Liars on various levels
August 28, 2024

Lied to me on various levels:
1) Clearly indicated on their tracking they received their item which was scanned on 12 AUG (with an update on Amazon that the item would be arrive at my destination on 20 AUG) yet when I speak to their customer service officer regarding the item, they insist it wasn't received till 19 AUG (changing their date to 23 AUG).

The shipment has been x-ray scanned at our Aramex origin facility

The shipment has been received at our Aramex origin office and will continue its journey to the destination country
2) Insisted that it takes 4-7 working days to ship from US to UAE but have no idea what is happening --- no response from their US office, no updates on what is happening nothing.
3) Started to ignore all chats and while indicating their chat works from 1030am - 0930pm, even at 7pm, I am told to come back when it's within their working hours for the chat -- no other way to contact.
4) after 15 days, no update from Aramex except on tracker claiming that the item will be returned to the shipper --- upon finally getting a hold of someone on their chat, I was informed that the item was returned as it's a prohibited item (repeated twice)-- the item was purchased from Amazon and customs in UAE have stated clearly on their website that not only is the item NOT PROHIBITED, but it is VAT exempt... Now they are refusing to engage again.

Poor service, No professionalism, terrible sorting facilities which don't even know the basics of processing deliveries - They should really provide better training to their staff and improve their processes to be remotely close to matching their competitors.

10/10 would NEVER use, if it was up to me to choose.

A real nightmare
October 6, 2021

I have never taken time to write complains or reviews in internet, I always thought it's a waste of time and energy. This time, my level of frustration towards Aramex Couriers is so high that I have no choice but write, it's kind of necessary therapy after what has happened.
I have ordered already long ago some product from Instagram, it's so happened that Aramex has been in-charge of the shipping. My God, if I knew that this company was soo unprofessional, I would have never ordered anything that day. First of all, it took weeks for a product to arrive to India from China, but hey, due to Corona virus, it's understandable, so until then, no complain at all. But the nightmare started when I was receiving mails everyday (sometime 2/3 mails) to get address proof. Those people from Aramex can't understand that you are having an address of shipping that is different than the address you are registered to, I'm a French Citizen spending lot's of time in India. So I had to send many e-mails explaining that my house is in the middle of the jungle and that nobody deliver there (thinking they would deliver to my house of course). I had to send at least 5/6 mails attaching all possible documents which were always refused for a reason or another, and this was only custom clearance matter. After a week of hard battle, Aramex tells me that custom clearance is done and send me an invoice... Ok, I will have to pay custom duty now, I never have to pay any custom fees of any kind when I order in Amazon, but that's the way it is so ok I will pay the extra 540rs. Anyway, after waiting another 15 days, I finally received an sms telling me that my parcel has arrived in Almora / Uttarakhand /India, and that I can finally go and pick it up. Please note that nobody called me, it's an sms, and also, please note that after all these harassment about address proof, you are the one who have to go and pick up your parcel, nobody is delivering.
When I finally found where was located the courier and I arrived in front of the building I thought: God, finally that nightmare is over... No no no... We don't have your parcel, It was standing here for 2 days so we sent it back... 2DAYS? Imagine after all these troubles, the parcel is standing there for 2 days and they are sending it back... So I got back home frustrated like anything, I wrote another letter to Aramex, giving them all possible details. I got a relatively fast answer telling me that people have tried to call me (which is not true) and didn't get through to me hence the parcel left again to where it came from. I replied again, giving them 2 different numbers in case. Next, I'm receiving another email from Aramex telling me that my parcel has been dropped to the local post office, and it will be easily traceable with the tracking numb they are providing. I also get a phone numb in India to call for help. When I tried to call this numb, I got answer from an answering machine, nobody to talk too, and at the end of the message, its says that the message box is full so it's not possible to record any messages. Ba ha ha ha, at this point, you already know you will never see that parcel, it's totally ridiculous. Never-mind, I decide to go to GPO in Almora since Aramex told me they dropped it in local post office, I show them the tracking numb, but NO, nothing is there. I decided to go again to the first courier deliverer in case there was any confusions, the guy looked at the numb and said the first 3 digits don't fit with anything he knows, they don't have anything for me there...
So I have no choice but to give up. Now another fight is starting, this to get my money back, but since I have paid with Paypal, I'm pretty sure a company as serious as them will take no time to reimburse me.
As a conclusion, I will never go near Aramex couriers anymore EVER. I'm completely traumatized, and I won't order anything on instagram either, we never know, Aramex may be handling it...
Advice for all readers, STAY AWAY FROM ARAMEX, IT MAY TAKE WEEKS FOR YOU TO RECOVER.

WORST Shipper for International Shipment
October 22, 2020

If anything, i've learnt that Aramex (internally) is A HUGE MESS and i will avoid aramex services wherever possible.

I've reached out regarding custom taxes on one of my international parcels incurred a SIGNIFICANT amount (more than the parcel's value). Upon checking, the problem arised from shipper declaring the wrong value amount.

I called up Aramex customer hotline and the customer service rep shared that this could be EASILY RECTIFIED as long as my shipper send a revised consignee invoice. HE WAS HOWEVER RUDE IN HIS EXPLANATION.

So my shipper then proceeded to do that, but received an email saying that Aramex REJECTED the new invoice (without any explanation). I immediately send an email on the same night to their contact us portal for help and advice.

In the morning, i received a response (via email) that Aramex (Apparently) DID NOT RECEIVE my shipper new consignee invoice, and that i have to check in with my shipper.

I decided to call Aramex hotline and this time round a new customer service rep shared that my parcel DOES NOT EXIST in their system. 10 mins into the call, the rep shared that my parcel is ALREADY ON THE WAY TO ME and I have to pay them on the spot or call custom. I asked for custom number or contact and the rep said she doesn't know "you have to google, i can't help you."

WELL:
1. Aramex REJECTED my shipper new consignee invoice
2. Aramex EMAILED BACK saying they did not receive my shipper email
3. Aramex COULD NOT FIND my parcel at first
4. Aramex suddenly confirm that my parcel MIRACULOUSLY appeared again in the system
5. Aramex ARRANGED UNPLANNED DELIVERY (what if i was not home?)
6. Aramex CANNOT PROVIDE EXPLANATION why they rejected the invoice even up till today
7. Aramex HANDS OFF the situation and were not able to advice anything.
8. RUDE CUSTOMER REPS. Hotline staff are all based in the Philippines which i am completely fine with (Pinoys are some of my fav people in the world), but for Aramex staff - extremely unbelievably rude.
9. PAYMENT WAS STILL CHARGED TO ME NOT SHIPPER*********** Can you believe it, i paid more for custom than my items. Even thou it was the shipper's fault, i am sure some arrangement could have been done between them. Extremely disappointed by their hands off attitude, and just pay us.
10. DONT USE ARAMEX EVER.
