I purchased a $262 framed artwork which arrived badly damaged in two corners. I contacted Art.com and asked for a new frame to be sent or the cost of a new frame to be reimbursed. On 9 January 2019 I was advised that a full refund was processed and I would receive it in 5 - 10 business days. Today, 47 business days later no refund. Art.com then advises as of 20 December 2018 they no longer process international refunds. I am told one thing then another and I feel defrauded. If you are in Australia do not buy from them. I only did as they had a special print. I have been ripped off. These are the two responses from art.com
On the 9 January 2018 - I received this
Dear Chris,
I am sorry that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase. You do not need to return item and you may keep or donate it as you see fit. I have processed full refund for your order and it will be credited to your PayPal account in 7-10 business days. If there is anything else I can do to assist you, please let me know.

Tamera

Stay away from this company. I bought something from them because of their return policy. It states "f you are not satisfied with any item, return it within 30 days of receipt for a free replacement or return; simply complete the return form on the back of the packing slip included with your order. Refunds are issued within 48 hours of receiving the return." What they DON'T tell you is that if you don't like it you have to pay to ship it back. Cost me $38 to return the picture I didn't like. Their return policy also states that you will get your money back in 48 hours. They received my return on Monday, and today is Thursday and I still haven't seen my money. So I checked in with the company and they told me they've issued a gift card for my return. A GIFT CARD. Their return policy doesn't state anything about my $ being put back on a gift card (I did not buy it with a gift card). After dealing with the completely incompetent person in their customer service they said they will refund my money in 7-10 BUSINESS days. So buyer beware. If you don't like the piece, sure you can return it. But you will have to pay to return it - and then you will have to fight to get your money back. Last purchase I EVER make from art.com. Do yourself a favor, go buy your art in person locally.
I ordered two framed photographs two months ago. I received one that was so poorly framed, I would never put it on my wall. Customer service said to keep it or donate it, and they would send out a correctly framed one. I then received a framed photo that had nothing to do with what I ordered... different photo, different frame... you get the picture. Again, they said to keep it or donate it. I finally, after a month and a half received the two photos. They didn't look too bad, even though they were both light as a feather. I hung them, and three minutes later heard a loud thump... one of the pictures had fallen to the ground because the screw attached to the hanging wire had not been placed in the wood properly. At this point, I just asked for a full refund, which they did give me. But what a hassle! I took the posters to Michael's. When they removed the frame and the "glass" I could really see how cheaply framed these pictures were. The frame was nothing but cheap plywood that had been spray painted; the backing was the thinnest paper imaginable, and the glass wasn't glass... it was acrylic! I got the two pictures framed by Michael's with quality products and framing for half the price. Don't bother with this company which used to be great. They have gone to hell and are probably going out of business.
No frames ordered, just prints. Shipping time: 5 weeks.
I don't expect it overnight but 5 weeks is ridiculous.
I placed an international order. During the transaction, art.com said that the items would arrive by Jan: 8 but the items were still not delivered by Jan 18. The customer service didn't provide any tracking information. Instead, they kept saying that the otems would arrived by 13th, then 18th, then 23th, then 28th.
The most awful experience. Ordered with overnight shipping that stated delivery by 12/24. Checked in with them on 12/22 when I saw it was still in production. Told me it would ship on 12/24 and 1-2 day delivery. After a fight, they said it would be delivered 12/24. Waited until 12/23 to tell me the frame was out of stock and wouldn't ship in time. Escalated and when caught with informing me the day before it was to be delivered through chat, they LIED and said they emailed me about the frame on 12/21. Checked every focused, other, and junk email folder - no email. Had to fight again to get them to put a rush in with their production department, but still wouldn't guarantee. Will be checking back in a few hours to make sure it ships out today. Completely unreliable, terrible
Customer service. They could have put in a rush with production from the start instead of me having to get forceful through chat for 1.5hrs. Huge waste of time. Was planning to order more, but will never order from them again or refer them to anyone.
Ordered 9 canvas prints. 2 damaged, 2 no wire to hang 1 lost. Will never use art.com again! No humans to help at customer service.
After two month I waited and contact this site, none of the items I bought has received and my account still waiting for the refund. Second agent lie and said refund has submited but i checked all my accounts including personal contact my bank and nothing has arrived.
DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!
I wanted to order a framed print for a Christmas present. art.com had the print I was after so I proceeded to order. It was November, but at checkout the print was showing a delivery date of December 21st. A little concerned that this was close to Christmas I had a chat with one of art.com's agents regarding the delivery date and they assured me that a delivery date of the 21st would be met.
Today, December 22nd, one day after the print was due, I receive an email stating that the print 'will be delivered a bit late'. I spoke to another art.com agent today who stated the item is not in stock and has been "re-ordered". Re-ordered? What happened to the original order, and if something did happen why not notify my then rather than leave it until after the due date. This just does not add up.
Checking the website again, the print is showing as in stock with a delivery date of Jan 9th. I asked the agent if this date was accurate (twice), but was given the following brush off
"I am extremely sorry, The holiday time we are not guaranteed the date you are receive the package. "
So despite being assured I would received my order on time (it's not unreasonable to expect given it was ordered 4 weeks prior to due date), and the art.com website still showing stock they cannot tell me when I should expect delivery.
It's clear now they had no stock in the first place and list items as available/for sale on their website regardless of whether they hold stock or not.
Useless.
Framed canvas arrived much darker than example given and it looks cheap. Won't use them in the future.
$180.00 for pictures with Marks on them. Both pictures were poorly wrapped (canvas) and marked up. I will never buy from there again.
Never use this company. Ordered this week's ago and promised Express shipping. They really messed up my daughter birthday present.
Text on Image - why and who would want that! I don't want the hassle of returning but this is not what I wanted. See pic attached.
I bought 12"X16" pictures from art.com. The moment I opened the package, I didn't want it framed up on the wall. The first print is an F-14D Tomcat about to be launched off an aircraft carrier deck (item # *******). The pitot tube of the plane was cut off at the left edge of the picture, and the plane's vertical stabilizer was too near the right edge of the picture. The second picture is an aircraft carrier (item # *******), the front end of the ship was cut off at the left edge of the picture and the rear end of the ship was cut off at the right edge of the picture. A good picture includes the ENTIRE photo subject COMPLETELY within the paper's edges with generous room to spare on all four sides. Imagine a passport photo of your face but the top of your head is missing at the top edge, or your chin is cut off at the bottom edge, you get the drift. My purchase is an international order to Singapore so I didn't bother asking for replacement prints or a refund. Too much hassle. Besides, the replacement prints would come back the same as the ones I threw away.
For over $350.00 I received a print framed of very low quality. The mat doesn't fit with the print and the frame is now real wood! Don't buy there!
What I received was a joke and sending it back cost almost as much as buying the crap. I would never purchase or recommend this site to anyone.
Terrible, picture isn't even close to being centered and off cuts of picture visible on sides. Very poor quality.
Company lies, promises overnight shipping only to reply oops sorry
I am going to cancel my payment now
Incredible Sales and Beautiful Art pieces. The selection is wide, and are of good quality. Nice Look
Answer: Don't be fooled, this company is a scam, they don't deliver and don't refund.
Answer: I found a print and wanted to have it mounted and framed.
Answer: They make their 800 number a bit hard to find and be aware that who you start speaking with has little to no escalation power to resolve more complex matters.
