GReat Range of products and lots with free delivery
Very useful site - like an internet WalMart on steroids, lots of info, lots of products, it's very big, takes a bit of getting used to, but if you know what you want to buy and are very particular, this is the site for you.
As a seller, stay far away! I have been a customer for five years. I recently listed my college books on the website and some of my old phones, I sold about $400.00 and then they put my account on suspension for no reason. They then told me that they would keep my $400 for 90 days until the review was up. Really, come on, how can this my books be suspect. They tell you to do an appeal but they want accept any information such as receipts or ID's. My guess is that they are putting our funds into stock or something. 90 days is just unfair and we can't do anything about it. I know 100's of more sellers just like me. We pay the price and they get a good reputation.

My daughter found a pair of shoes she needed for a modeling show and they had exactly what she needed- so we thought. I was very surprised when the shoes came quickly as promised. The shoes are beautiful. Problem is that they didn't fit. I suggested reordering (see their policy) for a larger size but it seems that they're limited in that sense ( no 11's for that shoe). Purchased hundreds and hundreds of things here. No complaints at all, it is a great place to buy. It has something that I can't still point out completely that makes it stand out from the crowd. I've thought about it long and hard as I want to understand this je ne sais quoi to use in some of my work, but still haven't fully pointed it out.
I think it goes somewhere around ease of use, great policies on returns, fast shipping, amazon prime and good products all around. But, there are still a few things that I feel that can't explain.
That being said, fully recommended.

I have had an account with Amazon.com for about 7 years. Generally, I buy books, CD. LP's and camera and binoculars from them. They offer a wide selection of merchandize, and a buyer to listen to samples of CD tracks before they buy They also good checkout and cart system. E-mail annoucements are almost daily and informative, I don't like their system of shipping rates enforced on their sellers's which can be as expensive as the new or used item you are buying. Shipping time by them or vedors is generally very slow and just terrible, You could wait as much a month if you chose "standard" shipping, and expedited shipping is tooo expensive. Amazon needs to strike a "volume" of merchandize deal with USPS to ship everything at discounted and lower Priority Mail rates. Give the customer a break, and allow vendors not be forced to use bulk mail to ship which takes weeks to get, and sometimes loses the item shipped.
Refurbished Guitar Hero drumset was described as "100% guaranteed to work". Part of it did not work at all when we received it, so we had to pay another $28 to send the part back. They eventually replaced it, but ignored all my requests to refund the shipping cost. It was a lot of work and for what it ended up costing us, we could have bought a brand new one with a little more money. I will not ever purchase from this company again.
Recently purchase my kindle, and after the hype I was sure ready to feel the let down. Turns out it never came.
With the population of the vast majority of books I would like to read in the next 10 years, the kindle has opened a whole new world to me. I read treasure island last week, just while on the metro. Truly superb.
I am also 100% in love with the product suggestions as they are bang on and are the reason I read the hunger games. I have now fully converted to the e-reader (other than text books) and do not think that I will be going back any time soon. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
