Alibris

I could not get it into my cart on Chrome browser yesterday. I sent three requests for help, one was refused. The other two were answered this morning. One suggested using a different browser. The other was more complicated.

Great selection of such a wide variety of books and movies that are not readily available local.
I was a bit skeptical about receiving it from thrift store but, book was in great shape! I was ok with shipping cost since the books I got were under $5.00. Will be looking for more purchases in the near future.

This was my first experience with Alibris. The prices are awesome! It took a little longer to get my books than what I'm used to with other places. I am willing to make that trade off for the price and the books were brand new. Great first experience, will definitely buy again!

I have begun buying books from Alibris more frequently recently. I find the prices and selection excellent and, even if I pay a little more for some things (including shipping) on Alibris, I am willing to do it to avoid any company owned by Amazon.

Alibris was wonderful dealing with the many difficulties of working through the acknowledged worst Post Office inthe USA. The P.O. Eventually lost my first package and it was necessary to reorder and try again. Aiibris kept up with all the transitions, informing me of each. They were a joy to work with.

The book is really exceptional and is exactly what I needed, especially for my students and for me. Considering where it comes from, it arrived in the expected time. And that's why I regularly buy books from you and that's why I bought three more books that I expect to arrive just as quickly. And I will continue to do so because I am satisfied with how you are doing.

It took over a month from the time I ordered the book for it to show up in my mailbox. For some uncertain reason, it went from the UK to Canada via the USA. I don't understand this routing, and think it could have been more efficient, not to mention cost-effective, if it had come directly to Canada. Having said that, I'm glad to get the book, no matter that it took a month, as this book isn't published in North America. Considering that it's book 9 of a very popular series, I don't understand why the publisher refuses to release it over here. It's bigger in dimension than my other mass market paperbacks, and smaller than the hardback and paperback editions, so it doesn't match the other 8 that I have. But as beggars can't be choosers, I thank you for the book, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it very much.

Honestly, that's the most annoying part. Why can't I just rate this five stars and move on with my life? Everything was fine with the order. No complaints. But coercing a review out of someone is unlikely to yield good results.

I bought 2 used books which said "good condition" They were in great condition. It takes a little longer than an amazon delivery, but well worth it. Great prices and as a community we need to reuse more often!

This is the place to go for all your book shopping that can't be found in your local independent bookshop. Bookshop Santa Cruz recommended your site for an out of print book and now I'm a shopper for my out of print books. Thank you, Carol

I like buying used books to reduce waste and generally my experience through ALIBRIS is good. For the first time, I received a Very Good book in slightly less than VG shape. The book was covered with something sticky. Looked like someone may have gotten some food or other gooey matter on the book while packaging it. Luckily, I was able to clean it off as I didn't want to deal with Return shipping.

I was looking for a book on a fairly niche subject and I found it at Alibris for the best price. It is in great condition. There were helpful reviews, too. The shipping took a tiny bit longer than expected, but it was worth the wait.

I love your site… everything I look for I find and for the most part it is at a reasonable price and I receive it within a decent time of ordering. I am grateful I can find even old school books on your site which keep me grounded and rooted in my spirituality! Thank you for making my experience a good one!

All in good order. I'm unsure why I'm being asked for this, even requiring me to submit 100 words! I ordered books. You fulfilled my order. Why must I submit a statement that you did your work as expected? If I had questions that you wouldn't fulfill expectations, I wouldn't have placed an order. If I have to complete one of these ridiculous reports of my experience every time I order something from Alibis, I'll find another source for my books. Thinking of 100 words to fulfill your requirements takes minutes away from my valuable time. Surely, there are enough words here. Thanks.

I got all the books eventually. When ordering 8 books, there was a lot of thought put into placing the order with as many books from one location as possible. Ultimately, 4 of them came individually from different locations than the one I ordered from. Also because one came from a half priced books right up the street - of which I looked for these books at and they said they didn't have any of them. Not an bad outcome, just an annoying and perhaps unnecessary process that didn't align with what was shown in-stock.
