Affirm offers services through companies that are not reputable. 1 Year later and I am still paying for a debt that has not been resolved.
No customer service, no straight answers, just several reasons to go to my bank for a loan! I hope this shady company goes bankrupt.
Disgusting company lies trap and handling l can be moore especif 4 months dealing with this company.they get into my pocket without my permission
I've had affirm for several months.
It's given me the ability to buy items I normally would of had to wait to buy.
Using it kinda like a credit card but without interest, it's been great.
However, never have a store dispute because you will loose your prequalified amount.
I recently bought an item for 178. Off eBay.
Sorry to say I had to cancel the order the next morning. Although I explained why, the seller was giving me some trouble on refunding as she stated she would be charged by eBay.
Not knowing what to do, I called Affirm. I explained what was going on, and they said they would reach out to eBay. They did, and the issue was resolved in a few days.
However, my prequalified balance went to 2.00. Yes, two dollars. So, now, instead of having a 700 prequalified amount, I have 450.
I called customer service and asked if they could fix it. No. Will my 700 be restored? No.
I am being punished for having to cancel an order.
Now, important to know, over these several months, I've had a number of loans, most only 100., but a few were more.
I've NEVER ONCE BEEN LATE! Most of the time I've paid early.
So, here I sit, wanting to get some cute clothes on sale, and by the time I get paid, the sale will be over. Now, I have 25.00, but not 100 right now. I explained that to them and of course no one cared.
So, I'm guessing they're tired of me using the service with % interest. Although, I've applied to pay over a longer time then 6 weeks, they refused me.
So, my ability to buy has pretty much ended.
Sure, next month, it might stay at 450 once this is paid, but it might not?
Do I recommend Affirm? Yes, I do, but careful. Don't overuse and wear out your welcome, and don't have a refund or return.
I'm sad Affirm won't listen. I've worked hard, lost weight, and that sale would have given me a nice boost.

The new Affrim website is set up for customers to make mistakes, everything bunched up can't really read it
The company sent me the wrong parts. I returned. Affirm still charged me the interest. They are awful
I made two affirm accounts. One with my personal information. The second with my coworkers information. Both accounts used my banking information. My coworker explained to me that there was an overdue payment, which was odd considering I had the funds in my account during the time of purchase and afterwards. I called the affirm number from the app, explained why I had two accounts, told him that my coworker was not comfortable giving her DOB and email address because she is not familiar, nor comfortable with online shopping. I was able to give him her first and last, as well as her phone number. He said he needed to speak to his supervisor before he could help me further. After being on hold for two minutes, he said he could help. I asked him to schedule the overdue payment for the following day, May tenth, and if I could call back to schedule the finale payment. He said of course i could call back, but to make sure I explain the entire situation. He then left a note on my coworkers affirm account stating that, I, would be calling May tenth to schedule the finale payment. On the tenth of May I noticed that both payments had been charged to me. Which was NOT supposed to happen. I called the affirm number again and explained the situation to a new customer service representative, she told me she was incapable of helping me. Then proceeded to tell me after I asked her to ask her supervisor, that there is no supervisor available. After I asked to speak to the supervisor personally she then told me it would be a 24-48 hour wait, which was how long it was (did) take for the money to officially come out of my bank account. When I finally did speak to the supervisor she gave me a bull$#*!e spew stating that there was nothing she could do, which I know for a fact was bull$#*!e considering the male employee I spoke to, and the supervisor that was working that day had absolutely no problem helping me. I am not impressed at all and will definitely not be using companies app ever again. Absolute $#*!e supervisors and customer service representative.
This is the worst company ever!they do not assist you with anything they are horrible! This company needs to be closed down!
Affirm is a sad reasoning along with a data collection company. Simple to say Affirm sucks $#*! at what it does. Hah
They rejected me for a 300 dollar credit on headlights with a 500 credit score I do not recommend them to anyone
Beware of scammers using Affirm to take your money. Affirm doesn't back your purchase in these cases
My payment only pay once a month but I didnt touch anyway. They took my account twice. I piss off! It cause my bank fee. Affirm system need to fix!
This company is horrible. I used them to finance a product in 2019 that I never received. The company stopped replying to customers in January, which is when they lost all their money, and they didn't notify customers. They went out of business in March. There are hundreds of reports of the company going out of business but Affirm won't cancel my loan and refund payments ON A PRODUCT I NEVER RECEIVED FROM A COMPANY THAT WENT UNDER.
Affirm refuses to reply to my emails. I reported them through the BBB, the Attorney General in California, the Attorney General in my state, and the FTC. The government in Utah, where the company I purchased is located, are involved and the authorities as well. The original company is under investigation for fraud, and Affirm is now as well. They are forcing people to pay on loans to a closed company when they never received any product. They've threatened my credit if I don't keep paying.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Report your complaints to the BBB and the Attorney General in California where they are located, as well as your local Attorney General and the FTC. They need to be shut down!
I was working through the process of purchasing a sofa using Affirm as the payment option. Everything was going smoothly. I had to make a down payment on the loan which was fine. I linked my bank account, made the down payment, got the notification on my phone from my bank app that the payment was made. Then the Affirm window displayed an error saying that the session timed out and that the purchase could not be completed.
I received an email saying my loan was denied. I thought this was very strange because I was pre-approved, approved, made a down payment, then denied. Customer service emailed me back after a day and gave me what I call "politician" answers which is when someone answers your question by not answering you at all. I was in back and forth emails with them asking very simple questions. Why was I charged? Why did the order not go through? Was I approved or denied?
I needed to know this information because I needed to know how to proceed. Was my loan still good? Was I denied? Was it typical practice for them to charge a customer for a down payment then decide whether or not to approve them I was actually told I was both approved and denied! That's reassuring.
I was told it was my fault for not accepting the terms of the loan. Mind you, the first round of emails were "sorry, you were denied," then, "you were approved, then denied." Then, "you never hit 'accept' so it's your fault." I never had the opportunity to hit 'accept' because once I made the down payment, the web page said it timed out.
Now, I need to wait 7-10 business days to get a refund on my down payment which further delays the purchase I would like to make. I'm never using Affirm again and I caution those who choose to use their services. If their website fails on you during your transition, you will be made to think it was your fault somehow, you'll be charged a down payment, but your loan will be denied.
Description Run from both of these crooks. Purchased an oxygen concentrator online and was sent the wrong item. Called to inform the company and ask for an exchange or refund. Merchant stated that they were out of the model I requested and would not have one available for 2 weeks. I asked for an RMI for return and was refused that courtesy so I returned the item with a tracking number and called to let the company know i had done so and to expect the item within a couple of days so that I did not fall outside of some limit of return. The merchant refused to accept the return and returned to sender. I never received the item and have no idea where the item is, so I contacted Affirm the finance company to let them know the issues I had been having. I did not want to be held liable to pay for an incorrectly shipped item or an item I do not have possession of. Affirm did not want to get involved with merchant's failures but did initiate a dispute. When the merchant states that is not their policy to accept returns without an RMI., the dispute was closed. I am now being help responsible for paying for the item. Have been referred back to the merchant that refuses to return any correspondence and don't feel they are obligated to refund or exchange the item. Upon ding research and inquiring to other oxugen concentrator companies, i learned that the transaction was illegal because oxygen concentrators are considered medical devises that require a prescription before a legal sale can be made. I contacted the merchant with this information and they refuse to rely at all. I am asking for assistance with this disreputable merchant to help facilitate a full refund. I have had to secure an oxygen concentrator from a more reputable merchant and this time I did receive the correct item and very promptly and without any complications. They made sure that i got what i ordered and was happy with my purchase.
Very bad business...only approves you for a very very few merchants...as long as it gets its fees upfront...
They take my money out but they didn't transfer and process my order don't use it very very bad not recommend at all
On September 4th, I purchased a painting through Affirm. I kept asking for the status of delivery from the seller. He kept giving me the run around. He didn't provide a tracking number as requested. Finally, on September 21st, I requested a refund. He blocked me from communicating with him further. He took down the website where I purchased the painting, and then created a new website after I Googled him. I then opened a dispute with Affirm on September 24th. For three months Affirm kept dragging this dispute along, not helping me get my money back. They kept telling me every couple of weeks that I contacted them that they would prioritize my dispute to no avail. I sent them documentation, snapshots of the conversations with the thief that tried to steal my money, yet they still didn't do anything about it. They also told me after two months that I didn't have to make payments any more since this was taking so long. But in the process, they were denying me to make new loan purchases because I wasn't paying for this loan that was in dispute, which I felt was entirely unfair. They kept apologizing and trying to assure me that the case was be resolved and to wait an additional 3 to 5 business days. It's was now three months later. But then on December 26th Affirm emailed me that they are siding with the seller who never sent the painting I paid for. They told me I have to continue making payments to this thief and if I don't, they are going to block me from making any further purchases until I pay the remaining money due. I then informed them that I would be contacting my bank, the police, and PayPal (who I made my down payment through), about this fraudulent transaction., and that I refuse to continue making payments for a purchase I never received. So now I'm leaving this negative review because Affirm does not help the account holder at all. All they want is their money even if you're being victimized fraudulently. Beware of this app……
