It's not the Ashley Store but the Company. In December, I purchased an Ashley Chesterfield/Loveseat set through a local Furniture store(Good Reputation for customer service). The Chesterfield was in stock and I received it, the Loveseat was ordered. Near end of February, I received a call from the Furniture store that due to the Tariffs between the USA and Canada, Ashley Furniture will not be delivering this product. The Furniture store offered a refund for the Loveseat. I explained that this is unacceptable. I purchased and paid for a set, and 2 months is long enough time to have the Loveseat delivered. From Ashley Furniture, it was decided that as the Chesterfield was at my house for 2 months, they would not accept a return or provide a refund. I am left with a Chesterfield that Ashley Furniture has decided after more than sufficient time to not honor the purchase to deliver the matching piece, and not to provide a refund with return of Chesterfield so that we can look at purchase of a matching set. I have searched online, and US stores do have the product available.
If you are going to purchase an Ashley product, keep in mind, you are purchasing a product from the USA, and if the store doesn't have the complete set in stock, do not agree to a backorder, just walk away.
Had to keep the Chesterfield as Ashley would not accept a return. Unable to get the matching Loveseat as Ashley furniture decided after 2 month wait, that it will no longer be available for delivery to Canada because of Tariffs
Make sure you are extremely sure of purchase because Ashely don't honor ANY PURCHASE AND ITS YOURS!
Their policy: Bad business, you brought it and you keep it good, bad whatever!
End table top color was not the same as in the store.
We purchased a dining room table set a few years ago from this Ashley's Showroom in Murrieta. While the table looks good in our kitchen we have run into problems. There are bubbles forming around the top of the table that are unsightly. The top layer is delaminating as this isn't real wood but a cheap laminate. We purchased an extended warranty that Ashley's offers and contacted the store for repair. They told us to contact the third party warranty company as they would not be liable for any defects or damage after the one year warranty. When we contacted the warranty company they asked when we 1st started noticing the bubbles. My wife was honest and told them she began noticing it about a month and a half ago but the delamination is increasing and more and more bubbles are forming. The company rep told us we were obligated to notify them with 30 days of any damage or defect and that they would NOT be liable for any repairs. After talking to several knowledgeable furniture store owners I was told to contact the original Ashley's and they may be able to provide some assistance. Here's where my education in the furniture business was exposed. I spoke to Tom, the manager at Ashley's in Murrieta who was friendly and sympathetic to our situation was unable to help us. He told me most furniture built nowadays was "Throwaway" and after a few years the newer generation of buyers just tossed it due to changes in their style or the breakdown of cheaper man made materials fabricated overseas. The day's of buying a real piece of wood furniture are over due to manufacturing costs. He said if they sold a real piece of solid wood furniture it would cost thousands of dollars and today's buyer would not be able to afford it. He told us it's not Ashley's fault for selling lost cost, cheaply made furniture but the consumers as that is what allows them to make a profit and stay in business in these tough economic times. While I appreciate Tom's honesty it was still a difficult pill to swallow. He did recommend to reach out to local furniture repairmen who should be able to make the needed repairs. In the meantime we're stuck with a bubbled dining room table in our 50K remodeled kitchen. I will never buy furniture from Ashley's again and just so you know, they manufacture their furniture sold at other more respected furniture retailers as well like Mathis Bros.

I purchased the party time loveseat and sofa from Ashley furniture in late 2020 early 2021. This purchase was done to upgrade to the latest version of the party time loveseat and sofa as I already had one of the original party time loveseat, and sofa. There was nothing wrong with the original set I just wanted the new version. I noticed that I started to sneeze a lot, and my eyes would burn when seated on the furniture. I had no reason to as Those symptoms with the furniture, so I dismissed it as my reaction to may be there was dust in the air. As time went by, I noticed my symptoms start to get worse.
It was only through the process of elimination that I was able to determine what was causing my symptoms. That process took place over a period of a year and a half maybe two. What was included in that process of elimination was me purchasing three air purifiers to distribute throughout my newly built home. That had to no affect as my symptoms persist and got worse, my sneezing episodes wouldn't tell 5 to 6 sneezing at a time all throughout the day. My eyes would burn and itch the skin on my face and around my neck area would burn and itch.
I finally start to zero and on, the sofa in a way that I would place my nose as close as possible to the armrest cavity and noticed that there was a strong odor, gas and nature emanating from that area. Now that I had started to localize where the odor was emanating from. I started to try to do things to neutralize the odor nothing worked. Finally, I contacted Ashley furniture to inquire if they would address this issue. Their response was since the furniture had been in my home for three years and I had not purchased the extended warranty. I was stuck with what I had.
I spoke with professionals that deal with HOME air quality as to what my options were, advise me of a process that could cost me upwards of $3000 to rid my home of the toxic odor. That process would involve replacing the furniture and cleaning my HVAC system after testing to verify that indeed the oldest emanating from the loveseat and sofa.
When all was said and done after care consideration, I determine my cheapest route of this matter would be to replace the furniture with new furniture. That decision at this point has cost me close to $6000 for a new furniture. I still need to pay a professional to come out and clean out my HVAC system. At this point the $4000 I paid for the party time loveseat and sofa added to the $6000 for new furniture I'm in the hole for $10,000. Total not to mention what is going to cost to have my HVAC system clean.
I'm not sure at this point what if any impact of me and inhaling the toxic films for that period time will have on my health
Party time, loveseat, and sofa
My wife and I purchased a dual reclining sofa from Ashley Furniture Store at the Sterling VA location. We purchased the sofa in mid-November, and it was delivered to us prior to Thanksgiving. One week later the control panel for the sofa button was stuck in the on position and would not release. We unplugged the sofa so as not to burn out the motor. We contacted customer service; they asked us for a picture and an explanation, and we provided as they asked. Customer service said they would order the new part and as soon as it arrives contact them so they can schedule a technician to replace the part. After 5 weeks and no part arrived, we called customer service several times with no status and finally they advised us that the part was coming from China and it would take 2 more weeks. The part arrived and we contacted customer service, and they said a technician would be in touch in 48 hours to schedule a time to come out. After a few days I called again because no technician reached out. Customer service said they have the work order in and that we would be contacted. Now we are at 5 weeks for the part and another 2 weeks waiting for the technician. It is just before Christmas, and I received an email from the technician to schedule a date for them to come out. The two dates I was given were February 15th or 16th. Now we have to wait 2 more months before our unusable sofa will be fixed. Again, we were only able to use it for 1 week. I called customer service several times, as now I wanted them to remove the couch and be refunded my money (approximately $3000.00). Customer service said all they can do is place the work order in. I told them that I will go to the store I bought the sofa from. The person at customer service said, "They won't be able to help you". SO, I went anyways and this was the last week in December. I spoke with the manager at the store and explained my situation as we were now approaching 8 weeks without a workable sofa. This was after another customer was complaining about dirty furniture being delivered to their house. The customer service liaison was also at the store, and she advised the manager to email their corporate office with the explanation and to indicate I wanted a full refund for the sofa because I was going to eventually have an unusable sofa for 3 months. They let me know that they should have a response very soon and I can wait or if I have something to do and then come back to the store and discuss the response. I have now waited 10 days and no response. I have messaged the store manager wanting an update, the first time he indicated he hasn't heard anything back, the second message I have not received a response from the manager and now it's three days waiting and now writing this review. I am now 10 weeks without a workable sofa. No communication from Ashley furniture corporate nor the store in Sterling VA. This is the most unacceptable customer service I have ever experienced. To spend approximately $3000 on a sofa that broke 1 week later. I would advise never to take your business to Ashley Furniture. Their customer service lines have call center individuals that don't help, managers that don't follow through, customer liaison that don't follow through and a corporate office that has failed also. Of course, I will continue to get this resolved, however, I needed to take this step to maybe open the eyes of the corporate office on how their company is failing.

SWINDLED, SCAMMED, FRAUDED, CHEATED and LIED TOO!
I went to Ashley Furniture in 10/20/23 against my husband's advice, because he warned me they would "Screw me over". I went there to buy a SOFA, only a SOFA, to replace the Party time Sofa we once had, which was recalled and Ashley Furniture also refused to replace.
Unfortunately on this day I was victimized by a true Snake of a Salesman Josh Palmieri.
I decided on the Backtrack Dual powered Sofa, he then offered me a great deal to also purchase the recliner. Mind you I didn't see the proverbial knife pointed at my back at that moment. We agreed on a price, he actually SHOOK my hand and smiled at me, with what I thought was genuine customer service, at that moment. Little didn't know this is where his ethics got thrown out the door. We went to the sales counter, he handed me the paper work pointing to where I needed to sign his copies. To my neglect, I trusted him,
Mistake #1.
On 10/25 the order arrived at my house, when the delivery people began to unbox, I noticed it was a love seat, NOT the sofa. The delivery people said, oh no problem, just sign here that this has been delivered, then call this number and they will get it exchanged for you. *******930. Mistake #2
So I called the number and they stated the Store would have to correct it. I found my paperwork and saw that it said a LOVE SEAT not a Sofa. (KNIFE IN THE BACK ENTERED) I then called Josh immediately and ask why he had entered a loveseat, being that I NEVER was interested in a love seat, I had never looked at a loveseat nor did I inquire about a love seat. He then told me he would submit an email to get it corrected. Needless to say I never heard from him again. After countless calls to the store, and speaking to the GM Solomon Sutton, I was told, sorry all sales are final and there is no return policy, and that he had to support his salesmen. UNBELIEVABLE. What I have learned from this is JOSH PALMIERI, consciously, knowingly, and willingly sold me a sofa and recliner, but intentionally entered a loveseat into the system knowing I wouldn't check his work because I had already thanked him for restoring my faith in Ashley furniture. MISTAKE #3. My advice to you is stay clear of this Ashley store and specially stay clear of the SHADY UNETHICAL. We are now stuck with an uncomfortable love seat that we never considered, nor wanted.
Unwanted loveseat , had to use it, the refused to replace it with the sofa I ordered
I am beyond frustrated and out of patience with Regency Furniture/Ashley Furniture. My wife and I bought a dining room table, 6 chairs, and a server from them back in JULY of 2023. The floor models looked nice in the store but when delivered from the warehouse came with scuffs, scratches, dings, damage, and imperfections. We had to send furniture back SIX TIMES to try to get acceptable NEW furniture. They blamed the delivery company but then DON'T OUTSOURCE A THIRD PARTY DELIVERY COMPANY. Also the table we tried 3 different times for and each time it was taken straight out of the box from the warehouse in our living room and was damaged in the same place EVERY time by the extension leaf. There were multiple chips in the paint and wooden legs all over and they just kept offering to send out a technician but I'm sorry I want BRAND NEW FURNITURE THAT WE PAID FOR, not damaged and used furniture. It took SIX DELIVERIES to get 6 acceptable chairs for our matching set sending back 3-4 chairs each time if not all of them until we got decent ones that a technician STILL had to come and provide touchups on the imperfections AND told us he was going to submit a report for 3 new chairbacks but then never submitted the report and we waited an additional 3 WEEKS to hear back at all afterwards. We asked MULTIPLE times for customer service to put us in touch with upper management to request a partial refund for all the hassle after 4 MONTHS of communication back and forth and SIX SEPARATE DELIVERIES in which they give you a 24 hour notice of a 3-4 hour time window for you to TAKE OFF WORK AND BE AVAILABLE FOR A HOME DELIVERY. I gave up so many hours of work just to sit around and wait for this idiotic company and we were never even satisfied. Finally in NOVEMBER, 4 MONTHS LATER, we got in touch with an "escalations office" who said they would look into it, then got back to us the next day and refused to give us ANY REFUND AT ALL. What a joke. I hope all their warehouses burn down.
They strung us along for 4 months and blamed not giving us a refund on the fact that we "already got a discounted rate on the furniture" from the store. And their customer service was a train wreck.

I ordered a mattress and box spring (an adjustable base) in Sept 2023 for $5k. When it was delivered I told them the box spring and mattress together was too high and I couldn't get into the bed and it was uncomfortable and not working for me. They asked for me to contact the adjustable base department for assistance instead to see if it could be lowered. I followed up with that dept to find out they can't help me and the frame cant be lowered any further and I would need to call back the company instead. I have now spent 2 months following up with customer service and trying to get the mattress and box spring returned since when I purchased the items I was told there is a 90 day replacement if I was not happy with the purchase. I have called customer service and this was escalated to a very unhelpful customer service escalation team. I was told I could call back the adjustable frame dept and when I said why I would call them back again when I already did this and they have said they can't help and to call you and you are suggesting I go back to them and there is nothing additional you can do to help. They told me they are not allowing me to return the box spring/adjustable frame but I could exchange the mattress only. I said this makes no sense why I could only exchange one of the items I purchased if I am not happy with this and was told something different by the sales associate and manager at the store. The manager of the customer service team Samantha advised me that my concerns as a customer do not matter, they will not help me, and don't care if I write a review or ever shop in their store again as that is my decision. She also got off the phone by saying she hopes I have the day I deserve. I said I have been following up with your company for 2 months now and if you weren't going to help why didnt you just say that back in Sept instead of making go in circles for months and not caring about the experience for your customers or if I am happy with my purchase. I was discussing with my sales rep on purchasing additional furniture for a future order and when I can return the box spring I can even use the credit to purchase additional things. I asked for this to be escalated further as I am not happy with my purchase and I was told I have a 90 day return on it but they are not honoring that. Samantha's boss also called me to equally confirm they are doing nothing to help, understand that I am not happy with the mattress and bed, and don't care if I write a review or ever shop and purchase another item at Ashely Furniture. I will never shop at or do business with a company that has this mindset that they don't care about their customers or the money that was spent.
Mattress and Box Spring
Where do I begin? I wish that I had read the reviews before buying from them. The bedroom set we purchased is great. The issue is with customer service, and the complete disregard and lack of any accoutability in management. We had paid for the delivery service. At the time of purchase, I had repeatedly asked our sales person Kevin whether it includes removal of our bed frame and two nightstands to the garage, and he said as long as it is in the house (not haul away), it is covered. To ensure, the day before the delivery, I called again to confirm and was told "it should not be a problem at all". Great.
On the day of the delivery, the delivery people arrived and I politely asked them if they can move the metal bed frames and the two night stands to the garage.the delivery person simply said "NO...not part of my job". I tried to explain to him that I would have done it myself but I have a bad back and the sales person and the person I called at Customer Service had assured me it would not be a problem. He said "I have a bad back too" and proceeds to lift his shirt up to show me his support belt.
I called customer service while the delivery people still tjhere and was transferred to call center out overseas. The person on the other line did not speak enough English to understand me and after putting me on hold, she hung up on me. I called again only to be connected to the same person and upon confirming that it was her, she hung up on me again.
I went to the store at about 7:30 p.m. that night to speak with my sales person or with a manager. Neither unavailabe. The person behind the counter with thick brown prescription glasses was so rude when I asked him politely to speak with a manager. He stepped away from his desk to go find him and came back a few minutes later and sat at his counter while i am standing right there and proceeded to go on his computer without saying anything. I asked him if a manager was called and he did not respond. I asked him again, and he told me that the manager stepped out and does not know when he is coming back in. I went through the door and found "Romeo" who was nice at first and told me he is not a manager and a closer. I told him that I need help and tried to explain the situation to him. He cut me off and said "Kevin is too experienced to make such promises and we do not offer removal of the old furniture anywhere" and expressly told me "do not waste your time trying to talk to the manager as it will not go anywhere and I would just be wasting everyone's time. He told me that Jessica is the store manager. I have not called Jessica but I suspect that would be the respnose too.
Again, in the big scheme of things, it is not a big deal but it is!. I was going to buy a living room set that we really liked and a bedroom set for my daugther. But no more.
Bedroom furniture set
March 2023 we bought a reclining love seat from Ashley's located at 333 Matheson Blvd W, Mississauga, ON L5R 3G3. When the delivery people came to deliver our furniture, They dropped the love seat on the front right corner. This resulted in a bent frame and torn material on the kick out when he tried to grab and hold on to it. I informed the driver I did not want the sofa now and wanted it returned. As I went to call the store to tell them, the delivery guys told my wife they had to leave and someone would call leaving this broke piece of junk in my living room. Ashley sent out a tech to change the ripped pad and he left. Once again I had to call telling them it was still not fixed as it was all loose and clunking when you sit in the seat. Once more they sent an other tech that tore the back a park to adjust it and after he left we had a gap between the console and right side back you could see the window through and the outer side of the bake was loose and wouldn't lock in. Every call ends in text us pictures in detail and fill out the form. The third time they sent a fellow to change the frame for the one seat only rather than replace the sofa as I continued to request. Their excuse was we have to send a tech every time rather than solving the problem or satisfying the customer. After the third tech we now have a 1 1/2 inch gaping opening on the side they continued to make worse and can now look out our window through the back of the sofa. One again I had to call, Once again was told text us pictures. This time almost 5 weeks passed waiting to hear from them and what they were going to do to fix this, but no call. When I called them I was told a supervisor would be calling me. Finally a fellow by the name of Jason called telling me he was from head office and as far as they were concerned it meets manufacture spec and they were not willing to repair it or do anything for me, so it was now my product, use it and live with it. After spending good money and having them damage the produce I now have to live with a piece of junk that looks like I bought it from the thrift shop. This company does not honour it's obligation to the customer and will leave you with damage goods. I had to shim the bent frame my self to help close the gap they created and left me with. I now have subpar product sitting in my living room that I will end up replace and wasting more money. The replacement will NOT be purchased with Ashley. Buy Be Ware!
After 3 living room sets we will never buy from Ashley Furniture again!!
