Purchased a product through Amazon. After purchase product no longer available so cancelled ordered. Months of trying to get Affirm to cancel and when they finally did I was still charged $6.83 with not clear explanation along with representatives that were difficult to understand. Trying to close my account has been a struggle too.
I tried to order a Samsung phone through Affirm and was approved. The order was placed but Samsung cancelled the order the same day stating that they didn't have the product on hand. I called Affirm today to check the status of my refund and was told that Samsung is still processing it. I called Samsung and was told that they cancelled the order and refunded the funds back to Affirm. I called Affirm back and they told me once again that Samsung is processing the order. They basically giving me the run around because they don't want to refund my money. Asked for a superior and was told non were available. How can a order still be processing when it was cancelled? These people are horrible and I will never do business with them again and I warn you all to do the same. I already got my new phone through my carrier without any hassles. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AFFIRM UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR MONEY! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
I've been with Affrim for about 3-4 years and I've never had an issue until May '22 I got Covid! It's 10/14/22 and even though I've sent them proof of my hubs and having Covid, getting in contact with the airlines and hotel and yet, they want us to pay for something that we did NOT use! They're constantly giving me the runaround and I'm sick of it! We've decided that our lawyer gets in contact with them. DO NOT TRUST THEM!
I set up affirm to pay for contact lenses in payments. I set up direct deposit, and when suntrust was bought by truist my old card was declined because it was inactive so I put the new card into my account. They never drew payment from that card and never sent me a late notice, just turned me over to collections and then refused to take payment. I was forced to pay off some random debt collector, which is probably going to affect my credit. Kind of frustrating as a college student trying to build my credit, and I'm going to get knocked down some points because this company is a scam.
I have used affirm for many loans and paid off early but they won't give better rates, I have good credit but that doesn't matter, don't use them they are just out to make money
I've had over 29 loans with a excellent pay history. I've had 2 bouts with Covid now covid related illnesses that is affecting affecting my pay. I knew my savings would be depleted by October 2022 so I started requesting assistance in June 2022. I went through 4 different representative of their Global partners (Huge Language Barrier). On 2 occasions I asked to speak to a supervisor and was sent the Covid Assistance Form. In addition, Affirm would have me screenshot the error message received after the assistance completion. If Affirm had approved the Covid Financial Assistance Form, everything would've been on track without causing negative credit reporting issues. However, it was intentionally blocked over 29 times to process the forms. Due to the date of my deposited funds, it would always be 5 - 10 days after due date. When I filed with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, their response stated they call me before placing derogatory items (Past Due Payments) on my credit report. From different phone numbers they would wait for you answer the phone then hang up. It's one of their tactics to make the customer call even though they've spoken to one of representative's 1 - 2 hours ago. Then told them they could not remove accurate information and would not remove it. User's recommendation: Use Klarna and/or Afterpay Instead Affirm
I have tried to speak with someone about a letter showing good standing. It has not happened in 24 h
I have called 3 x to update account and I keep getting the run around. No one can give me an answer.
I have never in my life dealt with such awful Customer Service. Everyone just reads from a script and nothing ever get fixed. Took 4 Months to update a phone number. Sent in copies of DL and my picture MORE Times than I can count. Only to be told several times they will escalate my issue and get back to me only to get them same emails asking for the same information. No one ever really helps and just reads off a script. They are lucky if they even get paid for the one loan I have. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT deal with this company at all.
I decided to use Affirm to pay for an Amazon order. They told me the amount to borrow, approved the loan, then came back and told me I didn't borrow enough to pay for the order, and that Amazon had rejected it (which was a lie...) So I reapplied for the new amount and they wanted to take ANOTHER down payment. I told them I already made a down payment on the order, but they said that was for the 1st loan and that I had to make a new down payment for the 2nd loan. They told me I had to cancel the "virtual credit card" in Amazon which would trigger a refund of my 1st down payment. I deleted the "card" but have yet to see my refund. Somewhere in the process, the terms of the loan changed from monthly payments to bi-weekly payments. Seriously?!? So dishonest!
So, I then cancelled the ENTIRE Affirm order and went and reordered it directly from Amazon. WHEW! What a nightmare! Do NOT do business with these people. Unless you want a migraine headache! I will have nothing more to do with them. Except to get my refund...
They pulled money from my account after saying I was approved, then denied me AFTER and I'm still waiting for a refund. Terrible terrible service and company, DO NOT USE THEM, trash.
I'll never use affirm again... literally had to clean out my account because of a mix up between affirm and pep boy when I ordered tires through the affirm app and the folks at pep boys didn't even know what affirm was... they took $210 out of my account put it back in within seconds. Then took out $220 down payment. I ended up having to pay another $450 to pep boys since they had no idea how to use affirm and were asking me for a physical card on top of the $220 because of Affirm. Now Affirm tells me I have to wait 3-4 days to get my money back when clearly they can push that money back and forth easily like they did when I set up the down payment on the account. Never again. And I'll never use pep boys for tires again either.
Brainless idiots. I set my account up with Affirm and got ready to purchase. I downloaded the app. Affirm sends me an email we cant do this. I think they get information and use it to their advantage. I would not recommend this Chinese run moron group to anyone. I have a good credit score and they wasted my time.
Their customer service people all have thick accents. Very hard to understand. After more than an hour my problem had not been solved. They were condescending and insulting. Insisted I was the problem not their system and told me to get someone to help me "take a picture correctly".
I paid off over $10,000 in loans on time with zero late payments! I only one reported to my credit report! It was over 8 different loans and I only get credit for 1 loan on my credit report! Their policy is they will use your credit score to get you the loans but they will not report all of your loans to your credit report. However on any loan if you are late with any payment or don't pay then any loan can be reported to your credit! What a crappy company! Do not use!
The worst God forgive if you change your phone you would never buy again 5 months i called for an update am still wating wow... and walmart partner with them good luck..
They called me about my payments I still I hadn't made. I was already frustrated what my terrible relationship and how I had no money. I was checking if I could make the partial payment they wanted and then they just say the call is already done and just hangs up. So they wasted my time for nothing!
I bought a Colorado sunburst anemone from Reef chasers… they sent me a regular sunburst rose anemone… they both scam me… I will sue them in court soon….

Okay, LOL, I usually dont remark on this topic, but I cant resist sharing the irony. The woman called to collect a payment. I know, I know, if I hadnt gotten behind she wouldnt of had to call at all, but whoopsey! Take me to the woodchipper. I explained I was at work so there will most likely be noise in the background. I also have a softer Voice by Nature but I told her I would try to talk louder. I had to repeat myself quite a few times because she was not hearing when I was saying. I could tell from the tone of her voice she was getting frustrated by having to for me to repeat myself. Now I'm not usually one to bring up this topic But the irony here is this person's accent was so thick I couldn't hardly understand what she herself was saying either so I also had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. I found myself chuckling about the situation. Two people who had to keep asking the other to repeat herself because one couldn't hear and one couldn't understand. Then she asked me three times why I had fallen behind on the loan. I was 18 days late and the total loan was for $158 for a litter robot. It seems like a pretty intrusive question for $158 I wasn't rude about it I just was generally curious what the information was used for. Was it for research purposes? Statistics? Was it for a thesis? I just really wanted to know. I try to be nice and patient with people who actually are calling doing a legit job because there's so many people who call just to run a scam so I keep that in mind that this person is just doing their job. Even though I will admit, I miss the days when the scammers thought Americans were so stupid they thought they could tell us that they were the IRS needing to collect money and iTunes cards would suffice. Damn, I miss those days. They are so much better trained now for American smart asses. So anyway that's all I wanted to say. Sorry for Rambling On and On. But on the bright side I did pay off the full amount today so I've got 99 problems and paying Affirm back aint one.
So hard to talk with customer service and when you do, they don't have a clue about anything! Zero training and very hard to understand! Horrible experience trying to do a simple purchase
Answer: On paper legit, sort of, but really a scam. They aren't even who you are financing with.
Answer: I had heard of the company because a friend actually knows the owner. Very sorry I did worst experience I have ever had.
Answer: It's not. They now also are charging large interest amounts. Don't use them.
Answer: Follow Walmart's lead... don't use them! Affirm makes everything complicated.
