I've often found what I'm looking for at the Alibris website. The price of the book I just ordered was acceptable for a "well-used" mass market paperback. However... shipping was atrocious. The order was sent to a city a few hundred miles from our home. Then was shipped from there to another distribution center more than a 1000 miles away. USPS. So is it on them or Alibris? The book took more than two weeks to arrive. That's pathetic. Then, yes, it was well used: stained with drops of something I was able to wipe off with a damp rag, and showing obvious water damage. So, "well-used" but readable. Hope I get a better show from Alibris next time.

Happy to find this book -- but there was some weird dynamic pricing going on, which makes me very skeptical about whether I'd want to buy from this site again.

Alibris had the best prices on the used books I was looking for, and the shopping experience was easy. Will be here again to shop for my books next semester.

I had been looking for this particular book. I was delighted that it was in great condition, as the price was extremely low. The big surprise was that the book turned out to have been signed by the author!

I ordered a older book. It was a reasonable price and arrived more quickly than I expect4ed and in excellent condition, as promised. I'm a happy customer.

Quick and so easy. I received a notification from Rakuten that I could purchase the book I wanted on a different site than Amazon, for less! I discovered an entirely new buying experience. I will use this site again!

One book was not as described. Instead of "fine (meaning used but with no underlining, highlighting, notes, etc.") it had all of the aforementioned. I received all of the books on time, plus one ("the lost girls of willowbrook [sic]") that I did not order.

Ordered a paperback writing guide published in the 80s. Other than very slight yellowing of the pages, it looked brand new. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality and condition.

Average quality cotton shirt. Good base-color selection. Very good picture/design/details quality. Praying it lasts a long time

This was the first time I ordered from Alibris. My book arrived much quicker than expected, price was great and quality of the book was perfect!

It's more complicated than when I first discovered alibris and ordered Sailor Dog for my 7-year old!. (She's now 64! And named her boat Sailor Dog)

The prices and shipping a reasonable, but it should be easier to check out without all kinds of passwords and complete foolishness such as that!

I ordered 3 books. All came at varied but slow intervals - so slow I almost forgot I had ordered them. Almost. But one was for a book club with a deadline. That order was cancelled because it had apparently been sold? But instead of just sending me another used book, I had to completely reorder and the process began all over again. Like I would have noticed a difference had they simply substituted. Will give them another chance - it's not like I'm so perfect. Oh. Maybe two.

Alibris is my one of my favorite websites. One reason is this: Several years ago, I found four paperback books written by a woman I knew who had recently died. They were I found them on Alibris! They are Gothic mysteries. I purchased them, read them and was not disappointed at all, one bit, or anything related to that word. I am so glad I found them there, I probably looked at several other websites/bookstores t at the time, this was in 2016 or 2017 perhaps. It was as if I was listening to her, or something like that. I could imagine her as the heroine if I tried, but I don't think I was distracted by doing that and if so, it was a very minor component of the experience. Her characters were great and strong on their own. A second reason I like Alibris so much is that a few years later, I chose to sell my own book online at Alibris and only Alibris. I sold dozens of them in this manner.

It took a long time to ship. And when I emailed asking about the status the customer service rep lied and said the package had shipped. I got the shipping confirmation about a week later.

I neglected to check the actual shipping origin as the location of the seller was shown in the main listing as 15 minutes from my home in Illinois. However, it is an international shipper which would have explained why no tracking information was available for a week after I received a shipping notification. I was irritated and attempted to cancel and received feedback from the seller pointing out the actual shipping origin listed in the details of the product in the secondary listing. Seems a bit lacking in transparency as I would have been much more patient had the seller's origin in the main listing reflected this fact. Nevertheless, it was a satisfying purchase. The book was in brand new condition and nicely priced. I recommend the seller.

We have had 2 problems with orders placed from "Thrift Books" in the last couple of months. Other than that everything has been fine.

Been a customer for over a decade. Always satisfied!

Slightly surprised that Alibris offers less expensive used copies of this book than Bookfinder - evil influence of Amazon / Bezos? But I carried on with vender identified via Bookfinder and bought another book in an area of interest.
