HORRIBLE APP - BEWARE!

On September 4th, I purchased a painting through Affirm. I kept asking for the status of delivery from the seller. He kept giving me the run around. He didn't provide a tracking number as requested. Finally, on September 21st, I requested a refund. He blocked me from communicating with him further. He took down the website where I purchased the painting, and then created a new website after I Googled him. I then opened a dispute with Affirm on September 24th. For three months Affirm kept dragging this dispute along, not helping me get my money back. They kept telling me every couple of weeks that I contacted them that they would prioritize my dispute to no avail. I sent them documentation, snapshots of the conversations with the thief that tried to steal my money, yet they still didn't do anything about it. They also told me after two months that I didn't have to make payments any more since this was taking so long. But in the process, they were denying me to make new loan purchases because I wasn't paying for this loan that was in dispute, which I felt was entirely unfair. They kept apologizing and trying to assure me that the case was be resolved and to wait an additional 3 to 5 business days. It's was now three months later. But then on December 26th Affirm emailed me that they are siding with the seller who never sent the painting I paid for. They told me I have to continue making payments to this thief and if I don't, they are going to block me from making any further purchases until I pay the remaining money due. I then informed them that I would be contacting my bank, the police, and PayPal (who I made my down payment through), about this fraudulent transaction., and that I refuse to continue making payments for a purchase I never received. So now I'm leaving this negative review because Affirm does not help the account holder at all. All they want is their money even if you're being victimized fraudulently. Beware of this app……

We canceled a trip and VRBO refunded them the entire amount of $2800 they still owe us $810 worst service ever. Still no money! 2 months later have called many times all so rude

Not HAPPY AT ALL!

Just recently paid off my affirm account. Was back at credit limit of 1700.00. Decided to use the affirm card to make purchases for coffee and sweets on my way back from dialysis. Went to the store this morning to get coffee, tried to use my affirm card, amt declined. Tried to use the tap and pay with affirm on my phone, amt still declined. I thought it was my pin number, so when I got home, checked my account online and change the pin number just in case that was the problem. Then I went to check my available credit limit for the day, the amount said 0.00! How is this possible?! I just paid this account off in full two weeks ago--all caught up. Contacted affirm customer service, rep could not tell me why my available credit limit was sitting at 0.00-- when he confirmed that my account was paid in full! I burned the card! I'm not going to be stuck somewhere thinking that I could use this affirm card as an emergency backup or to get a cup of coffee, and the card gets declined due to lack of available credit. This is Just a rip off! DONE with this company...FOR REAL! 12/26/2023

The affirm staff seemed nice in the beginning. I was asked to provide my website for final approval. A few days later I was told my site was not approved. I wrote and asked 'why' and asked to speak with a manager. I simply wrote the representative, letting her know I am a black woman in this industry and all my competitors have affirm. I was unsure why I was not eligible for an affirm business account. I said it would help potential customers be able to afford my luxury furniture. The representative read my email, but she never responded. A week later, I reached back out and created a new ticket. A representative wrote saying they reviewed the file and they provided me with the 'eligibility information'. I met all the eligibility requirements and even offered to provide the names of competitors with affirm business accounts. No response. I went to Klarna's site and I was approved in 10 minutes. It was not meant for me to have an affirm business account. I just want other potential affirm customers to know my experience. A simple valid response or call from a manager would have been sufficient.

I purchased a ticket to a Beyonce concert earlier this year and the ticket was double sold, so I wasn't able to go. I obtained PROOF that the girl who scanned my ticket purchased my ticket on SeatGeek as well. Affirm sided with the ticket selling app (Gametime) saying that all sales are final. Yeah, I don't disagree but I didn't get a ticket! Why am I responsible for a ticket that was sold more than once? This company is trash. And then when I opened up my dispute, they kept sending me canned responses, you could literally tell they weren't looking at my evidence. I had pictures of this woman at the concert, screenshots of our messenger conversations AND a copy of her receipt. BUYER BEWARE!

Two times this company did the same thing to me, once with Walmart and then with Ebay. They approve your payment plan, charge your card for the down payment and then decline the end transaction and keep your money. Yeah, great Affirm, thanks a lot. No merchandise for me, no sale for the dealer and money thrown in the garbage, 34 $ this time.

Its a total garbage this company. The customer service people are outsourced. They doesn't understand anything so customer support is pathetic. They will decline your application even if you have a good credit score.

I have used affirm a few times, and I have NEVER been so pissed off at them! I tried to book a flight with them through cheapoair, I had been waiting for confirmation from cheapoair for over a week, and had gotten a "loan accepted" email from affirm so I didn't think it would be an issue. I called affirm because cheapoair stated that they didn't have any records of a purchase. When I called affirm, their representative said "next time, call within 24 hours of the purchase to make sure it's all good". I really shouldn't have to, a good and reliable company would call ME to let me know that there are issues.

Fraudulent Fraud Fony

As I'm minding my business shopping on my favorite amazon prime app overspending money as usual ready to check out here comes an extra message saying pay in four payments instead of at once. Perfect absolutely perfect for a lady like myself who constantly spends money shopping. Hit the link add my card then Boom sorry add another payment method. I do so but again Boom sorry add another payment method Ok thinking maybe if I just give affirm the amount they asking for onto Affirm app they'll have the payment no need for a different method. Money won't be available for 2-3 days I don't need the funds available I need the funds put towards the items I'm trying to purchase before I was so rudely interrupted. By golly This internet crap with these websites some are scams and the multiple passwords and emails can't access this cuz my number changed. How many times I been married how many times divorced IS ANNOYING AND WAY TO MUCH… Over it at this point. Gheech

Have no complaints about using them. Process straightforward. I actually have about 7 different "loans" going. But...recently made a payment about 3 days before due. I didn't look closely to see that my last payment the following month would only be 78 cents. Not wanting to wait but to just get it over with, tried to schedule a 78 cent payment. A message popped up saying that there was a $1 minimum. So, having a few days cushion, sent them a message that I wanted to cancel the payment I made so I could then schedule the entire balance. The message back suggested I should have heard back by now; I have not. So next month I'll have to pay them $1 to retire the loan which will cancel the interest credit I had received by rounding up the amount each month and/or making payments a few days early. Am constantly bombarded daily with "deals", "offers," "sales", etc. Once I pay everything off, will likely not use them again and will block them from emails and/or tag their messages as what they are...junk!

I tried to purchase an item at Walmart with a virtual card. They couldn't accept virtual payments but affirm had me pay the loan and has been giving me the run around for over 3 months. No transaction was made but my 215 dollars was kept.

Refused to cancel loan

I bought an item from Amazon for $800+. I thought I would get a loan from Affirm. A few days later, the amount of the purchase was deducted from my bank account but Amazon. I called Affirm to cancel, and they said the were not able to. I saw the true nature of Affirm. They appear to only want your money, and customer service was unimportant. I will never do business with them, again.

Caution When Using This Company

This company's primary goal is to get your money. If you have an issue with a merchant, they will say they will help but in reality, they don't. I purchased Furniture from a store and it arrived damaged and the merchant is unwilling to resolve so I contacted affirm as they are the ones I used to make the purchase and the representative at Affirm told me they would open a dispute and would work with me to resolve this. Not even 3 days goes by and I get an email from Affirm that they have sided with the merchant even though I supplied all the evidence consisting of invoices, images of damage and images of what I should have gotten. If you've gotten approved for Affirm you most likely have credit cards so I suggest that you use a card instead of this service because if something goes wrong Affirm won't do anything to help. And if you ever need to contact customer care be prepared. Not to get any hep at all because seems like their reps don't know anything about what services their own company offers.

Affirm provides capital to Merchants that scam consumers by giving loans to unsuspecting consumers to buy products from internet scammers that either don't deliver or send substandard items like Ride on cars with no wheels. These merchants align themselves with Affirm for money Affirm supplies by giving low cost loans.
The scamming Merchant gets his money. Then Affirm demands theirs and the Consumer has no recourse but to pay the loan. In my case with Magic cars but no ride on car.
Affirm knew they had a no cancelation.a no return a no refund a no post Customer service to call about a Warranty that does not really exist if there is no customer service. Yet Affirm attaches their name to get funds to them to operate. Affirm is the financial side of internet scammers.

Worst service

I would give no stars if i could, i ordered a sneakers nov 11, today is now nov 22nd, and still says processing, now the item is sold out, i call to ask why is it still processing, and that the item is now sold out, so i would like my money reversed back to me... oh man,worst help ever, they gave me a supposed order id #, and told me call the merchant and make them confirm the order, is canceled are didnt go through, i called the merchant, and the order number doesnt exist, i called affirm back, and there still telling me, call the merchant to confirm, after i told them multiple times with in the call, that merchant stated they can not do anything with no order #
