The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and delivery failures. Customers frequently report delays in shipping, incorrect items being sent, and a frustrating return process that often leads to dissatisfaction. Many express frustration over the lack of accessible support, relying solely on chatbots for assistance, which often fails to resolve their concerns. While some customers appreciate the product quality, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a declining trust in the company, as unresolved complaints and inadequate communication dominate the feedback. This suggests a critical need for improvement in customer service and clearer return policies.

I order on the 3rd of June and 2 days later I still didn't received my order and I have next day delivery. They don't have a customer service line to speak to someone one but when I call the lady on the phone told me the Asos doesn't have customer service line and to speak on live chat but the live chat is machine not a person actually talking to you. When I tried to explain the situation to her she just turned off the phone on my face, were rude and unprofessional. I order wedding vest dress and a shoes for a wedding i have to go and I was so excited to get my orde and it wasn't cheap and I don't know when or if I will get my refund or my order. I'm really disappointed at Asos, I don't know if I will ever order from this company again.
Can't speak to a live person. Was put on hold for over 30 minutes with the live chat. Until I finally decided to hang up. I'm certain this was their goal to wait me out. Received items less than 24 hours ago. Fabric was poorly made and I wanted to return it. Didn't realize it was final sale. Asked if I can return and receive store credit at least and they said no. Never again.
Yesterday I made my first purchase through ASOS. On first attempt I tried to use a 15% off coupon for new customers, but when my order didn't go through the first time and I attempted to use the code when placing the order correctly, I got an error message "Sorry, this code is for new customers only." I still was a new customer…my initial order hadn't gone through? So I never actually used the coupon? I took to ASOS's customer service chat and so ensued a 45 minute conversation in which I was told to cancel the order that had been placed, so they could "email me a new code," which never came, then I was "given a new 15% off code: "REPLACE15OE" Seems like it would replace my 15% off coupon right? Wrong, that code only took off 3%… it's as if by including the number 15 in the second code they thought I'd just assume it was legit and be too stupid to notice the difference in discounts? After I pointed out this error to the customer service agent I was immediately met with a noticeably colder attitude and was told to wait for an email with a "new correct code." Well it's been 24 hours and still no code. All this for 15% off…I just wanted to use the code I was promised why is that so hard? It's like they are looking for ways to rip off their customers.
Tried to speak to ASOS customer service, apparently they don't have one! You can only chat online and they don't have the authority to answer any queries or complaints. All they say is they will pass it on to another department. Your not allowed to speak to anyone and they flatly refuse to give you any information. Then if you keep asking questions they cut you off. How is this customer service!
My ASOS account was blocked (seemingly permanent) for...returning a few items. A large retail chain like ASOS is so stingy that they're literally blocking accounts for using their free return system as intended? They're lucky I'm even using their website instead of the thousand other fast fashion retail brands, I just find it amusing how stingy and pathetic many of these large corporations are, that they would go to such lengths to stop people from using a system that they clearly advertise on every listing, which is their free returns. If you don't want to lose a few pounds allowing customers to return items for free, just charge for it?
Fraudulent activity. Withdraw from a business checking account without approval.
Customer service refused to solve the issue. I filed a fraudulent activity against this company.
Paid for express shipping? Don't expect it next day. I had a shipment stolen as well and they won't replace it even though the items are in stock they said "we couldn't find your items." I had to go through an reorder everything. I asked them to use USPS but they continue to use Lasership which is a god awful courier. They ended my chat with a rep when I stated I would like them to add a note to leave inside and not on porch. Very very terrible company.
ASOS has by far the worst customer service ever. Had refund issues. First time chatting with them, they promised a full refund in 10 days. Never received it. Tried to chat with them again, one manager called "MA" was very rude. Didn't say a word but keeps end my chat. Now my account has been blocked. I can't even chat to them anymore.
Why is this business still running? Why do you even have CS when you offers no help?
The material of the two dresses that I ordered was absolutely horrible. I had no idea that because they were on sale I couldn't return them. I would never buy from this company again!
I made an order and an item was missing, I entered into a conversation with the support who asked me if I wanted a refund of the money or the item, I chose the item, but they sent the money, in short they lied to me as they could
Just a heads up, if you are ordering from canada they are going to charge a customs fee on top of the shipping paid through ASOS with no notice when making the purchase.
They change prices for the same mother $#*!ing item, over and over again. We need to shut these $#*!ers down!
Bought an All Saints jacket at a GREAT price, I got shipping info three days after purchase and the item arrived a day before the estimated arrival date.
Loved the jacket!
$300 gown was extremely cheaply made. And for free shipping I needed to pay $65 fees on delivery. Free return also cost $27.
Never again!
Bought a North Face puffer jacket from ASOS, chose the wrong design. They allow cancellations a few hours after purchase but as I was not in time to cancel my order, I contacted them and their CSR said she would request for the order to be redirected to their returns warehouse address instead of my delivery address. A tracking number was provided and I monitored the tracking all along. Weeks passed and the order finally arrived at their returns address. I had to constantly contact their customer service to follow up on my returned order. The first CSR confirmed receipt of my returned order and that they would process my refund soon, and if I still have not received my refund by 3rd May, to contact them to process a manual refund on the spot. A week went by and I still have not received my refund, so I contacted them again only to be told that I had to do an "advise check". The CSR wanted me to answer some questions to confirm I had never received the order. Most of the questions asked were ridiculous even after telling him a few times that the parcel was never delivered to my address but it went to their redirected address arranged by their own CSR. He said this was their "standard procedure" so as to enable him to carry out an investigation with the delivering partner. Then went on to say I would be notified on the outcome within 48 hours. 48 hours passed but I never received any updates. Continued to send them emails only to receive automated replies but never a proper human response and I can no longer trust them. They kept going in circles, reassuring you that you would receive your refund but they never intended to process it at all. LIES and despicable methods ASOS use so as not to process your refund! Opened a dispute case and FINALLY got back my rightful refund!
You have been WARNED - STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISGUSTING STORE! DO NOT TRUST!
Although I kept more of what I purchased than returned, I was blocked for "too many returns." When I chatted in to see why my account was locked, the customer service rep wouldn't tell me. They had a customer manager reach out and then they wouldn't respond when I asked why. I'm assuming it was the returns because I had a couple on 1 day, but like I said- I kept more of what I ordered. I wish they would have said something before they locked my account out of nowhere. I also paid for the full year of next day delivery and they would not reply to my question if they would keep my card on file to auto bill/how to cancel, or if they could do a partial refund since I was unable to use the full subscription, due to their actions. The quality of clothing is also very hit and miss. Save yourself the headache & go somewhere else. I'd rather pay a little more for better service.
On April 16th, 2023, I received a notification that my order was delivered. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I tried to chat with ASOS's representative and the robot assistant was a mess. A month has passed and I still have not yet received any response regarding this matter. I am very disappointed at ASoS. The customer service is useless and there is no form of getting fiscally in touch with a live representative.
Yesterday I ordered clothes from ASOS. Today they have sent me an email stating that my order got cancelled, because it did not pass validation checks. They also blocked my account. It took me 2 hours to search for clothes and order them. Don't waste your precious time, I do not recommend this site to anyone. They are unprofessional.
Ordered size 10 shoes, received size 8
Almost two weeks later still haven't received the correct size shoes, customer care keeps asking to come back after 48 hours...which I do and they apologise again, with those pre-written bullsh. Scripts and ask me to come back in 48 hours. Awful and frustrating
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
