I used Amazon (Canada) for years with usually no problems, then since March I have had multiple amounts withdrawn from my account only to get notices that my payments have been declined and the product isn't being shipped! I've wrote emails to them and repeatedly tried to reach someone but because of covid 19 there is a lack of customer support and anyone really keeping an eye on transactions. Unfortunately our bank can only block future debits so needless to say I will never be shopping with Amazon again. We live in a remote community so online shopping is a necessity for us and our friends which Amazon will no longer be part of.
I shop on Amazon.ca almost daily. I have purchased things like clothing, electronics, wall art, shoes, computer gadgets, quality sheets and comforters, mens work books, books, and all kinds of gadgets that I see people use but cant find in stores. Shipping is so dependable and since I am a prime member I get most products within a day or 2. I have returned a few things without any hassles. They have refunded me my money almost immediately. I cant say the same about a lot of other shop on line companies that I have used. Their costumer service is top notch, they stand behind their customers. So happy to be a frequent Amazon shopper, saves me the trouble of rushing out and fighting traffic and searching for things... saves me time and money. Love this company!
Providing feedback to amazon.ca is as useless as praying for piece in the world, well, at least the latter inspire hopes, amazon doesn't! After many disastrous calls to amazon.ca to correct delivery problems, I wrote to *******@amazon.com hoping to reach upper management. I did! But they are just as useless as their regular customer service people. No wonder the service is terrible; the leaders are! This company is at high risk of collapsing because they are so big that they lost the ability of correcting bad services from customer feedback. And there are no ways to go over customer service leaders; they just block the chain right at their offices! Their attitude is sinking their own company!
Think twice about dealing with Amazon as they will charge you with unauthorized shipping charges and they do not make it easy to advise them of the issues. I was quite taken aback when in one instance I was advised that Prime applied to both US and Canada and then advised differently. I just now noticed that they had charged me without my consent, I have not had a response yet. Unfortunately I dealt a lot with them in the past but if it is not shipped by them using Prime or by another supplier it takes a back seat. So If you want to pay $100 for Prime for shipping only it is not to your advantage.
So far Amazon is the best online store as of today. You could compare products in different prices. If you always order online then you should get a Prime so delivery is free and fast. If you have problems you could easily return it and they will provide you return documents so you pay nothing. You could track your orders and if you are a Prime member then the most late it has to be delivered to you is in 2 days, that include Saturdays and Sundays. I already ordered over 500 items with them and I only got 2 items with problem (both swimsuit for my wife), seller send the wrong size but they ask me to keep both of it and they both send another with the right size that I have ordered.
So Amazon, its a great website no matter which part of the world you are in, as for me I am reviewing the Canadian Amazon.ca. Its a great site but for only particular goods such a Accessories, Jewelry, can find great deals on wrist watches. Such as Seiko Diver a Jewelry store or Sears will for $365 (example) the same watch can be found on Amazon for $280, now some people might ask how can Amazon do this? Its because Amazon get the products to you directly from the Manufacturer cutting the middle men out so the distributor and wholesalers in between are cut out thus saving on cost and other marketing efforts. Other great things to buy from Amazon are... well just explore its a lot of fun. Take care, any question just email me *******@hotmail.com
Amazon is a complete ripe off and becoming a prime member is worse. Your charged a yearly membership fee only for them to charge you more for every item that you purchase! I ordered a matress from them that has yet to be delivered and four days after calling continuously the Supervisor TELLS me that I refused MY order. Which was completely false. He finished off with an attitude as though I should not have been frustrated. Complete lack of regard for customers. I definitely will not a sucker for I'll treatment. Save yourself the headache and go to a store physically, especially for expensive items.
It may not be the fault of amazon.ca, but our carriers in canada SUCKS. They are very unprofessional...
Thats one reason for the bad rating.
Second reason is that Amazon.ca PRIME also sucks.
You dont get faster shipping + amazon.ca music doesnt work on xbox. When Amazon.com music does. Makes no sense.
Amazon owes me a refund. Placed two orders one with three items. Prior to shipping I realized one item was the wrong length. I canceled it and reordered the correct size. They however decided to charge me for the other two items at $25.97 without refunding the $22.59 for canceled item even though they already charged me $48.54 for sll three items. So I have now paid $105.01 for items worth $56.45. I await 48 hrs to determine if the correction will be made. I don't trust their customer service reps or supervisors as I have had this run around from other companies to contact your bank but it was the retailer that took the debit and didn't correct with a deposit. It's shady behaviour. They always double charge immediately but make you wait for a adjustment/correction that may never happen without time and follow up.
Absolutely love amazon! Being a prime member is awesome as well most of my deliverys come with in few days and so many extra goodies like movies tv shows, and all my audiobooks!... but most importantly to me is the customers service always helpful and resolve any problems I may have in a professional manner
I can't tell you how many "guaranteed delivery by XX date" purchases I've made for the items to show up weeks after the guaranteed delivery date which is largely what customers will base their purchases around especially around the holidays. Why promise something you can never deliver on it seems? Furthermore the amount of "wish" cheap knockoffs being passed off as the original thing is astonishing. Its a gamble every time you buy something now! ALSO if you have to return something, even if you pay for a prime membership you still have to pay for return shipping and you only have a very specific window to do it in. There's no buyers protection especially if you're gambling with receiving the correct / proper item and not a cheap knock off thats falsely advertised
I've given this company more than their fair share of chances to get things right but it seems impossible. They mess up every order and delivery like it's on purpose and hire Intelcom, the worst delivery company possible to delivery for them. I'd rather take my chances at Walmart and thats not saying much. I refuse to give this incompetent company another penny so I have stopped shopping there altogether and advise others to do the same.
Amazon does not have a handle on fraudulent sellers. I've bought several items which I didn't receive. Yes, amazon covers the cost but so what. I've waited 2 months for my items which I now have to resource again... plus they keep my money for that time as well. They need to investigate the 'new' sellers more diligently!
Had Prime all through 2016 and have used Amazon for years with zero complaints. Renewed my Prime and now find that the former free 2 day delivery service is garbage. They use Canada post and it takes 3-6 days. Canceled Prime and will no longer be doing business with them.
I placed an order for this item on April 30,2020. I know there is a pandemic going on that slows down shipping and delivery. I got a guaranteed delivery date for May 12, then it got moved to May 15, then no delivery date. They said "we will email you when we have a delivery date". Someone said from amazon "check back within a week", I did and nothing. There was one more left in stock, then a couple days later item currently unavailable. Amazon said "were sorry it's out of stock" but I ordered one when they were in stock. I canceled the order after all that waiting. Getting my money back. Amazon is crap.
I basically had a supervisor, who didn't give her name tell me to stop ordering with Amazon as they are unable to resolve the fraudulent activity on my account. Amazon does not care about the persons that made them who they are. I rarely return items on Amazon and in trying to return a product its proven to be hellish!
Don't get your account hacked cause they won't help you at all. Its been over a week and I contacted them again and all I can get it "we are sending it to our high priority accounts department" no one ever contacts me back. You would think they would hurry up when someones account is in danger. Not impressed I am done with amazon.
I'm a procrastinator when it comes to shopping for Xmas. I strongly dislike the malls and struggle to come up with gift ideas that are likely to appreciated by the recipients.
On Dec. 16 I browsed through amazon.ca and started getting some ideas. On Dec. 17 I made my decisions and placed an order for 7 items. All items were delivered on Dec. 21, one day ahead of the promised date.
I'm thrilled with the peace of mind this experience is giving me. My first time shopping online for Xmas gifts.
Now, I just have to wrap the gifts, something I enjoy doing.
Thank you amazon!
I shared my previous experience with a fraudulent seller on amazon.ca at this site before. I have been vigilant to assess the credibility of 3rd-party sellers on amazon.ca ever since. In late August 2017, however, I placed another order from a seller named Bella Sally based on amazon's 5-star rating of "100% positive over 12-month period'. It turned out that this proved to be another fraud! I have been tracking customer reviews on Bella Sally since then - all 1-star rating and no delivery, of course! I am amazed to realize that this seller has been cheating on customers for quite a while and the scams have been allowed to continue by amazon.ca! I cannot believe this is what is happening in Canada - a relatively honest country with good international reputation.
Customer service is terrible and stupid when i asked them about my credit for the refund of the alternator they said they would refund it at the latest on 25.08.2023 but now 2 days later no refund then they will not refund it till i fill out the form that they have all the answers for due to their mistakes?
Answer: Don't believe their delivery guarantee. They are late 4/10 times and are unremorseful for it
Answer: Very tough! No longer usable fir me, a Top 1000 and Vines Reviewer.
Answer: If you need customer service good luck it's not existing
Answer: I've never had to pay duty on anything from Amazon.ca, even if it was shipped from another country.
Answer: If Amazon is going to use a third party courier service, (such as Intelcom), cancel your order and shop elsewhere.
Answer: Happened to me. Just another sneaky way that Amazon operates. Welcome to the club.
