I received damaged merchandise. Affirm said they would research and contact the merchant. They said give them 30 days. They said I was not responsible for any payments until their review was complete. They lied. Within 1 week, they contacted a collection agency. BUYER BEWARE. SCAMMERS. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE
I have a line of credit of over $8,000.00 They keep raising that but never lowering my interest rate. Payment always on time and i always paid off way early. Do better!
Think getting married and changing your information to match your identity and credit information an easy task? THINK AGAIN!
Be prepared for the royal run around, lying, being talked in circles an down right breaks in process to get anything done. Thank goodness my request is for a lovely reason of becoming married, because had it been due to divorce, this process would be a complete disaster and almost heartbreaking. The "process" doesn't work to get them information to verify who you are, so much so where it has taken me over 3 months and i still Can't use my affirm account due to them "not being able to verify my identity". This is especially hurtful because i think its discriminatory to do this. And there is no issue with my account. I have used Affirm in a way where i have an excellent account and payment history. I have never had issues being qualified for credit in the 6 loans I've had ad paid off according to my account terms. Now because I'm doing the right thing and disclosing my identity information changing to all my creditors, this process has been less than blissful. Now i cant use my account until they fix this, and there isn't anyone who can tell me what will rectify this. It's almost like they are doing this to deliberately remove me the opportunity to borrow with Affirm. Is it because I'm black? Or a woman? I'm literally not understanding any other reason why this has been so difficult.
Customer service is non-existent. They deal with all problems by listing instructions at their site referring you to the seller, no matter what the problem is. Once I finally broke through their wall of silence, filed a complaint that they were getting ready to auto-debit me for an item I had yet to receive and the seller was non-responsive as to the delay. That opened a ticket #. Received a response telling me to either deal with the seller or provide them with a mountain of documentation, with a space for me to reply and attach documents. But, at the same time, they automatically closed the ticket. I did reply with the little I had, but it's hard to prove that the seller never shipped and the seller is non-responsive and will not supply any info at all on shipping. But, Affirm doesn't care about that. They are going ahead and billing me anyway. I can't instruct my bank not to pay the debits because Affirm will then simply report non-payments to Experian credit bureau. So, I am stuck with Affirm demanding non-existent documents and, at the same time, informing me it's not their problem, it's solely between me and the seller (Touch of Modern - another nightmare company). Between the 2 of them, they have quite a racket going. Affirm refuses to deal with the issue, pawning me off on the seller and the seller ignores any and all requests and inquiries. So, I'm on the hook for $1400 and, at the moment, my only recourse is to put a stop payment with my bank on the Affirm charges, thus destroying my credit.
This is definitely a bottom of the barrel, predatory scum lender.
I have fair credit 650+ and a perfect payment history for the past 7 years other than a couple of hospital bills and this affirm joke of a company denies my application without anything but my phone number, not even my name or social so it has to be some type of scam, and after reading their site reviews I'm not surprised, needless to say I just used my credit card that I have a perfect record with I just thought at first I would give them a shot but am feeling much better now that I did not.
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE...THE APP IS CRAP AND THE SO CALLED SUPERVISORS ARE INEPT. SOMETHING AS A PHONE NUMBER CHANGE WIL LOCK YOU OUT AND YOU WONT BE ABLE TO GET IN FOR DAYS...PLUS IF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THE REPS FROM THE SCAM CAPITAL OF THE WORLD (INDIA) GOOD LUCK! NEVER USING THEM AGAIN!
Have no complaints about using them. Process straightforward. I actually have about 7 different "loans" going. But...recently made a payment about 3 days before due. I didn't look closely to see that my last payment the following month would only be 78 cents. Not wanting to wait but to just get it over with, tried to schedule a 78 cent payment. A message popped up saying that there was a $1 minimum. So, having a few days cushion, sent them a message that I wanted to cancel the payment I made so I could then schedule the entire balance. The message back suggested I should have heard back by now; I have not. So next month I'll have to pay them $1 to retire the loan which will cancel the interest credit I had received by rounding up the amount each month and/or making payments a few days early. Am constantly bombarded daily with "deals", "offers," "sales", etc. Once I pay everything off, will likely not use them again and will block them from emails and/or tag their messages as what they are...junk!
A few years ago i had used AFFIRM with absolutely no problems. They were great for people that were rebuilding their credit, had no credit or just didn't have enough money to do thing like put new tires on your car. I literally had taken out 7 loans with them, paid them all off early and was excited about rebuilding my credit after a divorce and a bankruptcy. Then somewhere along the line something changed and they started using a different bank then all of a sudden after I in good faith paid off my last loan to them, they denied me. I was shocked. I had a great history with them but at the end of the day that didn't matter. Three years later and they still deny me. I even wrote a letter to their CEO and I doubt he ever saw it, I got some stupid response back basically thanking me for contacting them but that could not change the decision. So much for loyalty and keeping good customers. All I got rewarded with for my loyalty and for paying my bills on time was swift kick in the hind end and a nasty goodbye.
These people are frauds they won't refund money and when u need to make changes on YOUR ACCOUNT. They waste time going thru a million things than saying u have to send in an ID. Hoe blut I won't pay than! Get it together and quit screwing withbpeoples time and money.
Used Affirm in the past for 4 previous purchases from Amazon as Amazon has Affirm as one of their payment options. Decided to use them again and realized that they are now charging huge interest that is double my credit card interest rate. It's a bit of a scam as it appears they are now running a credit check which is not what they advertise on Amazon and on top of that, they actually don't even report your payments to the credit bureau. I've seen other comments they only report if you don't pay. Now I have paid off all my previous loans early and when I saw my recent purchase was also going to have interest I cancelled my order immediately with Amazon. You get 2 emails now, one confirming your loan is approved and now a second one saying they checked the credit bureau and now charging interest. With a credit score of almost 800…I laughed at their email stating "based on your information from credit union xxxxx, your loan is approved with 20+% interest". Makes no sense and is a complete scam. Amazon should be monitoring this as a key Amazon partner, so I'm now buying a lot less from Amazon and physically just go to the original brick and mortar type stores as I'm not giving my money to a company that allows a huge misleading payment option.
I've used to from several times and I had no problems until I had to return a product that I bought on Amazon for over two years now they keep sending me emails about a product that I do not owe money on. I return the product and they still don't get it even if I send them documentation I really wish somebody would get on the ball and correct the records now they have a credit or after me for a measly amount of money because the product wasn't that expensive
Affirm is actually Celtic bank, according to the FDIC. You will find out the hard way, if you make a return or if you get ripped off, Affirm will not have your back and you will end up paying on a product you didn't receive or that you returned. Even if you do get a refund, it will be minus the interest and fees, which are significant. We purchased an airline ticket from Justfly (never use that company either), and cancelled it. Justfly charged me $75 to cancel the flight, so one would assume it was cancelled. NOT. They took the cancellation money, then they went ahead and processed the Affirm "loan" several days later. We have proof it was cancelled prior to the loan being finalized, we have proof they took a cancellation fee. Affirm literally processed a loan for a cancelled reservation, which is probably illegal, and refuses to reverse it. Of course, these criminals own the politicians that keep them out of jail, where they clearly belong. I have uploaded their response to the proof I sent them. Also, keep in mind that arbitration agreements do not prevent you from suing them in small claims court, where I will also get my court costs reimbursed.
I would of given them a 5 star but Affirm is really wrong I wanted to pay off a disputed purchase I thought was straightened out the lady told me the dispute would be released and I would be able to pay it off in 3 to 5 business days. 2 weeks passed and the disputed bill became due well on the due date it was asking for money but when I requested to pay they told me I couldn't then the day after said I was delinquent when I requested to have to love ACTIVATED SO I COULD PAY IT OFF THEN MADE IT LOOK LIKE I WAS PAYING LATE WHEN I WAS NOT I BEEN TALKED TO 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE JUST TO BE LIED TO ABOUT AND ESCALATION TO GET IT RESOLVED PAID AND CLOSED OUT. I TAKE IT THEY FELT LIKE THE MERCHANT WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LYING TO ME, SHE TOLD ME THE FIRST TRANSACTION WAS DELCLINED. IM VERY UPSET CAUSE I CANT TALK TO THE PEOPLE WHO TAKE CARE OF THIS I KEEP GETTING RAN IN A CIRCLE WHEN I ASK TO SPEAK TO THE PEOPLE WHO DEAL WITH ESCALATIONS AND REACTIVATION OF AND ACCOUNT. ITS A COOL COMPANY BUT FOR THIS REASON I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THEM. IF YOU GOT DISCOVER OR VISA STICK WITH THEM. CAUSE IT WILL NOT MAKE YOU LOOK BAD AND THEY HANDLE THESE THINGS IMMEDIATELY ESPECIALLY IF YOURE TRYING TO PAY ONE LADY SNICKERED AT ME WHEN SHE SAID SHE WAS SORRY SHE COULDNT HELP. WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD AND I HAVE BEEN LOYAL AND PAY ON TIME.
I have been an Amazon registered customer for years, and I have never had any problems returning my purchase for a full refund. I decided to give it a try to "Affirm", right before I checked out to pay for the item I was buying, and I wish I didn't. I end up returning the item I purchased, since I received a toy watch instead of a $224.78 dollars series (4) 40mm gold iwatch I purchased. Well, Affirm sent me a bill for $29 dollars, so when I called their customer service and told them, that I returned the item they were charging me for, they said they didn't receive a full refund from Amazon. I found that very hard to believe, so I called Amazon customer service and found out that it was a total lie! So Affirm scammed me out of $29 dollars. Stay the heck away from those SCAMMERS!
Affirm is doign business with a known scam company (Ticketfaster) who tried to get me to confirm tickets for the wrong venue and date which I did not accept when propted to by an email from Ticketfaster. Upon calling Tickefaster to let them know that it was the wrong date and venue, they didnt care, wanted me to accept anyway and "figure it out" later. I didn't pay affirm and opened two (2) tickets with them to no avail. They still sent me to collections. Rip OFF Scamming company. Any ideas how to get this off my credit report?
I have used affirm for many loans and paid off early but they won't give better rates, I have good credit but that doesn't matter, don't use them they are just out to make money
Do NOT submit an application. This company is a scam. They take payment before you make a purchase but aren't explicit with their language. You are making a payment, not putting your card on file like you would Katapult, Klarna, or Afterpay. Their customer service is a call center overseas and they're USELESS. The fact that I had to get their customer service number off another site and it wasn't on theirs should tell you that they don't want customers contacting them, and it's bad practice. If you have to tell a customer that it was in the terms of service, you're dishonest. I should not have to sort through that when I haven't even committed to a loan.
Affirmed charged off a balance for jewelry that I returned to Tres Colori Jewelry. They insisted I owed them the balance even if I returned the merchandise.
A company who are not sincere in helping their customers. The dispute I initiated with them July 20,2023, to get back the money they finance to stockstotrade. I printed all my communications with their customer care, containing promises and assurance of their help in getting back the money so I will not be paying a loan I did not use. After 2 months nothing happened, that they do not have the tool to help their customers is a website scammed their money. I can see they are in connivance with stockstotrade. They really will not like to get back the money from stockstotrade as they want to collect the money and interest from me. What really add more to this bad experience with this affirm is why did they not tell me from day1 that they cannot help me get back the money. I never used the website of stockstotrade, I deactivated their website in all my devices and unsubscribe from their emails.
We canceled a trip and VRBO refunded them the entire amount of $2800 they still owe us $810 worst service ever. Still no money! 2 months later have called many times all so rude
Answer: On paper legit, sort of, but really a scam. They aren't even who you are financing with.
Answer: I had heard of the company because a friend actually knows the owner. Very sorry I did worst experience I have ever had.
Answer: It's not. They now also are charging large interest amounts. Don't use them.
Answer: Follow Walmart's lead... don't use them! Affirm makes everything complicated.
