Having been dissatisfied with some of Amazon's shipping practices, I called Bookshop Santa Cruz hoping they would have a copy of the Duke Ellington biography I wanted to read. Bookshop no longer had copies of what I was looking for. Their staff member recommended Alibris. When I went to your website, I not only found a copy for sale, but the price was more than reasonable. Receiving delivery of the book was a slow -- and uncertain -- process. I feared that it would be delivered when we would be away from home, making holiday family visits. Alibris's tracking was difficult for me, though I must admit to being inept when it comes to completing even the simplest digital tasks. I wished, in vane, for an 800-number to call with a live attendant who could track the shipment. This narrative has a happy ending: the Ellington bio arrived at our front door two days before our departure.

Your site is easy to navigate in and very clearly displayed. The composition is attractive and the pricing is intelligently presented.

For over ten days the order or most of it from ALIBRIS central remained pending. Also one one of the books involved was the wrong title or the wrong part. Going back, the actual blurb for it seems to be 'confused'. It has already been returned.

ALIBRIS is honestly one of the few places from which I will purchase used books online. The variety is unmatched and I always trust that the products will arrive quickly.

I found old books that are no longer in print or not on current book lists but still worth reading. Alibris is my one stop shop that can deliver just the book I'm looking for.

I ordered the book as brand new and that's what I received. Shipping took a bit longer than I expected but overall price was good and happy to have gotten the book new and at a good price.

It was quick and easy even though this is the first time that I've used alibris. Please keep it that way. I'm here because the "other guys" have made the process too complicated. They want too much information or they get information wrong and it's difficult to get the error corrected.

On December 9 I ordered a book for my wife for Christmas. Over a week later, I emailed to check whether it had shipped, as I hadn't received the promised email giving me tracking information. I got an email back telling me the order had indeed shipped on the day I ordered it, but no tracking number had been generated. This was the source of some anxiety, as Christmas approached. Sometime later that day I got an email telling me the order had just shipped and giving me a tracking number. Irritated, I emailed back and asked to cancel the order. But I was told it was too late, as the tracking number had been generated. This despite the fact that when I checked the status, it was awaiting pickup. And I'd been lied to.
In the end, the book arrived the day before we were set to travel for Christmas, December 22. So it worked out, sort of, but would you, dear reader, order from a company like that?

I ordered a book on this site. I received information that might order was confirmed and even that the book was shipped. Then I received a cancellation notice but there was an option to find a replacement copy. I clicked on it and found a replacement copy It was a few more dollars, but I didn't mind. Unfortunately I had to put in all the information again and it's not my address, so it meant going back to my address book in my phone copying and pasting and doing it all over again. I then received a notification of confirmation and even an email saying my item had been shipped. I then received another cancellation notification. I then went back to the website and was able to find another copy of the book I was looking for, but this version was $30 more. I paid for it and now I just hope I get it! I will never order from this website again. Getting an email confirmation and then even in shipping email and then getting a cancellation email twice is unforgivable!

This was a very easy transaction. The book I wanted was in stock at a very reasonalbe price and in an acceptable condition. The ordering process was uncomplicated and painless to navigate. Good work, Alibris!

Not easy to find and get coupon codes. Especially because I'm a loyal buyer from this site they should make the code's easier to get thank you

As expected, Alibris' login/selection/checkout sequence rivals, if not surpasses, the best of the current platforms anywhere on the web!

The book I got is out of publication and many copies have been destroyed. Nonetheless, I was able to get a copy from Alibris. There was a personal note from one of the authors as well as her signature twice (once was her first name after the note and then below were her full name and year of publication. I was not expecting those, but I do believe that adds additional value to this book.

Placed the order -- I think -- on Christmas Eve. It wasn't a Christmas gift. I appreciate that it got to me so quickly given how close we were to the actual holiday.

Very hard to find Spanish novels translated into English. I thought I had 2 books in English and found out at the last minute they were written in Spanish.

Always satisfied in finding a great book in great condition at a great price. I have never been disappointed in the shopping experience.
