to Best Buy with my wife to purchase her Christmas gift. I specifically asked the representative (very heavy, long-haired guy) to provide me with a laptop in a box that was unopened. That is, brand new in the box. What I received was a box with a black Asus tape over the top (which I thought was sealed from the manufacturer). I then left the State to visit my wife's family in Toronto only to find out that what I was given was anything but a brand new, unopened box.
Clearly, this was the display model or something that was returned by a previous customer. I know this for a fact because the previous day I was told by another associate that there maybe be only a couple left. After charging it, based on the instructions, it appears that it may have some technical and software issues, hence the reason it was probably returned. The feeling I have from this experience is that Best Buy does not care about its customers and the only thing that matters is "the sale". Especially, since I had saved for so long for such a meaningful purchase.
Great store, but... what do I need it for? I get my music from iTunes, I buy my computers from Apple,. I don't need car stereos and the only thing I bought at BestBuy is a GPS. That's all they have that I need. TVs? I can get cheaper at CostCo or Walmart.

Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
