These guys are way to slow at refunding items, or their employees are just lazy. It takes them longer than 24 hours after receiving my item, to send a refund. They received my item at 8 am on a Friday. Since amazon.ca doesn't work on weekends, except for customer service reps who do f*ck all. As if they can't have people work on weekends but are completely okay taking customer orders on weekends. I must wait at least 4 days for my refund to be sent back even though Amazon has the product in their facility and could probably even sell it again before I get my money back!
Have ordered lots of Prime. Service is going down hill fast. They do not give good product descriptions and blame the poor info on suppliers. Do not resolve issues with products not working 100% properly. If you send in a review they will refuse if you they do not like.On meeting other online deals they say they meet but give gift certificates that can only be used on certain items. Spam out specials and when you go to place they have none left. In short. Waste too much of my time...
Ordered a sump cover said it would be delivered june 7/17 to june 14/17 ship latest on june 12/17 nothing sent called several times they don't know where it is or when it will ship! Thanks AMAZON Canada for wasting 3 weeks of my time! I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of merchandise no more also I was a prime member not no more cancelling that as well! Take a hike! Customer service sucks!
I have Prime and like others it's lacking in timely delivery. I also put a note on my account to put the boxes in the parcel box below the mailbox but somehow they can't read English and deposit in plain view behind my mailbox or at the door. For some reason I can no longer post reviews (posted over 500, mainly books) and bought 5919 items in the last 3 years. Now all my reviews are erased and there's no appeal to their decision even though I have no idea what I did wrong. Next payment for Prime will be cancelled and I will find my stuff elsewhere. I'm a professional reader and they just cut off one of my main plane for reviews.
Most items i have to send back so I'm thankful for free shipping and returns. A lot of the stuff is cheap, imported dollar store quality at a premium price, so back it goes. Like this cheap keyboard I'm using now. The space bar doesn't work every time, so back it goes tomorrow. Very frustrating! Delivery is good though not two days as promised but that's not a big deal to me. If only the products were quality I'd give Amazon 5 stars.
I've had Amazon Prime for several years and it makes no sense to me that they still use Dynamex as a courier. I have yet to have a package arrive on time, and in many cases, at all.
With 611 bad reviews on Google about this Courier all related to Amazon deliveries, why on earth is Amazon still using them?
1.3 out of 5 stars is the average... complete waste of time.
Amazon... wake up and pay attention to your customers. If you cannot offer same day or next day delivery because this is the only option, then so be it... I would rather wait then to have to deal with this very incompetent courier.
Ordered a rug for my mom on her birthday and got something that looks nothing like the one we ordered. Dealing with Amazon customer support was a complete waste of time and a headache. I will never shop here again. Ever.
Your listing will not be visible and it will take countless emails to find out why when it says active, it is not actually listed on Amazon because you only have the Individual selling plan. Terrible customer service from people who really could not care less.
I make some product choices based on delivery timeframe. Why does Amazon change the delivery date…significantly as soon as the purchase goes through. This has gone from once in a while to a 95 % chance for every purchase. Amazon and google are in tandem pushing over priced alternative products even though my search is very specific. The fake 5 star reviews of products are way to easy to spot.
[as so many US retailers won't ship to Canada, or jack up shipping fees...]
I love Amazon.ca I always check Amazon prices prior to making a purchase and they usually have the best prices! Shipping is often included in the price [this is sooo Great!] I've never had a product or shipping problem that hasn't been solved to my complete satisfaction by Amazon.ca Customer Service...
-Thank You Amazon for serving Canadians!
Amazon is a great site! They always have what I am looking for at comparable pricing. Not everything I have received was in A1 condition, but they are quick to help resolve any issues. Free shipping over $35 is great and my fiance has the Prime membership which is wonderful.
Three problems with orders.
1. Packaging has been much over packaged, wasting a LOT of paper and plastic and cardboard - in today's climate change world, this is totally irresponsible.
2. Amazon will keep offering you "Kindle Unlimited Membership", again and again, even after you have purchased this. I only realized today, that over a year have repurchased this twice, thinking I had refused it before. There is no way to cancel these purchases, so beware and check you records on Amazon to see if you have purchased this already, before you fork out another $9.99!
3. Packages from across the world are not designated as such, but are often poorly packaged, sometimes with damage to the goods, and to send it back requires you to put the parcel in a new package, and send it all the way back over 1000's of miles, often over oceans, for recompense for a smallish or large purchase. So, before ordering, check to see where the package is coming from.
I have been ordering from Amazon for several years now and recently added Amazon Prime. My hubby is in love with the free movies. Prime is even set up so if you want to cancel during the 30 day free trial you can do so right away, in case you forget. That's honest!
Items arrive quickly, tracking and communication are great and easy. I also deal with Amazon.com and my experience is just as good. Not one bad experience in years of use. You can trust this company and order with confidence.
The one con is that they have different pricing for the same item so make sure you are buying at the lowest price!
Received zero help from customer service regarding keyboard delivered non-functioning. They can't seem to deal with their third party sellers. Expect me to return a piano keyboard requiring out of pocket expenses on my part. Then wait until they get around to processing a refund.
I've just deleted an order I was going to send as it was well over $35.00 but still added $12.00 for shipping. They claim one item was shipped from another supplier. They seem to use this on a regular basis.
I can't believe Amazon.ca. The owners of Amazon whoever started the business for the website obviously doesn't monitor any of their sellers. Around every corner is a lying cheating seller trying to get your money.
I read the reviews and every single one on certain products says they've been ripped off and lied to. You go looking for another one same thing and on and on. If it is simply a sign of the times and everybody is a criminal then I just quit. I cannot believe how many scams take place on Amazon.ca. I am stunned how many criminals are out there. What kind of a world do we live in?
Since I am not allowed to view my displeasure with amazon.ca regarding packaging on their site, I thought this would be the better format. I recently bought 2 vinyl records and received them in a very large rectangular box, at least 2 and half to 3 times the size of the records. There were no inserts and/or bubble wrap to protect the records during shipping and, of course, as a result they were tossed around during shipment. I would advice against purchasing any vinyl records with amazon, as you will never receive them in mint condition. How frustrating!
I am a bookseller offering his used books at amazon.ca, so perhaps I am biased. There are thousands of individual sellers on this site, so maybe some of them are not as dependable as others, but it is always possible to check their rating before buying from them. Anyway, I also bought new books from amazon itself, and the service was absolutely perfect.
Be careful shopping on Amazon!
I have lost a lot of money on double charges with customer service no where to be found, or when I do find them I don't have a half hr to stay on hold (mom of 5 expecting a 6th) and I never get the help I'm looking for. Their prices are also getting up there for products that are cheaply made despite the description stating otherwise. I think a lot of the product reviews are from individuals paid to write them.
It's such a shame that companies like this are taking advantage of average people who during a pandemic that limits availability of items in their town, have to shop online. Even their items are mostly sold from China and India
I'm not going to buy from Amazon anymore. Etsy is better and reliable I've never had a problem with them.
Amazon should be boycotted.
Would help a lot if you delivered by canada post instead small businesses that have a huge rotation of employees and never know where we are located because we have a difficult address to find out, those companies choose the worst of the worst employees from agencies that pay peanuts to this cheap labour. This is what we get from prime, as they don't want to use canada post at all. We'll encourage somebody else, you don't seem to understand anything. We can find your stuff virtually everywhere anyways, wal-mart style cheap crap from china... nothing else to add.
Answer: Don't believe their delivery guarantee. They are late 4/10 times and are unremorseful for it
Answer: Very tough! No longer usable fir me, a Top 1000 and Vines Reviewer.
Answer: If you need customer service good luck it's not existing
Answer: I've never had to pay duty on anything from Amazon.ca, even if it was shipped from another country.
Answer: If Amazon is going to use a third party courier service, (such as Intelcom), cancel your order and shop elsewhere.
Answer: Happened to me. Just another sneaky way that Amazon operates. Welcome to the club.
Amazon CA has a rating of 1.4 stars from 626 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Amazon CA most frequently mention customer service, credit card and delivery date. Amazon CA ranks 190th among DVD sites.
