The only thing that stopped me from buying more is the shipping costs. At one point I had a $30 order in my cart with $50+ shipping. It's not worth it to me if shipping costs more than the product itself.

I love Alibris. The descriptions of the book are precise, reliable and accurate, and you can immediately find the best offering from among the many sellers on the sight. It is fast and easy to use. I think this site is a treasure for anyyone who appreciates books.

I stumbled on Albris when looking for Mothers Day cards for daughter in laws. I was pleased with what I found. I purchased 2 other styles, a few of each. I like tat the sentiment inside is clear and simple. Which is what I prefer over wordy sentiments

I ordered a few recently published books. They arrived on time and well-packaged. The only thing that would make my Alibris experience even better is if I could set up pre-orders or wishlist books that are releasing soon.

So far, so good. Why do I have to type 50 characters?! You're pissing me off. You asked me to "please type a quick message about your shopping experience so far". So far all I did was place an order; so far all I know is that you may or may not $#*! it up. Stop the 50 characters bull$#*!!

It appears a refund was issued a day or two ago because we all thought it was lost; however, even though the book dealer said the refund would still be valid even if it arrived at a later date, I thought you should know it arrived last night. I cannot tell a lie. :)

After waiting for a purchase for several days I was notified of "book no longer available"
And switched to a more expensive book of same title. Why did you accept my order if you were going to "Bait-and-Switch" my order? I should have been charged the first price and been sent the next available book. Not my fault that your inventory of advertised books is not accurate after I made my order & payment

I had trouble with some of the buttons. I had to choose "Add to Shopping Cart" twice on two of my selections before they appeared in my cart. Paypal had some issues with only the shipping amount showing up at first.
Has me wondering if it's just me! Ha!

I missed the exhibit at the British Museum on the "Silk Roads" but learned that the exhibit had a companion guidebook. The Museum itself had sold out. I hunted online and found a copy at Alibris - ordered it and it arrived in perfect condition- in fact better than I had hoped for. I've used Alibris for decades - it's gone through changes of ownership but remains a solid place to find hard-to-find tomes.

Was able to easily find what I was looking for and checked out without an issue. My book arrived nicely packaged and was free if damage, and it took under a week to arrive.

Good. I like the confirmation email inquiry because this book was sent to a family member. And while I get notified the book was delivered -- it does not necessarily mean it was delivered to the right place. (I am not sure if an earlier book I sent to a different family member was ever received by him... even though I did get a notification that the book was delivered. Oh, well.) Sorry for the delay. I was away. And it also took some time for this family member to confirm she got the book. Yes, I enjoy buying books through Alibris. Thank you.

I am new to this site but read the reviews so decided to give it a try. Glad I did! The price was great, the shipping was fast, the CD played perfectly and the case and sleeve all in great condition. Excellent experience on my first try.

I needed 8 copies of Shakespeare's "A Comedy Errors." The "No Fear Shakespeare editions. I had to order from 8 different vendors, therefore the shipping was significantly more than the books. Is there a way to avoid all the extra expense of having to use 8 vendors?

Alibris has been my "go to" place for online shopping of books for many years now, and I've always been extremely pleased with the site (ease of use), selection of books (especially in terms of price and condition), and reliability. Thank you!

Wide selection and pricing is very good, but packaging leaves a little to be desired. Books have too much space to shift around and no packing material to keep them in place so they may arrive a bit dinged up.

In the last three months about 60 percent of the books and videos I received were very, very inaccurately described. 75 percent of the dvds were placed on a listing for a set of four dvds, l only received one dvd from the set. Most of the books I received this winter that were listed as good or very good were torn, warped and falling apart. Some had food and other unknown things smeared on the covers and inside the books. And last week I received a book of KenKen puzzles that was completely filled in. All the puzzles were completed—basically somebody mailed me something they should have tossed in the trash.
