I bout an item expecting the item to cost less than it was, because of the shipping, but I was mistaken. Customer service was able to quickly give me a refund for my purchase. Great shop, 5 stars!
I have been an AEO Synchrony card holder since 2017. I have always paid timely. However, recently I made a payment with two checks. Paying balance in full! One check in the envelope was successfully credited to my account. The other check was apparently cashed by someone else. This was completely shocking.Supervisors I visited with, continue to say the envelope could have been damaged before they received it. This company has been completely negligent. Also, there is zero cooperation to assist me in investigating the issue. I need a form from this company stating the check that was endorsed by another person, and not endorsed by them—- BUT, I get zero cooperation! Do not get a credit credit from this company! After this occurred, I sent a final check to close my account and they are saying they did not receive yet another payment.So again I have a cleared check from my back as proof and have to spend too much time on the phone trying to explain how I should have a zero balance! It is not worth having this card!
The quality of clothing is great, and the jeans do last a long time. They have a great size selection to meet your needs. Shipping is quick and returns are easy. Highly recommend.

Due to internal errors, which I was never given an explanation for, I ended up placing 3 orders with American eagle, resulting in over $600 of pre-authorization charges on my bank account. For anyone not familiar, those charges tie up your account for about a week, so you're not able to use your money during that time for other needs. They never were able to complete any order, despite multiple attempts and 2 hours on the phone with customer service. The discount offered on my 3rd attempt and expedited shipping were both ignored, and the only thing they could offer was canceling the 3rd order and placing a 4th, resulting in yet more pre-authorization charges, which I can simply no longer afford to keep accruing. Doesn't seem like a few pairs of jeans with overnight shipping should be that complicated, should it? Apparently even the supervisors there are unable to fill my order, leaving me with $600 missing from my account and no clothes to show for it. I'm going out of town and needed the jeans for the trip. Now I have no money in my account when I need it and no clothes to take with me. Will definitely never shop with this company again!
I have been a credit card holder since 2012, have placed many orders over the years and spent a considerable amount of money at this company. My last order had so many complications it's unacceptable. 7 days after I placed an order, which has been shipped in 3 different shipments, I call customer service to ask why part of my order STILL has not been shipped. The woman tells me "oh yeah, those items are on back order, and have been on back order". When I ordered the items there was no indication that they were out of stock and the company let me purchase them anyways. This morning, without telling me, they cancelled my order. They were Christmas gifts for my family so now its less than 10 days from Christmas and I have to go find new gifts. And that was not the only complication i had with this order! When I tried checking, after I filled out all the shipping and payment details, the website told me one of my items was out of stock. I checked again and it was up on the website as in stock, let me add it to my bag, and let me fill out all information until I hit the "purchase" button. THIS WEBSITE NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. Especially around the holiday season. You have really let me down American Eagle.
Granted I am really not a teenager anymore, I still love wearing this brand. I bought several items online & when they arrived I tried them on. I had to take a few shirts back because they didn't fit me right. When I took them into the store (I had both of my kids, 2 & 4, in tow) to return them one of the sales people were working on displays & asked me what I needed. I told them I had to return some things and they asked if I would like to exchange them for something else. I politely declined considering I had my kids with me or I would have. The person called a different person from the back to handle my return. Not exactly sure why this person couldn't have done it considering they were right there but whatever. Another sales person comes and does what she needs to do to refund me. Another sales associate comes up and starts talking to the first sales person that I encountered. The music in the store was a little loud but I could hear the conversation the two were having. They were talking about ME! Before I left I made sure I turned around to them and put in a few scents worth to them. I found it very unprofessional and most of all rude! If I ever have to return items to this store again, I will go to a different location!
Best fitting, most comfortable jeans ever. And great sizing on button-down shirts. Also most comfortable boxer briefs. They beat CK on comfort and price.
American eagle clothing is amazing! They always fit just right, good quality, and they look so good! However, the website is poor quality and it always freezes.

So about two weeks ago I bought a new pair of underwear. Having worn them I decided to place them in a mixed colours wash along with a white and blue T-shirt I've been mixed colour washing for a year. The underwear band ran into my white and blue top and has ruined it. The top cost me 50$ and the underwear 15$.
After spending 20minutes on the phone, and 3 emails later. American eagle reffered to this issue as my own fault, and a possible cause being laziness. I'm sorry American eagle. But I thought your products would of held with the standard of the the rest of my clothes, and not ruined one of my favourite t-shirts!
Unfortunately for me the end result lead to total denial of responsibility from American Eagle that their products was actually the catalyst in this debacle. So a strong word of warning. If you decide to buy cheap American Eagle products be prepared to spend your spare time washing every item separately as they can't handle being in contact with other items from your wardrobe. Someone send me some patience, very unpleased customer.
Placed an order for four clothing items total: one bikini top and three bikini bottoms. First, I thought it was weird that my order came out in two shipments, all while the bikini top still hadn't shipped after five days of placing my order. Today I received an email stating that my bikini top order had been canceled. Contacted customer service live chat first, and the representative disconnected from me while I was in the middle of typing a long reply with some bull$#*! about me "losing connection." Proceeded to then call customer service, was told that nothing could be done about my canceled order other than the obvious refund. One representatives told me that the item I ordered was low stock, while the other said that the item was out of stock, even though there is NOTHING on the website indicating this. If the item was out of stock, why the hell did I not get a notification until FIVE DAYS after placing my $#*!ing order? Customer service is a $#*!ing joke. They're admittedly nice enough but will all give you the same generic answers. I'm going out of the country for a month in a week and was hoping to receive my bikini sets before leaving, and now I'm having to scramble to find a bikini top in hopes that it will ship to my house before I'm gone. I can confidently say that I will not be ordering from AE anymore. I would've expected $#*! like this from Wish, but not AE.
I love this place... it's expensive, but their clothes hold up really wellmy daughter has had some of her jeans for more than 10 years. Super friendly customer reps.
Tried to order two pair of jeggings from America Eagle had Prmo code to get so much off wouldn't allow me to use code charged full amount called America Eagle and they were no help I canceled the order still put hold on account for three to five days there horrible

I ordered two pairs of boxers for my boyfriend for Christmas (strange, but he loves them.) I ordered them over two weeks ago and, was told at checkout that they would be at my door within 7-10 business days. No big deal. But it's been TWO WEEKS. A few days ago I contacted customer service and asked where my items were. They advised me that they were still being processed as weren't sure as to why they hadn't been shipped but told me they would get right on it and that I would get an email with an explanation within the nsxf 24 hours. Said email said, basically, "your items will be shipped within 7-10 business days. Thanks for your purchase." Nice American Eage, nice. This morning I checked my email for an update and there was 1. I read the email and it said ONE of the TWO pairs of boxers I ordered have shipped. They stated the reasoning was to "get me my items ASAP." In my opinion, sending them a week ago, together, would have been ASAP. Silly me. Overall, I gave them two stars because my boyfriend will only wear their underwear, otherwise, I do not suggest buying online from this store.
