I had to order this book twice because the first seller, GreatBookPrices, messed failed to ship the book. Here is what happened. After a week where no tracking number was provided I contacted the seller. They explained the book had not been shipped. That made no sense. The Alibris site said the book had been shipped. The seller also said that they ship books within a week. Alibris requires that shippers send out books within 2 days. So the seller was not following the rules of selling through Alibris.
The contradictions from the seller mounted. Different customer service representatives had different excuses. Eventually a customer service just canceled the order. At least they did refund the cost.
But refunding the monetary cost does not refund the cost of time wasted.
I reached out to Alibris customer service. They responded with the information that the GreatBooks provided which was that the book was shipped. That put Alibris in a bad position since the seller provided false information to Alibris. Allbris customer service reached out to me agains after I posted this review, helped me see that they did respond to my original request for help and said they would contact GreatBooksPrices about the misinformation and failure to fulfill the original order.
Most purchases through Alibris are smooth. The books received are usually in excellent condition. I will take this ultimately to represent a failure on the part of the seller and will be wary to buy from them again.
I prefer Alibris over the other platform. Both provide access to hundreds if not thousands of used book sellers. Prices are good. All in all a good way to buy used books.

Ordering and receiving the book was fine. This email asking if I'd recieved it was a hassle. It simply showed your order number - NOT what the item actually was requiring me to look back in my records ( I order a lot of books I remember titles not vendors order numbers. Next time I won't respond as it took too much time with out useful information you could hav e provided.
I recently ordered a DVD of Amadeus. The DVD that I received was year 2009 version and it clearly states on the back cover: "Alternate Music Only Track Showcase...". This means that the DVD audio is only the score from the movie. There is no dialog. WTF? That info is not made clear in the Item Details. I want a version that has both dialog and music. The copy I put on hold says it's dated 1984, when the original movie came out. So I sent an email to HPB Dallas asking if it has full audio or only the music. The problem, compounding my issue - is that I have to wait 2 days to hear back from them about my desired info. Bur you only hold my order for 12 hours. So I can wait and possibly lose my purchase. Good website, but to send to UK it is estimated to take 21 - 31 days for shipping. This is a LOT longer than receiving goods from other Companies. Perhaps this should be looked into
I ordered the first home alone book and was very pleased at the low price and state of the book. It was a used book so there is always the risk it wasn't I very good condition, but this book was in excellent condition which was really surprising to me! The only thing I didn't live is that it took a little while to arrive but not too long. I would definitely shop here again!

I was able to get 2 complete dvd collections for nostalgia cartoons. I am very pleased and I hope I have no shipping problems with them.
