BEWARE...
April 22, 2022

I have had 8 loans with affirm and everything went according to plan until they OWE YOU MONEY! I have never even let my pay date or loan agreement date to pay off property not even get close to the time frame since I ALWAYS pay before my payment date and pay off my loan before the expected time limit. But when they owed me money, to this day, I still haven't received it! I made an ATTORNEYS GENERAL online COMPLAINT and a BETTER BUSINESS BEAU COMPLAINT and affirm has not responded back to ither of them or paid me the money they OWE ME. I guess paying off loans before hand can be bitter sweet because I paid one of my loans off early and than one of the items I purchased was broke, so I had to contact the merchant and than send it to their warehouse. And after the merchant's warehouse received their property, they were trying to send the refund back to affirm and affirm was rejecting it for some reason. So it turned into a dispute on affirms end, and all a dispute is when it comes to affirm, is affirm sitting on their tails not doing a daggon thing until the regulated time frame is that they have to respond by. I already had figured out what the problem was and it was affirm was rejecting walmarts refund. Than after all these weeks close to a month or more, with all my blood, sweat, and tears, trying to get my money back calling the merchant calling affirm and getting absolutely no where, finally I recieved an email from affirm talking about they recieved the refund from the merchant and they applied it to my loan that I ALREADY DONE PAID OFF! How in the world can they get away with that?! So now I'm at square 1 all over again on hold as I'm typing trying to get my money back! They have been keeping my money hostage and seem incompetent in handling this situation with returning MY MONEY BACK TO ME! I'm completely discusteded and outraged that this can even be legal!

Terrible service, fingerhut is a better place to start. Terrible customer service.
January 24, 2022

I've tried various loan companies, to start building my credit. Tried Affirm, got denied, which I thought was possible. But, the customer service, trying to get a human on the phone, and one that knows anything more than the computer already told me, is impossible. I've wasted more time, just trying to delete my account here, than its worth.
This may be a halfway decent place to use for emergencies. But, they don't report regularly to any credit burrows, just when you have a late payment, and can't get an extension. But, I'm sure when you call to ask for an extension, you'll just get the computer telling you it didn't understand d what you said, tell you to wait, they are getting a customer care representative, the get disconnected after 15 minutes of aggrevation. I'd stay away from this place. Only reason I tried, is that Mint Mobile offered it when I was looking for a cheaper cell provider. That's another nightmare and rip off.
I mean the whole cell phone prepaid/contract thing...
Prepaid, you'll pay higher for, get less service for the cost. Every contract I've signed, over the last 15 years, has ended terrible. From all 3 major carriers.
All Is good for about 6 months, then, the double billing starts, with no explanation, and none of the cust. Serv. Reps could explain it.
All they say is, your paying for this month we are in, and next month... ok, but I'm on a premium plan, with good credit rating... so I go ahead and pay the double... next month, same thing happens. Call them, and no body can understand my problem.
If I'm paying for this month we are in, and next month... then next month, I'm paying for that month and the following month again, that's 4 months I've paid for. Why can't anyone, including managers, and after hours n hours on the phone, at the store, in person, and everywhere..., nobody can see how that is wrong. They just can't explain it.
All I get from them is that I'm in a contract, and will pay a penalty for ending it early.
Seems like it's all planned from the beginning.
No doubt about it.
And, until everyone starts standing up, doing something about it, they get away with anything.
That's fraud, and with telecommunications, why don't the FCC get involved.
It's time for everyone to start taking action against all the people.
I don't mean storm the capital or anything violent, or illegal.
I mean making it known, force the news to cover it, make someone accountable.
Until then, the small, average, middle income, and low income people will suffer.
I'm not political, hate being out front of anything, and just want to live my life, peacefully.
But, something has to change.
This country is sick...
And it's getting worse.
What do we do.
None of the politicians care, or they get forced into looking the other way, because campaign money comes in from there big companies.
There has to be a change, or what we are proud of, being free, living in the USA,, this will all be gone.
It's already starting.
Average, good, proud Americans, are starting to wake up, and hate this country. And for good reason.
Sorry to turn a simple review, into a rant.
It's just getting old, all going to hell, and I hate to see it happen.
I'm proud to be American, my family fought for this country, for our freedom.
But, things are changing, very fast, and most don't see it happening, or know what to do about it.
Let's think of something people, somehow, save this great country...
Sorry for the long review, and getting off topic, but it's all the same old stuff. If your not rich, or well off, you get screwed, by everyone.
Just think about it. And try to help, in any way possible...!

Tip for consumers:

Stay away, if possible.
If you get approved, make sure to pay it a few days early, or it might get " it didn't post on time ", and an extra fee.

Hours of lies and stolen money
November 23, 2021

This is hands down the worst customer service I have ever received. I got to the hotel on Thursday after already making payments to Affirm and the payment won't go through (it's saved in the hotel's system as a credit card with Affirm under the name). I call Affirm to figure out what's happening, and they say that they can't help me, Priceline is who handles the money payment to hotels (note that during this time the agent for Affirm could not pull up my account and said his system was running slow). I call Priceline, who says they can't handle it, it should be Affirm, but maybe try Booking.com if Affirm is saying they can't help. So I try Booking.com and they also confirm that Affirm is the only one who can help with payment. I call back Affirm and they continue to say they can't help, until I'm finally able to speak to a supervisor while conferencing with Priceline (probably the only reason they finally revealed the truth) who says oh yes they are the ones who can help but their entire system is down, they have no ETA on a fix, and I'll have to wait around for 2 maybe 3 hours. At this point I had already been in the hotel lobby for 2 hours and just needed somewhere to sleep so I paid the hotel out of pocket, they said that if Affirm could get the payment through by the time I checked out then I would get a refund and it would be fine. It was not fine, Affirm never paid the hotel, so I paid Affirm and the hotel for this room.
When I get back from my trip, I call the hotel and confirm that the charges on my card will not be reversed as Affirm still has not paid the hotel. I call Affirm to ask for a refund for the amount that I paid, when they were supposed to pay, and again they tell me that they can't handle payment, it all goes through Priceline. I call him on his lie and say that I already know that isn't true, I've already spoken to every party and someone from Affirm has already admitted that only Affirm can handle payment information. I ask him to put Priceline on the phone so we can all speak together to clarify exactly what needs to happen, because Affirm already put me through phone tag for hours the week before and I wasn't willing to go through that again. The supervisor (Scott) said he didn't have time to do that and I needed to handle this myself with Priceline because they wouldn't give me my money until Priceline gave them theirs (again, Priceline had nothing to do with the payment, they did not take money nor did they have the ability to process it).
I do end up having to talk to Priceline after Affirm continues to refuse to help me and am having it escalated with them. But at this point Affirm has stolen my money and lied to me, wasting hours of my time and stranding me in a hotel lobby without any care for their fault in the issue.

Tip for consumers:

Just don't, I ended up paying for my trip out of pocket after already making payments for Affirm rendering their services absolutely useless and now they're lying to me so they can steal my money instead of refunding me for services they did not provide.

Nice company, but profile about leases and approvals!
August 10, 2021

I am kind of disappointed in Affirm, although I love using this platform and have bought many items using them as a purchase option and I missed a few payments, but paid in the same month they are very unstable on giving other tries, sometimes the loan is approved, and then sometimes you get an email stating because of your payment history with Affirm we can't approve you. Yet there is some they will approve you for and then decide not to on others. Well I will say again I missed (3) payments and paid them off in the same month they were due -- My mother had a stroke and I had other priorities to pay off then just keep up with this payments. They will not make payment arrangements with you, and if you miss any payment they will not let that go and hold it against you for the time amount of the account is active. Affirm could work on being more accepting and understanding that people do go though hardships and work with you more. The partner banks they tend to use for decisions also could have a heart that things do happen and even look at the future not the past. So Affirm is a good payment platform but be careful to not miss a payment or you would be more branded for life as to speak because they don't seem to care for anything other than that mega buck.

I love Affirm, but don't miss any payments for any reason. My mom had a stroke, left her partially paralyzed from it and I missed a few payments but made them up in the same month. Affirm now sends a letter of denial stating they can't approve due to payment history. Affirm and Cross River Bank are very disappointing in this as I have current open orders paid on time or early. But because of my mother's health they won't removed the missed payment negative tradeline which is very cold due to circumstances. I have contacted both CRB and Affirm with personal letters and not even a letter back or any concern whatsoever, I guess it's all about the money. I will never give Affirm (5) stars due to this problem but if you have almost perfect credit or you don't miss a payment for anything than Affirm would be great for you. I do like using them but it seems to be a cat and mouse game for approval and preapproval most times ends up in "denied" I think some companies need to have more heart and consideration when something you can't control as to family and health issues to a few missed payments and not remove a negative tradeline for this than something is seriously wrong to the point of sadness and greed.
