Do not fall for this "free trial" BS. They are, as everyone has said, scam artists. I was simply trying to get images for a school project and did not intend on being locked into an annual subscription that charged every month. In order to cancel you have to pay a cancellation fee and it's ridiculous. Do not fall for this! I wish I had read the reviews before I did this :(
You don't know this when you sign-up for a month with your credit card, but it's like signing a contract. If you decide to cancel after the free period, you get charged A LOT! For example, I had a 10 images (lowest) subscription and was paying $35 per month. When I decided to cancel, I got charged $160. I asked for the amount to be refunded and my account restored so I had to pay for another month and been told by two separate customer support people that y charges (including the cancellation fee) will be refunded. Two days later, I get an email that my case is still open and I find out that only one fee (the one for the previous month) has been refunded, but they kept the cancellation fee. The customer support rep that's currently reviewing my case is taking his/her time and barely speaks correct English. Hoping they will refund the entire amount, but that doesn't make up for the fact that they're very scammy and these practices have no place in such a big corporation. Also - Adobe, c'mon, you can afford having better qualified people working for you.
As everyone else stated. DO NOT do a trial without cancelling! They will charge you 32.99 each month and put you on a rabbit chase. And when you cancel have fun paying that fee. Adobe is horrible!
I've held a subscription for 10 stock photos every month for 8 months. I've only used a few in that time. I wanted to cancel my plan now that I have a healthy pool of images to use, but cancelling will take away my ability to use the remaining images. It's a an unnecessary cash-grab.
This company should know better - its just a scam when you have to pay 6 months fee to get out of a subscription. I will try my best to move away from their Creative Suite now - what pricks.
Rigid subscription contract, the library is rife with duplicate styled images, and perhaps the worse customer service ever.
I've used adobe forever and signed up for the "free trial" of stock 6 months ago. They have now charged me for 6 months and will cancel all of the credits I've paid for if I cancel. What a piece of sh*t company.
As mentioned by many others here, don't be tempted to sign up for the free trial because if you forget to cancel it you'll be trapped into a year long contract that you won't be able to cancel without a hefty fee.
You will fall into a year long contract with an big cancellation fee. They will not send you an email letting you know this is about to happen. This is unfortunate since I have up till now been happy with Adobe's software
Adobe Stock is a scam and a trap. If you sign up to a trial, then forget about it and try to cancel it after your first charge they'll hit you with a cancellation fee. If I could give this scam zero stars I would.
I'm not even mad about the charge I got when I forgot to cancel the subscription, that's my own fault, but to try and punish me with a cancellation fee for doing so? Get $#*!ed Adobe.
I've been using Adobe products for over 15 years. I was a subscriber to dollarphotoclub before it was bought by Adobe. It used to be 10 bucks for 10 photos a month. As soon as adobe bought it, they jacked up the price 300% and made credits expire, even after you paid for them. Disgusting practices. Adobe no longer innovates. They are rent seekers. Avoid them at all costs whenever possible.
DO NOT REGISTER TO ADOBE STOCK! It's a scam, and thy will rip you of your money. Free trials are not worth it. You CANT cancel!
Zero stars is much more appropriate.
They take your money when you cancel.
I forgot to cancel my free trial so they billed me $32+. Them when I did cancel they bellied me for 2 more months. Total of $100 charged (without my permission) for absolutely nothing.
Good images BUT even if you have 60 downloads available and want to cancel until you use them and restart your subscription, you lose ALL OF THEM if you cancel, even though you paid for those downloads, it feels like a total rip off and not in the interest of the consumer.
This is a scam place for sure, I tried the free trial and even ordered three extra pictures. They wouldn't let me have my pictures saying that someone had hacked my account or something weird like that and I had to pay $30 to get things fixed. And they wouldn't give me my pictures or let me download them. I spent $10 on three extras and they never gave me my pictures. Then they tried to charge me $40 for cancelling the free trial, somehow I finally got out of that by Gods grace, but they never gave me my pictures. This is a scam! They were very nasty and rude acting to me also!
I had been using Adobe Stock since 2015 until today. Good range of images for what I needed and never had issues. Yesterday I could no longer download previews or even licence an image, nothing would actually start to download but the website would say it had. They were happy enough to take one of my monthly allocations off me when I tried but not give me the image.
Went to customer support and all I got was small talk (who has time for small talk when you have clients waiting).
Then they kept asking what was wrong and it felt like they weren't even reading my repeated message stating what issue I was having, which just got me more and more frustrated. Saying it must be on my end, I must have changed my download path, but seeing as nothing was actually starting to download as I had stated numerous times it wasn't on my end as everything else I had downloaded this day from other sites worked just fine, to the same folder as always.
It all just felt like I was banging my head against a brick wall, and even though it cost me to cancel there was no point keeping something that was no longer working for me. Off to try another stock website
Hateful service thats impossible to cancel without them disabling all the image credits for which youve already paid. Customer service that will blatantly lie to you about keeping your credits and cancelling your contract if you pay one final subscription fee. Adobe Stock will taint your impression of the Adobe brand forever.
Best to avoid this service all together. Or signup using PayPal, so you can cancel the monthly recurring transaction whenever you want. But be sure to download all the images youve paid for to a folder on your computer first and use up all your credits before Adobe lock your account.
Charging a cancellation fee is very scummy. They also make it very hard to get in touch with anyone to complain. Steer clear.
I have used Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Illustrator... for many years. I have always been happy with their products. So when I needed a few stock photos for a project, I signed up for Adobe Stock. It seemed like the logical thing to do.
I never really used it very much and I also have cut back on my photography in general so I decided I needed to cancel the stock photos as I was paying for nothing.
What a shock to find that they are charging me $ 1 6 0 dollars to cancel!
If you are thinking about signing up for this service D O N OT!
I have never seen a company that charges you to cancel. I am not happy being charged $29.99 every month. I couldn't afford to cancel until this month. They charged $30 to cancel. Not worth the $$. Run away!
Answer: Dreamstime.com I get premium images or try their free section every once in a while. There are other free sites, but the content here is more unique. Also Stockfreeimages.com is a sister site I use frequently, tons of free stuff sometimes not easy to find though.
Answer: If you did the free trial and did not cancel it then that is why you are being charged. If you don't cancel prior to the end of the trial they automatically lock you into a yearly commitment. I would call or chat with them and tell them that if they don't cancel it for you and waive the $60 early cancellation fee then you will post negative reviews about your experience. That is what I did and they waived the fee for me. They were going to make me pay it until I told them that I am basing my review on this interaction.
Answer: I hear ya. After about 40 minutes of battling it out with the chat agent I was able to get the cancellation fee waived. I had to threaten them with a bad review before they would do it though. If you haven't cancelled yet try the bad review method
