I don't usually write reviews but this is crazy. Adobe Stock just told me, if I cancel my subscription, they will charge me an earlier cancellation fee. One more time, I get screw over for a company that put all this policies in small letters god knows were just to make sure, you don't see it. Please, Please get another stock picture service. This one will force to be in for a 1 year!

After getting suckered into a YEAR-LONG $29.99 a month contract, I carefully read through the terms and conditions. This "contract" is so sneakily written in you have to be a lawyer to understand what you're signing up for. They also have a "no class action" allowed, as if they know how deceitful they are being. SHAME on Adobe!

Adobe sent me a 1099 for income they had not paid me. They do not answer their corporate phone, and if they do, they "transfer" you to numbers that do not answer. Not do they answer by email. In short, they dodge their photographers.

So i'm dumb and tried the 10 free assets and forgot to cancel after a month and got charged. Whoopdy-doo whatever, but when I went to cancel there was a 60 dollar fee (60$ TO CANCEL YOUR MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION?!). Always read the fine print i suppose.

Horrible
January 24, 2020

I tried to cancel my subscription for MONTHS. The help line was useless. I was hung up on. My calls were disconnected while on hold. Now that I've finally been able to cancel I'm being charged? Ridiculous. I want my money back.

If you forget to cancel your plan after your free trial they want to charge you 50% of your annual fee - which would be $359.88. And you don't even get to keep your credits. So I was bullied into keeping my plan. Then when I tried cancelling after 6 months they tried offering me 3 free months. And then I could cancel the 10th month without an cancellation fee... (What? How does this make sense!) I pointed out that if I'd cancelled back when I originally wanted, my 50% cancellation fee would have been $179.95, which I had already paid ($29.95/month x 6 months) anyways! You know, basic math. This cancellation policy makes zero sense. Especially for customers like me who have been paying monthly but haven't used a single credit. He finally agreed to cancel my plan without fees. But in retrospect I should have asked for a full refund. Highway robbery. Shady cancellation policy. Manipulative customer service policies. Mark my words, it's only a matter of time before Adobe is no more. They are getting rather old school. And soon they'll be obsolete. Obviously they are trying to look for new market revenue. But realistically, the images they are selling you can get the exact same ones from other Stock companies. And they must be downright desperate to put such a cancellation fee in place. Quick search online and the web is crawling with bad reviews like mine. When will they begin listening? That is why I am writing this review, despite my plan being cancelled without a fee. Buyer beware. Don't let customer service bully you. Stand firm. And don't wait to ask for your refund and/or cancellation.

As with many other reviewers, I signed up for a free trial when I needed some photos for a work project, and didn't give it a second thought before I noticed I was being charged $36 per month. Fine, I guess I didn't read the fine print because I expect a company as big as Adobe to be transparent about their costs, but I'll take the loss and cancel. Then I get hit with a $150 cancellation fee because they went ahead and signed me up for a yearly subscription with monthly payments.

If this happens to you, know that customer service WILL play ball if you persist and say the right things. Simply raise the complaint with Adobe's chat support. First, they will try to divert you with alternative offers like 3 additional free months, a downgrade to a cheaper subscription, etc. To counter this, simply state that if this complaint is not handled well, you will stop using Adobe products altogether. As with many companies, threatening to abandon their products altogether will prompt them to escalate the complaint in their customer service protocol. Right after I said this, I was informed that my subscription would be cancelled without charge, and that I would get a refund of the months charged. Should this not work, state that you have read countless stories online about people getting full refunds and that you know it's part of their policy.

It's a bit of a hassle but well worth the hundreds of dollars it'll save you. This scam exists only by the grace of people who don't know how to get out of their ridiculous cancellation fee.

Sad they charge you a cancellation fee of almost 3 months worth of the plan! What a rip off. It is very expensive and not worth it. They mislead you into getting a monthly plan and then charge you for the yearly plan.

100% SCAM
November 20, 2019

Tried out the free trial for Adobe stock, quickly realized I don't need it for what I do and cancelled within the first two days. I ended up getting billed the next month and cancelled again online and it seemed to confirm that it was cancelled but clearly not because I repeated this process 2 more times before I finally called to cancel and got hit with a $60 cancellation fee which I got them to wave but only time will tell if that was also a lie. Can't believe a company that so many small businesses rely on would pull a scam like this.

I was charged over $60 as a "cancellation fee" after signing up and not using for only 1 month. Rude customer service via chat was absolutely no help.

Adobe is very sneaky. They did not tell me up front about a cancellation fee for the stock image. I think it's awful and misleading business practices and I am reporting you! I tried cancelling after one and one 1/2 months and they wanted to charge me a $59.98 fee. If you cancel within the 30 days there is no fee, but they don't tell you that. Very sneaky!

Signed up for 10 free images. Unbeknownst to me, that automatically signed me up to a YEAR plan that I could not get out of. Reached out to Adobe, they cancelled it. Great. I had 30 remaining images for the $120 I paid. I get down to 22 images, then my plan expires, and I can no longer use any of them. But I paid over $80 for them right? No! As soon as your plan expires, you can no longer access the images YOU PAID FOR! You cannot license the images you paid for - I still can't believe it. So you renew your membership, pay another $40+ a month, accrue 10 more photos, just to use the 10 you didn't get to use last month? Who can guarantee they'd use 10 photos every single month, especially as an individual? So disgusting and shameful of Adobe - and that's coming from someone who uses Illustrator, Audition, Photoshop and Lightroom. Stay away!

After our 30 day free trial of Adobe Stock it charged our card and we never got our credits. After contacting LiveChat support twice and being told they would get back to us within 5-7 days TWICE we finally cancelled and disputed the charges via PayPal.

I didn't cancel my subscription because I was in a car accident and I didn't even remember I did it. I accepted that I was stuck in this hostage situation where I would be penalized for canceling. However, I am low on funds as I'm recovering from my accident and I discovered that even though you pay the monthly subscription, they take them from you if you are late on the next month. I have 60 credits that I cannot use even though I've paid for them. It is a scam. It takes advantage of small business owners by taking your money and returning nothing. Audible and Paypal both lost a class action suit for taking advantage of things like this. I'm very disappointed because I've been a paid creative cloud subscriber for a long time. I tried to resolve and they refused to give me access to a product I paid for. So, if you have income fluctuations for any reason, they will take back everything you already paid for. Thanks Adobe.

We logged in to our team account one day to find all of our credits had been deleted. I contacted Adobe, and they said they had NO WAY of researching my account even though I provided them with our name, credit card numbers, date we signed up, and SCREEN SHOTS OF OUR DOWNLOADS (proving we had an account). They had also completely deleted our billing history. Complete scam.

Adobe Stock will charge you month after month. If you don't use your credits they will accrue up to 120 assets. If you don't want to keep paying the monthly fee, you're out of luck. You cannot download the assets.

Don't bother. Take hours and hours to wade through terrible 90's clip art worthy images and when you find one that's okay it is 100% always every time going to be "premium" aka around $300.00 haha. Total scam and waste of my day. Fingers crossed I can cancel before I get stuck paying like everyone else who's written a review here *holds breath*...

Adobe lures you in to a full year subscription, but since I was a couple of days late with my cancellation they put me up on a full year subscruption, where my only option was to pay a big cancellation fee. Bad scummy practices which I never thought I would see from a large prolific coorperation like this.
