Best Buy is a far cry from what its name implies, but on occasion they have good deals on computer parts and other electronics. Worth a look occasionally if you use sites like Pcpartpicker.com.
They said The Rock would be signing autographs at Best Buy but all i saw was a fat lady on a scooter and some colored kid stealing food. Not interested on your crappy fake advertising.
They do have most things one could need/want as far as electronics. Prices are fair, comparable to other stores, and customer service is excellent.

I've been super lucky and found some great deals on open box items via the website. Got my son a pretty spectacular gaming laptop for Christmas at around 60% off the regular price.
Best Buy is one of those stores that burned me about 15 years ago and I have never shopped there since. If companies do not treat me right they are not going to get my business.
Ordered a computer with these guys, picked it up, after ordering online thru website, customer service was good, and able to pick up quickly. People there, helped me, with any questions I had.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER-I literally called 27 times, and got either hung up on, got nowhere, or was put on hold for over 2 hours. I can't imagine how a big company like BestBuy cannot handle a simple customer call for an item return! I regret the hour I purchased something from them. You are better off going elsewhere where they value customers and their time.
There is better site or i should say sites with better pricing on items, but well best buy is more reliable when they let you take your stuff to the store.
Best Buy missed appointments, and sent people who could not complete the job. To get a replacement dishwasher I was on the phone for over 5 hours. Do not shop here.
I'd HAD to give them one star otherwise I would have not given them any!
I called the day "Best" Buy delivered a 72" TV Stand that cost me just over $600 to say it was broken beyond repair. They said they would send UPS to pick it up. Two months later and MANY MANY calls to them and communications with their Fakebook representative, I've been told twice that they can't help me because I'm not outside of their standard return window. REALLY?!? This isn't my fault - it's YOURS! And I'm stuck with a 100+ pound box of broken wood pieces and Best Buy gets to keep over $600 of my money. What's wrong with this picture? NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN - I promise!
Surprisingly, Best Buy sometimes has great deals on certain items. I've also pre-ordered a couple of video games through them. I've regretted choosing the free option and shipping to home because it takes their Fed-Ex + USPS almost a week and a half (or two weeks if it's holiday season) to get to me by mail. Of course I realize upgrading shipping options would guarantee faster times but I have a feeling that even with the Fed-Ex + USPS method of shipping, there are tiers and Best Buy must be the cheapest tier because every other retailer that might use UPS/Fed-Ex + USPS has come in under a week, usually 3-4 days. Basically, free shipping is free shipping after all but it would have been easier to just pickup items at their store.
Best Buy has a lot of selections available for me when I shop for games, electronics, and computer accessories or parts. Their customer service personnel are very friendly and helpful.
I love best buy, fantastic selections of TVs. As an added bonus the prices are usually alright, and the staff is incredibly helpful. Soo much better than the closest competitors.
I purchased an 86" LG TV, had it installed by Best Buy in 2020. Within that year, the panel went out... luckily it was under warranty. There is only a one year warranty. Offered. They don't offer extended warranties. I've had this TV since September 2020 and by March 2022 (1 1/2 years) the panel went out and because the warranty was expired, it will cost me over $1500 to fix. My concern is, if I pay for yet another panel, what is to say there isn't something wrong with the tv that is causing the panel to stop working. I would think that after only a year and a half, Best Buy would make an effort to make this right. A $2000 tv should last longer than 1 1/2 years. Trying to speak with management was next to impossible as I was passed around from person to person who continually told me there was nothing they could do for me... but when I asked to speak to someone higher up to plead my case, I was given the run around. Very disappointed. I have many products in my home that are LG (and I even called them, but they said there was nothing they could do). How sad that neither LG or Best Buy will stand by their products and replace something that should not discontinue working. This large tv literally takes up the entire wall, is never touched (remote control use only). I'm really saddened as I just can't afford to replace this TV, which was initially purchased as a gift from my kids after losing my husband (movie date nights were our favorites and knowing it would be emotionally difficult to go to the movies... they wanted to bring the movies home for me). Best Buy... I thought better of you!
I've ordered online and shopped in store with BB for many years and they are really great.
If there is any problem, they fix, replace or refund very quickly.
The store had this "12 days of deals" event which included getting your items by Christmas. I spent a few hours looking for "deals" and ended up with several items including a much advertised discounted 55" TV! Their site indicated that the nearby store had all those items so I chose to pick them up there. Next day I received notification the items were ready... all but the discounted 55" TV! Apparently they were having a hard time fulfilling that order due to unavailability. The same TV was still showing as available at the same store but with a lesser discount! At first the message was they would try to fulfill soonest, then hours later message changed to fulfilling within a month and of course if unable, they'd cancel the TV order. I thought it was a mistake since the website still indicated the store had it! Then I goggled around and discovered this was a trend/pattern bb uses, with possible cancellation as the end result. Shocked big store like bb can stoop this low so shame on you for wasting a customers' time and misleading with flashy "sales" when you can't keep your end of the bargain
UPDATE: Day after the above review, message came that the TV was now available for pick up. Unfortunately, after their January delivery message, I gave up and found an alternative. The company needs to fix the disconnect between Bestbuy online and the stores. Customers shouldn't suffer because their inept internal processes.
Love best buy whether I take in my computer, buy something from the store, or order online it's always a smooth transaction. Great store. Good people, friendly and helpful.
I purchased a Galaxy S7 with the VR goggles wish I had read the reviews but what a piece of junk, error messages I finally decided to return the phone. I went to our local Best Buy and the sales person said that I had to ship it back the way I got it, Well I asked for the manager the manager tried to pull the same thing, but at the bottom of my receipt it states if you are not happy you can return to any store. The manager was pissed but took it with my receipt in hand I left. I waited a week and there was no credit Got paypal involved what ever the dude at Paypal said with in 2 days the credit showed up thanks Paypal.
Best Buy was once THE destination for electronics. Not any more. They have changed the thrust of their operations but they have had to with the onslaught of on line retailers such as Amazon, Ebay, Egghead, vying for sales. First of all you are met with a person at the door that is watching a theft deterrent screen. That's an immediate turn off. I understand why they do it but I don't like seeing it. The associates are usually young and for the most part not as knowledgeable as could/should be. My guess is they attract that talent based on their pay scales. I think that is why Circuit City eventually failed. I have to be honest though, I do not go into their store much anymore because of the plethora of info and products available on line. I was also turned off in the past by their return policy. I don't know if it is still the same but even if you paid with a debit card you had to wait for your money to be refunded. They also push extended warranties hard at the register which is aggravating.
Sent my ordered laptop to wrong address, cutumer service gave me a one month run around before telling me they will not refund or replace my order. Im out $800 it took months to save.
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.

The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding installation services, product returns, and customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with rushed installations and poor communication, leading to repeated service calls. Customers frequently encounter difficulties with returns and refunds, often citing long wait times and inadequate support from customer service representatives. While the company offers a wide selection of products and some positive experiences with online orders, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for substantial improvements in service reliability and customer care to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
