I 100% would never recommend Ashley furniture. My boyfriend and I went there to buy a bed set, we found the perfect one. Than our salesman took us to look at mattresses. He showed us the temperpurdic beds and we loved it. We ordered all the pieces (for a large amount of money)!… Day of delivery of the mattress: they bring the mattress and it doesn't have remote or anything so we are confused. When calling the store the salesman got $#*!ty with us and said that we refused the adjustable frame, when he never even told us about it… fast forward. We then get the dresser and night stands and fast forward, day of delivery for the bed frame: they gave us a 3 hour time frame and showed up 2 hours past that time, at which we were no longer home due to work. And they refused to wait 15 mins for me to get home. So we reschedule our delivery, take the day off from work and when they show up, they only have the footboard and side rails, but no Headboard. Now they're telling us 2 weeks before the headboard will be ready. Poor communication, terrible customer service!
I just paid $800 for a piece of junk that they won't let me return! I got a reclining sofa that 1. Was so small it only fit my two kids comfortably 2. You had to launch yourself backwards to actually recline and 3. THE LEGS WOULDNT STAY UP IN THE RECLINING POSITION! After calling them they basically told me that no returns/no exceptions BUT had I purchased IN the store that I might be able to return it?!?! Their customer service is beyond crap and their return policy is basically no policy. I should have listened to the reviews but I just thought it wasn't going to happen to me! This is your warning…..
I have been working for almost 2 years trying to get my furniture replace or repaired. I have made over 35 call to the customer service line and received multiple claim numbers for the same items. I purchased a sofa, love seat, chair and a half and ottoman for my new home and it has been a nightmare every since. Within the first 3 months the couch and chair were showing signs of spring damage. I reported the problem as soon as possible. It took multiple calls and months before someone came out to inspect the furniture. It was then Ashley decided to put in my file that I refused to have the serviceman in my home. I had to get proof from the repair company that this was a lie. After a year Ashley decided to replace my sofa but continued to ignore the claim for my chair and a half and ottoman. I had to start all over with a claim for the chair and a half and ottoman by this time the warranty is out. After multiple calls concerning the chair and ottoman the same serviceman was sent out to inspect the chair and ottoman he inspected previously. Fast forward to today when I am told that they have been trying to contact me but got a busy tone on 3 separate occasions so they closed my case. This is ridiculous and I will never shop here again.
Ashley Furniture, Tacoma, WA We spent over $4000 and was told it was in stock and delivery would be 3 days. Then got a call they are now saying 3 weeks. Asked to speak to the manager and was told I could not, she would not come to the phone. So we were lied to and now are not being treated right. I will never shop there again and I say DON'T SPEND MONEY HERE.
I paid my first payment on the like 3rd of the month, and it wasn't late then I get a notice for the same month on the 26th of the month stating my payment was late. Then my 2nd payment I was about to make which was not even a month apart from the one I made they charged me 30.00 for a late payment. When I called them up to talk about it they hung up on me. I would never ever buy furniture from them again.
I ordered a recliner for my elderly mother with dementia to be delivered to the retirement home where she currently resides. The customer service rep did not ask any questions about delivery, only that a delivery window would be available in a few days but needed to place the order to get that DAY secured. They do not mention the window of time, nor do they ask if there are any time restrictions you may have. Obviously, if you need something delivered to community where vulnerable elderly people are living there needs to be employees there to let you in. Our delivery arrived at 7:45am, with a driver who did not speak English and was not able to communicate, so he hung up on me. They left and took the recliner with no confirmation to return later when the community was open. When I called back to re-schedule, they gave me another date 8 days out. They would not prioritize my mother's delivery. Instead they doubled down and told me it's my fault for not explaining the delivery time needs. They also lie about re-scheduling so far out because the main objective is to make as many deliveries as possible based on the location of the warehouse start point. This retirement home is closest to that warehouse, therefore it is an inconvenience for them to deliver there during a reasonable timeframe. They discriminate against the elderly by pushing out the delivery and prioritize other orders that are more efficient to deliver. I paid extra for delivery as well, white glove service. I had no other choice but to contact another vendor who was more than happy to help my mom and deliver a recliner the following day. My mother is also losing 10% of the refund as they claim that's their charge to cancel the order. They realize we had to cancel, but have zero integrity and would not refund the total cost. Instead, the 10% is kept by this company as a credit on my mothers account. I want nothing to do with them in the future. Why would I buy from a company that is so difficult to work with? They are effectively stealing from my elderly mother. Terrible management at every level. The customer service supervisor is complacent and unapologetic.
While attempting to order furniture for my mother who lives in a nursing home, Ashley gave me the constant run-around. The first order went through no issue, but I needed to change to assembled delivery. Not possible to change, have to cancel the entire order and start over. However, they may not cancel your entire order and ship parts of it anyway. Then tell you to order again. Great! Oops, now too many items are shipping. Call customer service - guess what, oops, we accidentally canceled your correction order, too! Oh, guess what, now you can't order any more because your billing and shipping addresses don't match. But they never matched, and they never had a problem placing the first two orders.
Called my local store, they were extremely helpful. My advice is NEVER ORDER ONLINE! Only issue with my local store is they can't help with the shipment out of state, so now I have to find a way to visit an Ashley store where my mom lives because they won't take my order over the phone because, guess what, I'm out of state.
My advice is to avoid ordering from Ashley Furniture unless you are very close to a local store. Buy their furniture from some other company, you'll have a much less stressful experience. I've spent at least 3 hours on this this week, with no furniture. Oops, never mind, I at least have a lamp and nightstand set from the order that was supposed to be canceled!
This review is specific to a recent customer service incident. I purchased furniture from Ashley back in 2015 of which I was offered a $200 credit for a future purchase if I didn't have any issues that required me to use the protection plan Within 5 years. After 5 years I could collect my $200 credit with no mention of expiration. In November of 2021 I went in to see about a desk on back order and my credit. At the time Ashley found my credit with no mention of an expiration. Fast forward to yesterday when this desk is now off back order and in stock. Ashley tells me they will "honor" my credit because it has expired IF I promise with $50 to buy $9k worth of furniture I was also interested in within the next 6 months and this was a "generous" offer. For me, this was a joke and borderline blackmail depending on verbiage used. I'm not sure how $9k of furniture for $200 off a $500 desk is "generous" especially when no mention of expiration was ever mentioned and I was supposed to use it during prime pandemic. I love Ashley's furniture but this experience was bind blowing. Needless to say, I won't be visiting an Ashley Furniture store anytime soon if ever again.
I am giving Ashley Furniture a zero but it won't allow it. I beg you not to shop there. The first table we bought lost its finish within 6 months, it started bubbling up at the seams. We got nowhere with the store who said you have to call customer service in New York. We got nowhere with them, they said it was regular wear and tear. No amount of calling got us anywhere until we wrote a Google review. Then suddenly we were able to "exchange". We picked out a different model hoping there would be no issues with that one but it started looking worn pretty quickly. Not wanting to bother with them we let it go but it kept getting worse and worse so we called the warranty company. We have been going round and round with them and Ashley since February, since February! The warranty company said the table cannot be fixed. Ashley said they have not gotten the paperwork from the warranty company who says they have sent it. Round and round we go. If I save this hassle for others I guess I will feel like it hasn't been in vain cuz if you read the reviews Ashley is a mess.
And one more thing... since when does a "100% money back guaranty" mean store credit? What could I possibly buy that wouldn't fall apart?
They have no return or exchange policy. The sales person NEVER explained this. When I called the customer service told me to read the fine print. I believe this is deliberate deceptive sales tactic
Long Story: I purchased a bunk bed on 9/27. Said it would be delivered on 10/5. Once the delivery came, the product was damaged--we sent it back. We rescheduled the delivery to 10/11. Once the bed came to the house, it was damaged again--better yet, it was delivered in moving blankets, not even in boxes. The delivery men were so embarrassed but very apologetic.
I called and asked what they can do to fix this. They said they could only issue me a 10% refund on the damaged product. So after spending over $900 at their store, they were able to issue $30 back to me; ridiculous. I accepted the $30 because I didn't want to start the bed shopping process over, and I'm due to give birth in December. After accepting the $30, I rescheduled for the third delivery, 10/18, and It came damaged yet again. I walked into Ashley HomeStore in Schaumburg, IL and spoke to the manager, Savannah, who gave me the run-around and said you can call customer service since she's not able to issue anything. I asked to speak to her Direct Report and she refused. As the manager, she should have been willing to help a paying customer to make this purchase correct and not embarrass herself since after speaking to corporate they said that she would be the one issuing me the discount on delivery charge. Needless to say, she has a fun phone call coming her way tomorrow morning.:-)
Still waiting for a non damaged bed!
In short: I would avoid this place!
I am so very disappointed and Ashley furniture I purchased a recliner chair that has speakers and a Bluetooth and I purchased it in August 2020. Since then the Bluetooth has not worked K they came out after three months and fixed it but now one of the speakers doesn't work and you know what they said that's my fault my responsibility my responsibility and you know what I just seen a piece of wire hanging out at that can HURT MY GRANDSON WHO IS ONLY 4 years OLD. I'm so very mad that I am I really think I'm gonna go in front of the store and pick it with a sign and tell people don't purchase anything from Ashley furniture do not buy anything from Ashley furniture
I brought two couches from Ashley 3 years ago. I have been trying to get them fixed for 2.5 years. The warranty is for 5 years. Company has just given me the run around for 2.5 years.
My boyfriend and I just moved into our first place together, and we wanted a nice first bedroom suit, the first sales associate was extremely nice and helpful (Reggie Chapman) we hand it delivered 1/13/23 the day we moved in. Not even an hour after they left the head board bracing that only had one screw put in on both sides came off; As well as a chunk of the top of the head board was also damaged. After calling customer service, they said it would be 3 weeks until they could come and replace it, so we said we wanted a refund, they said they would come and get it 1/19/23 they would just call us with a time. After calling 7 times, they just keep saying they will call us back. With that being said, my boyfriend and I are sleeping on the floor because our bedroom frame isn't useable. As well as getting our clothes out of boxes because we don't know when they are picking up our bedroom suit that we paid $2,273.31 in cash. I do NOT recommend them for customer service/ Quality furniture. And we are still waiting for a call back and its been almost 2 weeks -Desteny Hirak
King size mattress
My husband and I bought a mattress from Ashley's furniture 2020 took three months to get had it for two years and the mother$#*!er still hurts my back we hurt every day we wake up matched we had 10 years before we bought this one feels much better than this mattress do not buy a mattress from Ashley sponsor they are a piece of $#*!
Also we bought a bedframe to go with it we end up spending $7000 there for mattress and a bed frame that's a piece of $#*! to Richard Cain is our name
Very long story short, i bought a bed frame may 29th and was told it was be delivered on June 17th. This company needs you to be HOME to drop off your order so if course you have to take the day off work cause its always on a week day and gives you a large window of time of when " its coming". They called, emailed and texted to CONFIRM my bed would be delivered one THREE separate occasions and all three times they NEVER SHOWED UP. Its now been over 2 months and not only did they take my $1,500 for the bedframe but they still never delivered anything while I'm having to use my sick days to take time off work for there delivery. Will never give this POS company my $ again. Not to mention i have spent in totally over 8 hours with customer service and speaking with supervisors. Taking this one to corporate
I purchased a reclining sofa from Ashley on 11/07/2021. It had a couple of scratches and loose fabric when delivered. I called and made an appointment to have the sofa replaced. I wanted a full refund or a replacement, but they only repaired the scratches and the loose fabric in the "new" sofa. They promised they will call back because I was not happy with the fix. They never called. I let it go but 11 months later one side of the recliner broke. While trying to get help from Ashley on my less than one year old sofa, they sent me to call the expensive Premium protection program they sell. Customer service rep from the 5 year premium protection plan that is supposed to fix broken sofas said it was Ashley's responsibility because the sofa was not even a year old. I called Ashley again and they sent me back to the protection program. I spoke with so many depts from Ashley and they finally sent someone to repair the sofa. This company manufactures low quality furniture, and I wanted my money back because the sofa was broken. The issue was not resolved after approximately 20 calls or more. After giving all the info they never honored their satisfaction clause and kept telling me they will send someone. They have poor Customer Service when trying to report a problem. I will never buy again at Ashley furniture and I am letting all my friends and family know what they did. The sofa is sitting in my tv area until we have the money to get a new one.
I bought a 4 piece living room set from the south center store in sept 2021 o was told to expect delivery in about 2 months. After waiting about 4 months I tried to call the store to get an update. The customer service person told me they would call back with an update. I waited 2 more months with no response.I called again the customer service person was rather rude and unhelpful. I got no answer. I had to go to the store to talk to some one, I was told that my furniture would there shortly but because more then 6 months had passed my finance was canceled. I never heard of such a thing. Once again I was told to wait with no resolution or even a simple apology. After waiting another 3 months with no contact from anyone I went to the Lynwood location and I was told that my order has no date on it and I was basically being told Lies the whole time. I was asked to wait again and promised a follow up. Once again no one Ever followed up.it had now been over 16 months. Needless to say this is by far the worst purchasing experience any one can have. I do not how Ashley stays in business?
I am still waiting for my order and don't except anyone to due anything from your company. I can't imagine ever stepping foot in an Ashley store again.
Order was placed and was given an order number. 2 days later I was given a tracking number that was invalid! I never received the products that I ordered!
A very long story, but I try to keep it short, furniture was ordered in DEC 2021, and delivery was announced for JAN 2022. We finally received the delivery in July 2002, but the delivery was incomplete and could not be assembled. Delivery services rushed out of the property before we even had a chance to decide on the next step. Furniture was picked up the next day by a total unprofessional delivery crew who had severely damaged the property by rushing at high speed down the driveway. The store and the delivery service just play the blame game to keep the customer at a distance, very difficult to get hold of the manager or anyone who can make a deciosn.
Here is what you can expect when you buy furniture at Ashley's:
1) A significant delay in the delivery; the store is blaming the supply chain problems but has no problem selling you the goods and taking your money (we paid cash).
2) No escalation process for the customer; unprofessional people block you at the hotline and say they can't connect you to their top management.
3) Complete disconnect between store and delivery service; they point you to each other to wear you out. This is purposely designed to frustrate the customer and to give up on the problem.
4) Delays, delays, and delays, and more delays
5) You must deal with unprofessional people across the board and dangerous and aggressive third-party delivery service.
You can avoid a lot of frustration if you bypass the Ashley Home Furniture shop.
Answer: It's a business and a scam. Zero customer service. Once they've used your credit card, it takes hours on the phone to arrange return and credit.
Answer: I attempted calls with no answer 3 days I emailed 3 times no response. I wrote letter to store manager and it was ignored.
Answer: The advertisement hype, even when on hold they continue with the hype as if that were th best. HA HA!
