I ordered a Christmas gift on 11/29 and chose standard (4-8 day shipping) Today is the 14th and my package still hasn't arrived. I contacted American Eagle and they said they can not do anything until the 22nd and my best option was to re-order the items. I asked to have my shipping cost refunded and they said they could not do that.
I'll never purchase from these scam artists again. They screw up your order, then expect you to waste your time and money fixing it.
Awful customer service. They lost an order of mine made it my problem and refused to refund me the money or even look into it. Other companies don't treat you this bad!
For the second year in a row, I have been taken by the American Eagle / Aerie gift card promo. Last year they ran a promotion wherein you order $100 in gift cards and receive $25 in a promotional gift card that can only be redeemed in January--I waited and nothing arrived and I was then told by customer service that it had to be a single transaction and I would not receive the promo cards. This year I bought 2 x $100 cards in a single transaction (I also noted in the fine print it said that you could use multiple transactions...) and the screen had a big ad for the promo and said it ended on Dec 27th. I waited and then reached out and was told that when I bought the gift cards this year they were not running the promotion at all, it ended on the 26th and the 27th meant 27th at midnight--no explanation as to why they still had the promo on the website and why it was on screen while I was purchasing. They've been very glib/rude and I'm done shopping with American Eagle and Aerie at this point.
I went into American Eagle today at the Heart Land location and all I can say is that the help I got from Rose was the BEST EVER! She was very friendly, helpful and she just got me. It is rare today to get personal help,someone who will help you get the outfit that is just right for you. Rose is a keeper!
I have ordered a ton from this company for years for my teenagers and within the last couple years for me and my husband. Then they dropped the big people sizes which really sucks, I'm sure I am not the only person that feels this way. Just because I'm a heavier woman doesn't mean I can not be stylish. I guess I'll just go back to Silver jeans, DO BETTER AEO!
THEY CHARGE $5.00 minimum FOR RETURN -- read small print before you order; Advertised T-shirts as "very soft" but it did NOT say that the fabric is SO THICK, it's like planing to go to the North Pol -- sneaky exclusion of fabric thickness info. I'm punished 2 times with return:
1. Going to the USPS, and 2. CHARGED $5.00 FOR RETURN SHIPPING -- this was the first and the LAST time "flying" with "eagle".
American eagle website is terrible. They let you add things to your cart that is out of stock let's u put all your information in then says items in your bag are not available bit don't tell you which ones. WORST WEBSITE FOR SHOPPING EVER!!!!
I was shopping, minding my own buisiness, I was ready to check out and the girl (I think her name was Etsme) gave such attitude. Normally I would ignore it but this was the THIRD time I'd seen her in that store acting unprofessional. She was in even rude to her fellow employee. I found the worst cargo pants and jeans from them in black colour. Both of them leave colour while washing and already get faded after 3 washes. So poor quality.

I love their clothes! They also have a 40% off selection. This is an awesome site to checkout. They have nice quality, good fitting clothes, which are reasonably priced.
I love this store. I am 6 feet tall and have a extremely hard time finding clothes that fit my arm and/or leg length. This is one of the few stores where i can assure my pants will be long enough and in some cases may have to hem. The other thing I like is they have jeans that come high on the hips. I can't wear (excuse me... I WON'T wear as I am far too old for that) the low cut style that ends at the pubic bone. The jeans that I purchased are so soft that I could wear them straight out of the bag. I would wear them every day if it was acceptable at work.
My only complaint is the variety. The high waist artist jeans are so tight through the thighs that I am not sure how others fit in them. I would love to find just a straight leg Jean that doesn't flare and look like a bell bottom. I did rip up one pair and sew in a straight slimer fit.
Finally price. Everyone knows there are pricey jeans out there. Especially if you need an custom size. I can watch my email most weeks and get some kind of discount offer for being a member of there mail list. $40.00 is a great price for what you get. Returns are handled quickly and efficiently.
I have not purchased any tops, so I don't know if they will be long enough for my arms.
Yiu won't be sorry for investing in their quality clothing.
Order t shirts and waited till 1 month after being regularly following up after delivery date they cancelled the order and didn't give any response from customer service team.
I'm Art from Mexico City and my experience with AE has been always a nightmare, I've starting to think that maybe they're racists because everytime that I need to talk with the staff of customer service they´re very rude, not friendly and they always treat us as if they were doing us a favor or as if we were asking for free clothes and I think that is very wrong, they end the chat or the call even when you're still talking/writing. Apparently they block any purchase from Mexico City because now no one can buy anything from here because they don't let you add your mexican credit or debit card because "there was an unexpected error" and when you finally made it, they cancel it "due to an availability issue or your request.", but when you look again for your product is still there, obviously available. And when you really made it, your package takes several weeks to arrive and when you try to contact them they say that is your fault or your responsability if the package doesn't arrives and there will not be refund of your money if the package get lost in the process. But even with all this nightmare, I really love their clothes, so I'm hoping that maybe one day they change all the staff and the bad attitude against all the people that the only thing that they want is to buy their clothes.
I was just in one of your stores today. It is the store located in Meridian Idaho, at The Villages. I had a great cashier who was nothing but nice to me. Her name was Rachel. I had gone in to buy some shorts and a tank top. I had found a pair of shorts. But once I realized that they were too much money sadly I had to put them back. I did find two pairs of jeans and a tank top. The jeans were on a clearance rack. But when they were rung up one of the pairs of jeans was full price. The manager ended up stepping in and saying that there was nothing they could do. That i would have to either pay full price or not get them. This kinda outraged me because they were clearly on a clearance rack. The manager then stepped away. Rachel at this point did everything she could to help me get the discount. I ended up getting them for a lower price then there original price. I would just like to say that the managers behavior probably wasn't the best. I have worked in customer service before and the way the manager acted was not right. I've always been told the customer is always right. The only reason i will go back to this store is because of Rachel.
I was looking around to buy new jeans then I see that the GeneralManager was not treating her employees with respect and I do not tolerate that type of behavior, and I wouldn't like her to keep working there if she can't even treat her employees with respect and is a very messy person. This should come to some real consequences. Her being a GM is very embarrassing putting really bad examples for others this should be taken to corporate ASAP. By the way her name is Ahriel.
At my local AE I had a snobby Jack $#*!, She was more obsessed about what was on her phone. Seemed like a slut but that's another story. She was ignorant and useless. Even told me to $#*! off when I asked for a room to try them on. I gave a 4 star because he quality has been $#*! but I always take care of the items and have good luck with them. If you take care of them then they'll be good that's why they are great for me. So awesome clothes I like them and prices are fair I just know I'm driving to the other AE across town the next time I go and hope that I don't have a prick for a worker. I put in a customer complaint to Her manager and I hope he fires that arrogant $#*!. I went in a few days ago to look at some prices and I had. No content to shop there which I didn't because of her. I was comparing prices between this one and the AE across town from me. And in there I didn't see her so I hope she got fired but I won't be going back there again. If I shop there its online shopping. If you are ever in Boston MA don't go to the AE on 200 State street that's where I had the $#*!ty service. Other than that AE all you need to work on to please me is get kind useful workers. Other than that keep up the good work.
Literally the worst experience I've ever had trying to buy jeans, i went into the store to try on they did not have a great selection. I said I would go to another mall to find them as I really wanted them for my birthday. The sales associate promised they would be there by my birthday, that was a lie. The package did say delivered 2 days before my birthday. It was NOT delivered, i have cameras outside my house that notify me when packages arrive and I have never not received a package from anywhere else. The chat people were rude and kept disconnecting when i informed them that the jeans never arrived. They then told me that they refunded me and they could reship them to my house but if they dont show up this time thats my fault and they wont be refunding me, and if i wanted to switch delivery address i would no longer get the free shipping i was promised. I really did like the jeans but they are not worth the hassle or probably not even receiving them. The sales associates are extremely pushy also. Will never be supporting them again
