Aramex & transparency, A company without responsibilities!

Recently I had a very bad experience with Aramex. Their extreme neglegance led them to lose my passport. Communication with Aramex after the event was a waste of time. The only thing they have done till now is the expression of sorrow. According to them the maximum compensation they can pay for any lost parcel is $ 100 whatever its real value. Taking into considerations that they have charged $ 65 to ship the 180 gram parcel, means that the real compensation is $ 35. ( Nothing is paid till now after 5 months of the event.)
Questions for Aramex, they refused to answer it during my communication with them:
*Is $ 35 s fair compensation of a lost passport?
*Where can we find their Alleged compensation policy? I can not find it anywhere, not in the shipping receipt, not on their web site, & I did request to see it but they ignored.
* If Aramex can not pay a fair compensation, why not to allocate little part of their high fees to insure important shipments specially documents?
* What is the justification of charging $ 65 for 180 gram parcel & what service they provide in return?
By reviewing the shipping receipt, which represents the contract between the sender & Aramex, nothing was found regarding their obligation as to how & when(time frame) to deliver the parcel. Also nothing about their responsibilities regarding lost or damaged parcel.
* Why Aramex charge high shipping fees from individuals without providing equivalent care & responsibilities? On the other side, Aramex seems to charge amazingly low shipping fees from online shopping stores.
Will Aramex respect their customers & declare the hidden policies in their job or continue to deceive them?

Saturday, 28th Nov 2020- Came at 8:30am. No prompt, no reminders, didn't ring the bell, didn't call, left the card just like that, with no address, no phone number. Had to Google where my parcel went.

Monday, 30th Nov - Office were closed so called on Monday. The office guy offered to deliver in 2 to 3 days

Wednesday, 2nd December - I called the delivery guy, Vinnie, to check if he has my parcel today. He said no. I called the office to confirm if the parcel will be delivered tomorrow, Thursday, so I can organise my errands. The office guy confirmed, yes, tomorrow.

Come 5:30pm, Wednesday, Vinnie called as he is at my place to deliver. I explained the office said tomorrow. I am not home, I am finishing my errands so I will be home the whole day tomorrow for the delivery. Vinnie was so rude and dropped the call while I was still talking.

The office was closed so had to call the next day.
Thursday, 3rd Dec - I called the office and they said the parcel will be delivered in another 2 to 3 business days! Or picked up in 24 to 48 hours. I had to plead the guy so I can just pick the thing up. I am so over it. Big headache. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Please

I placed an order for a new phone from CarreFour online market - Dubai on the 28th of November 2020. Aramex had it in their Umm Ramool warehouse on the 29th - as you can see from the screenshot I have attached. They commit and promise to deliver on the 1st of November between a huge window of 9am to 9pm. I waited the WHOLE day!. Today is the 4th and there is no sign of the package. After calling the call center at my expense and speaking to them for 30 minutes - they say there is nothing they can do due to holidays and I cannot even arrange to pick it up myself personally. They say the delivery will now take place on the 5th of November. THERE IS NO EXCUSE GOOD ENOUGH FOR MAKING A DELIVERY COMMITMENT IN WRITING AND THEN FAILING TO KEEP IT UP. Aramex Customer Service is despicable and is lower than third world country standards! Aramex Five thumbs down! The FaceBook messenger chat IS ALSO A BOT! How bad can bad get? CarreFour - are you listening?

This is the worst delivery service I have experience in my whole life. I ordered a book in Sidney to be delivered to my girlfriend in Melbourne for her birthday. The book made it to Melbourne, but Aramex has never managed to deliver it after two weeks.
The same sick joke repeats all the time: the courier never rings the doorbell, never calls you on your phone, all they do is to leave a calling card in your mailbox saying your were not home (LIE: there was always somebody home) and asking to check out on the website for further instructions. This website is totally useless and NEVER gives any further instruction (it just says to come back the next day), so you have to contact them by yourself. I tried to reach out to the seller, who asked me to fill in a form on aramex website to initiate re-delivery, but the same happened: just dropping a calling card in the mailbox, and that was not even on the day that we selected on the website.
The only option they can offer is to pick up the parcel at their central Melbourne depot, which is located 15km (!) from where my girlfriend lives. The local shops that are advertised as delivery points on their website do not work them any more (and one of them made it pretty clear that they didn't want to hear about them any more because of all the problems they create)
I really don't know how they expect people to receive parcels if they do not even try to ring the customer's door when "delivering". Are the customers supposed to sit on their porch all day? How can they call it "delivery" if the customer has to travel 15km to pick up the parcel? There are high street merchants which are closer...
After two weeks, it became clear that the delivery would never occur and I had to request a refund to the seller.
Total fraud, avoid by all means!

Stolen Order
November 1, 2020

Thanks to Aramex who left my order at 10pm at night outside my apartment building of 30 blocks instead of leaving a card as promised last week when i called check on parcel my parcel has been stolen and i paid for nothing. My supplier claims he didnt tell aramex to leave parcel out my apartment building. I am very upset. This photo sent to me by aramex. Mum was up at 10pm and said no one rung door bell. Whether stranger walking by, a cat, a dog or somebody in my building has taken my item it is saddening to me as i expect better especially aramex is not cheap shipping

NEVER USE ARAMEX
October 18, 2020

DO NOT ever send anything with this company. They have constantly lost packages sent to me. Are unable to give any answers as to why. Have the worst customer service I've ever come across and even if they do manage to deliver they may just dump your package out the front where it will be stolen... Yes, I purchased 2 Phones over $1000 and they left them sitting on my front fence, never to be seen again.
When I contacted them they said they had no record of the item and other times they have said they are looking into it, only to send a message 3 minutes later saying the issue has been resolved when nothing had been fixed or sorted out.

If you like to lose things. Give away your money. Waste your time trying to get them back and being treated like nothing more than pond scum, use Aramex

THE WORST EVER, before they were okay now dealing with them is like throwing spear at a target while blind folded, you may hit your target but its never guaranteed. They lost my original bachelors transcripts and not accepting that they lost upon requesting cancellation they just forgot my case regardless of my daily follow up.

I may press charges on them.

Don't deal with Aramex for your own good.

100% Apathy
September 1, 2020

Five stars for Australia's Worst Customer Service. They don't care. Smartphone left in letter box and lid open. No prior contact attempted. My phone number is printed on the address label. Supplier promised a text. "Customer care" says my supplier didn't provide an e-mail address, so it's not our problem! I repeat "phone number is on the box." Disembodied voice repeats "not our problem". They must have invented the phrase " couldn't care less" Why does the department even exist? I hope they're cheap.

I bought a fitness equipment and asked to deliver through Fastway courier. But unluckily these idiots (Aramex) owns it now.(which I don"t know earlier). If I knew it, I should have never bothered to get it delivered through these ones. They dropped around $500 worth gym equipment outside my gate in driveway. I have an intercom outside gate, which they never bothered to use. Luckily my next door neighbour saw it and informed us. I tried to chat with these idiots through Whatsapp and with no reply at all, I got a link to submit enquiry online after waiting for 20 minutes. Worst service ever. Never again in my life I will use these dirty, cheap sh*t holes.

They take weeks to deliver an item. Upon calling them, they keep you waiting for nothing less than 45 min. After this time, I gave up and hung up.

I received a package of online shopping. When I opened it, and took out all bags of dresses i bought. I saw a small empty plastic bag. In between the stresses bags I found a bracelet with no bag. Then a necklace tied up together in a strange way. When I checked the original package again to see if anything is still in it, I found a piece of a golden chain. It took me a couple of minutes to realise that someone has managed somehow to take the necklace out of the bag, break the chain, damage the necklace, then tie it together in that poor Way and toss everything back separately inside the package. Aramex is setting a horrifying standard of good service, honesty, care, and professionalism.

I wish I could give Aramex (Fastway) Negative Rating. Don't trust this courier its being 2 weeks now and the parcel is still stuck in their warehouse in Sydney and this is not the first time it's happening it happened when they changed the name to Sandle and when they were Fastway.
They don't even tell what is happening and just say that delays can happen, It's not a courier company it is rubbish. DO NOT TRUST.

This kind of business, is the future, full stop! But only when you take out the camels of the road... The way the staff handle all the operations... is simply prehistoric! Remind me of the way the Mayans use to send their comms through simply people, running on kilometers to the next town... thats the way Aramex works, at least here in Doha. No interest at all on solving problems, logistics is the less of the logics, waisting resources, lot of staff doing the same thing, minimum input, nothing of effort to have satisfied customers. With the Covid pandemic, their level of excuses have increase. I import a lot of samples for a businessman on potential future productions, so I use Aramex, but I do all the "comms", calling to the Hubs, requesting information on when they will ship, where are the eternal flights that never land (eternal fuel tanks), and is because I do all of this, they help. That I said that DOHA team always blames the other Hubs? Yes they do! UK, Spain they give you full support and info. But Doha? Uhmm the worst! I wonder if Mr. Bashar Obeid knows about this... The customers are doing the logistics, simply because there is not a desire to get into the action. The handle on communications have been a disaster and very sorry to say unacceptable. Is not about money (even when is not cheaper), is about quality!
