These people are scam artists... period! So I applied on a website that uses Affirm (should have named it A Squirm!) and I was approved. I chose my re-payment schedule, 3 months, clicked the next button and I see a congratulations and welcome to Asquirm so I put the money required down as part of the process. Now they have my money. I then receive an email telling me the loan could not be approved. If you were not going to approve me then why did you not tell me before you took my money? Now, I see another email that says you're approved for 500.00 so when I revisited the site where I purchased the item, nothing showing up? I go to Asquirm and gues what... no loans posted! That's 170. They took. I receive another email telling me it's being processed. I call them and oh my goodness, they offer the lamest excuses and had just flat out told me they don't have an answer or they could not see the information I was referring to. BS! I have the email for approvaI right in front of me. I tried again with a lower priced item, once again, 140 down, I paid... not even an email people... no correspondance or confirmation whatsoever. I called the and went off on them! If you are not going to approve the effing loan then why do you take money BEFORE denying a loan and then tell me it's going to take 7 - 10 business days for a refund. Seriously? It took you no time to take my money but I have to wait a week to get it back. That's my funds that you have sitting in your account drawing interest. What a bunch of crooks. Now I'm 300 plus dollars out that I could have used to purchase the item they said they would finance but now I can't because these morons are holding my money. Stay away. The best answer they could give me is "well, at least you're getting a refund" People, their ratings don't suck for nothing. Take heed. You have been warned!

I set up a vacation package with Priceline to LA. I used and was approved for the loan through Affirm. The order went through and was completed on 10/21. On 10/22 i called customer service to confirmed everything went through since I didnt receive an email confirmation. The phone rep stated everything was good and I dont need to do anything else now. I should receive an email in 24hrs. I called back on 10/23 and spoke with another rep who stated that there must have been a glitch in the system and Priceline did not receive the order for my Hotal and air plane tickets. The rep tells me that I need to do the oprder over again. Once im online to place the order, now the flight is $238 more than it was 2 days ago. I spoke with two supervisors that claims there is nothing they can do and they will not pay the difference since their system messed up and the phone rep gave me wrong information.

***DO NOT USE AFFIRM. THEIR SYSTEM IS SCREWED UP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT IS NO HELP*****

Total SCAM
March 9, 2023

I am posting this everywhere because I am so frustrated and I wish I had researched this scam before I uses it. SCAM ALERT! I have uses Affirm several times but this last attempt is the WORST experience i have EVER had with any company. I purchased a phone from my cell provider. The phone was backordered and the order was cancelled. Fine. So I start getting messages that I owe money for this phone I NEVER RECEIVED. I have been going back and forth between Verizon and Affirm for at least 2 months. They order is from November and it is now March. So they are charging ne for NONREFUNDABLE interest because they can't figure out how to fix this. I messaged affirm multiple times only to get the same response which is prewritten list of questions. Every single time the same message. I finally get them to say the issue is resolved. Guess what the resolution is...I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR AN ITEM I NEVER RECEIVED. I am so frustrated and have not idea what to do now. I swear I am always a very reasonable and understanding person but this is really driving me crazy. I am so tired of being scammed by this company.

I previously wrote about Affirm, the financing company that uses Crossroads Bank for their financing. They falsley advertised in the begining to get people in and said they don't check creit scores. Then they got this bank, Crossroads to do their dirty work and the do a "soft" credit check. I've been doing business with ReaReal, the consignment clothing site for two years. I have never been late and have paid my loans early. I got into an altercation with Affirm when they turned me down for no reason. I fought with them for treating a good customer like trash because they are too lazy to handle their own accounts and have a bank, that I have read has gotten into hot water for doing bad business, do their financial accounts now. All of a sudden they gave me a site credit and I bought a few things, just paid off a few and wanted one item for an event I have to attend. I got turned down because they said their "points system" with Transunion said I had delinquent accounts. I have one and the credit card doubled my bill and I can't get them to look into it so I won't pay it until they do. I have other credit accounts all paid to date. DO NOT deal with Affirm. They are sneaky, get people hooked on nice things they normally can't afford even with a regular credit card unless it has a high limit, and then they comb thru your personal records and send you a nice message on Affirm that you don't meet their standards. Affirm is a scam that as I said before has admitted to using algorithims as well to deny people. They don't want to do the work. Steer Clear of them. Unless you're a trust fund baby or white collar worker with a fat bank account backing up, they don't want to know you.

So, I just moved into a new home and at that time my credit score was 831. I had to buy tons of costly items I didn't already have because of "hardwood" (tile floors that are supposed to look like hardwood but fall wayyyy short on look, comfort... You name it). So, I needed to buy area rugs for just about every single room. Also, the home is much larger than my former one. 1 rug cost me ovet $400. I needed 8. Plus the normal ones you'd put down in the kitchen. Threw out a lot of 20 year old things I've been using and bought all new. I needed another Flat screen for the family room. That's where it all went wrong. Bc I felt I was dropping my score too much, I saw a 65" HD at Walmart. It asked if I wanted to use affirm. Since I not only needed the TV, but drapes and rods for the dining room, plus the extra speaker system, I decided to apply. They gave me $1200. With a 831 credit score, I only got $1200 and 19.89 APR. Are they kidding me? Anyway, the TV was completely SHATTERED. Called Affirm, called Walmart (I hate Walmart and never shop there;the TV was a good one and great price) bring back the TV I was told. I said ok, there's another one right near me, can I just swap them out? "NO! You have to wait up to 10 business days for the credit to hit your account. You can apply for more credit at 30.97 APR" I said, wait! I have over $490 left on my line of credit you gave me. They told me I no longer have that and must wait for the return. I told them I'm holding the return receipt in my hand. They did NOT CARE, and. This was a supervisor! I didn't shatter this TV, but was being penalized for it. The next day, we went to BJ's, I just put it on my credit card and. Got the same TV, except it was much better quality and had things on it the Walmart special didn't. Was packaged so well, ya know, how you'd expect a TV to be packaged. Do yourself a favor, and DO NOT EVER apply for affirm. Especially if you have amazing credit like myself. I just didn't want my score to drop anymore and if you add more credit to your availability of such,.;you won't be using a percentage of your previous available credit, but your NEW available credit. Terrible company! Oh, and once my return finally went through Affirm? They didn't adjust my payment terms, they spread out the little bit over 12 months instead. Such a horrible experience

Okay, LOL, I usually dont remark on this topic, but I cant resist sharing the irony. The woman called to collect a payment. I know, I know, if I hadnt gotten behind she wouldnt of had to call at all, but whoopsey! Take me to the woodchipper. I explained I was at work so there will most likely be noise in the background. I also have a softer Voice by Nature but I told her I would try to talk louder. I had to repeat myself quite a few times because she was not hearing when I was saying. I could tell from the tone of her voice she was getting frustrated by having to for me to repeat myself. Now I'm not usually one to bring up this topic But the irony here is this person's accent was so thick I couldn't hardly understand what she herself was saying either so I also had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. I found myself chuckling about the situation. Two people who had to keep asking the other to repeat herself because one couldn't hear and one couldn't understand. Then she asked me three times why I had fallen behind on the loan. I was 18 days late and the total loan was for $158 for a litter robot. It seems like a pretty intrusive question for $158 I wasn't rude about it I just was generally curious what the information was used for. Was it for research purposes? Statistics? Was it for a thesis? I just really wanted to know. I try to be nice and patient with people who actually are calling doing a legit job because there's so many people who call just to run a scam so I keep that in mind that this person is just doing their job. Even though I will admit, I miss the days when the scammers thought Americans were so stupid they thought they could tell us that they were the IRS needing to collect money and iTunes cards would suffice. Damn, I miss those days. They are so much better trained now for American smart asses. So anyway that's all I wanted to say. Sorry for Rambling On and On. But on the bright side I did pay off the full amount today so I've got 99 problems and paying Affirm back aint one.

I was advised there is a 30 day grace period to close an account. Balance is $0.00 last payment was made 1/22/2025 today is 2/18/2025. A waste of my time and extremely unprofessional, a phone call has to be made to close the account.

I am currently tied up in a dispute with a known scam company. I have had little help and a difficult time working with Affirm to resolve the issue. The customer service is from a call center with little authority. There is no clear way to submit evidence cohesively. Unless you are absolutely sure you will never have problems with a purchase, it's tough to recommend this service.
