Yes I would think twice before using this company. Scheduled the initial appointment with the mechanic Francisco Garcia for 8am today. Did not get a message from him until 11pm the night before. I understand it was going to be cold outside in the morning. So I had clicked the link to reschedule the appointment for later on in the day when it was the warmest seeing they had openings for 3pm. Waited, waited, waited, waited. At 5pm sent him a text asking him if he canceled again? No answer so I called the main number to get another mechanic. I guess he is a one man band here in Austin TX for this company, His next availability was the following week to replace my battery. Can't wait that long. So if you need service you are better off finding another solution. This company had poor communication and poor customer service.
Despite repeated attempts by me and the "Your Mechanic" mechanic – the warranty dept will not respond to e-mails, phone calls or these posts. The original shocks on my car lasted over 10 years without a problem, but the mechanic said my car should get them replaced. The shocks put on by Your Mechanic did not last even close to the 12,000 miles. WHY WON'T YOU HELP ME?
Several issues with this appointment. If I have a set appointment, they should at least reach out beforehand and communicate that. My appointment was at 1 PM, I had to reach out to him for an update, and he then texted me saying he would be an hour and half late. Pretty disrespectful. I asked if it could be fixed today, he seemed to not want to help at all. It seems like a waste of $80. He looked at it for less than 10 mins, and then emailed me a quote for $500 (but the $80 i already paid, doesn't go towards the amount of course). Won't be using the service again
I scheduled an appointment with Your Mechanic to come out and replace the belts on my '02 mazda protege. Had to wait weeks for the appointment and when the day finally came, the mechanic gave us a call to ask a few questions. Come to find out, because we had a mechanic friend try to replace the belts prior to the appointment, we were completely DENIED SERVICE! This is so scummy and under handed in my opinion because they know they will lose customers if they told them this information when the appointment was scheduled! I will never call these people again. In fact, I'd scrap my car before calling them to work on it.
I scheduled an alternator replacement on December 17,2020. The earliest appointment I could get was today ( 12-22-2020) at 9a.m. I was fine with everything until 8:18 this morning when I receive an email saying Andrew couldn't make it and cancelled. When I called to look further into it. They said he isn't going to make and I could rescheduled or cancel. I said I would like my car fixed today at 9am like we agreed on. The mechanic cancelled NOT me. So I'm watching my card making sure they don't charge me with a cancellation fee because Andrew their mechanic cancelled. Andrew said he tried to contact me but I don't believe that because I received a message from him this morning so why didn't I get the one from yesterday that he supposedly sent because he is a liar. If this company wants to last get DEPENDABLE MECHANICS. Be PROFESSIONAL. It is more than an inconvenience to cancel 42 minutes before an appointment. They never offered for anyone else to come fix it today. They mess up on their part and just want you to reschedule. NO I don't have move time to waste on this suspicious "business". I will be reporting this to BBB.
Book an appointment today for 12:30pm I noticed that my appointment was for inspection only. So I called to see if the inspection included repairs, but they don't. 84?! For an exhaust inspection. So while Im calling to cancel at 9:00am my scheduled mechanic texted me that if I cancel an hour before the appointment there is no charge. LIES! Call them an they charged me $29 for literally nothing! DO NOT! Use this overpriced scam of a company. You have been warned!
After calling, giving my address 5/6 times, and letting the person know I lived in Macon now, not the Atlanta area. We made the appointment for Thursday then someone called later to cancel it stating that they don't have a mechanic in this area. This is why I stressed where I lived now and they all seemed to "understand" and even told me there was a problem in the past and that is why they were not coming out to this area. So now I want to know how they all are going to honor the warranty on this alternator? This is ridiculous. The customer agent on the phone went around in circles just to get information from to make this appointment just so they can call and cancel it. I see on their warranty page that if you are out of the service area, they would choose a mechanic for you to go and reimburse you if its indeed the part that they replaced but I am really feeling like they don't like they don't have any intention to honor their work. This is in no way against the mechanic that worked on my car, he was excellent but this company has some shady practices. If you are in the Macon area, Dels is great. My spouse uses them and if these people don't honor this warranty, I already have them on stand by. They actually honor their work.
Appointment was scheduled for Sunday at 12:15. On the Friday prior, received a message that the appointment was cancelled because the "customer provided incorrect address/contact information." I emailed and called the company to inform them that the information I sent WAS accurate. I scheduled another appointment for the same time and day. On Saturday, I received an email reminding me of my scheduled appointment.
On Sunday morning at 9:50, the mechanic sent a message that he would not be able to make the appointment because he was out of town. This message was on the website. I did not received an email, text, of call so of course I did not receive the message!
I called the company at 1:00 to inquire. Was told that the appointment was cancelled on Friday because the mechanic would be out of town. I complained that the message he left in the system made it appear that I provided incorrect information, when the fact was that HE was out of town!
Mechanic called me shortly afterwards and said he would be by later that Sunday, at 6pm. At 6:45pm, I sent him a text inquiring about the appointment because he was a no-show. He called me to say he was on the way, but still a long ways off. He asked if we could reschedule the appointment for the following day, Monday, at 4pm. Reluctantly, I agreed.
Monday at 4pm... NO SHOW! NO CALL, NO TEXT, NO EMAIL... NOTHING! Absolutely will not and cannot recommend this company.
I had scheduled a brake service and even though it's a local mechanic you still have to wait a week for them to come to your home. Well a week later and an hour 20 minutes before my appointment my mechanic called me and told me to change my appointment to next week. Did not even look at my car or care to come out and check it. This is $#*!ty service. To wait a week then be told you need to reschedule is the definition of terrible customer service.
If there was an option for no stars, I would give it that rating. I booked a basic oil change an replacement of fitters for my BMW X3, and right away was charged. The appointment was to be four days later. The morning of my appointment, I got a text that the mechanic was unavailable, and I needed to pick another time, from available options, which I did. I then received another text asking me to pick another time, and got another text to reschedule.
When I contacted customer service, I was told it was a part issue... unavailable filter. I asked to speak to a supervisor, as that seemed to be a basic part. I was told I'd get a return call. When I did, I was told it was not their fault. That parts take time to get there. That they don't attempt to get the parts until the appointments are booked. I asked why they don't have oil filters available for the vehicles that they claim to service. She gave me the excuse that it's customary to have delays, and was exceptionally rude.
In addition, they charged me for the appointment at the time of booking. The supervisor said it was because I used their Apple Pay option. That since I was being rude, which I was not, they were cancelling the appointment, and I " would eventually get the money back to [my] account. "
Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend them.
I tried to schedule an appointment four different times, and each time my mechanic canceled due to a "personal emergency." For the fifth time I tried to reschedule, he was no longer available in my area. All this took place over a month. I am not convinced this is a real company, and if they are, it is poorly run. I wish I could give them ZERO stars.
Approached YouMechanic via email regards replacement of my Window Motor/Regulator Assembly for my 2000 Mercedes Benz CLK 320 Cabrio. I received a quote Dealer Price $1296. 00, Your Price 1024. 10. Part(s) amounted to $815.76.
After I did not respond for a few days, they offered a discount of $100. In the meantimeI made inquiries at MB of Fort Myers. The new complete assembly costs $585.75. However the part was not in stock anywhere as it had been discontinued many years ago. I emailed YourMechanicfor details of the Part(s). I got no response. Then I questioned whether the part(s) were new or used. Response: We only use quality parts that meet or exceed OEM (original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, in other words not new. I got the part on Ebay from a reputable dealer $220.00 incl. Shipping, the MB had a low milage of *******. Fortunately I did not accept the shady deal. The complete part will be replace for $ 285.00 Labour. Buyer beware and do not get ripped off
I paid $89.99 to get this so called company to tell me word for word what i told them my issue is. Now they said i need to pay them $1200 to get what fix? They never said, nor tried to repair it. Don't give them your hard earn money. They are scammers, doing a time where money is hard to come.
I called them because of a dead battery. The mechanic said I also need a tire rotation. I agreed and paid for the service. However the tires were not put back on correctly and now the car shakes/shimmies. When I called customer service the agent said he did not have the authority to give me a refund and said that I could not speak to someone who did, they would have to call me. It is now THREE WEEKS later, no call, no refund, no correction!
Please avoid these car quacks, I wish I had.
I have used this company for simple jobs like oil change four times. In a three out of four times, I had terrible experience. The only reason I have been using this company is the convenience of getting stuff done while I am at home.
In May I had One of their mechanics to change oil and do tire rotation, this was on Friday. The car was working well before oil change. The first time I used my car after it job done was on Monday (2 days fromthe oil change), it did not work at all, same guy came back (based on my request to get someone to fix it), he did his diagnostics, he told me he fixed something that cost me few hundred dollars, he also recommended changing the battery and a sensor. When I complained to his manager (as the damage was done by their mechanic), he completely took the side of his mechanic and the blame fell on my old 2009 car, stating diagnostics support their opinion that it is not their mistake!
As I did not learn my lesson from that experience, I got them to change the oil again couple of days ago (10/1/2020), I also requested a tire rotation.
A bolt or certain piece was broken off the tire and the guy/their mechanic admitted he did it. PS: That guy told me the car is working just fine and that the battery and everything is actually fine which contradicts the prior guy who wanted me to change these things!
Again when I escalated to get someone to fix the broken part (caused by their mechanic) the same manager contacted me and again the blame fell on my car, stating that the part was old and rusty. Amazingly five months earlier in May, their mechanic did the tire rotation without any problem, When I told her that manager how come there was no rust five months ago, he told me (literally) let's talk about what happened this time not about what happened five months ago!
So to make it simple, I would advise AGAINST using your mechanic (if you want to avoid unnecessary costs and repairs). They have complete disregard to your concerns, even if they cause the damage (absolutely no commitment or accountability).
My mechanic was over an hour late. He text me prior, so fine whatever. He changed my back break pads and rotors. He dripped something all over my driveway, that won't come out. That's fine. You're working outside of a garage, it happens. What's not fine is that my tire pressure light, traction control light, and antilock breaks lights were all on when he finished. None were on prior. I tried contacting customer service. They responded to one email and ignored the other 5 I sent. I tried contacting the mechanic from the number he text me on and never got a reply. I had to take my car into a shop. Come to find out there wasnt enough brake fluid and a sensor was broken. What i "saved" using this company, i spent fixing their mess. Not worth it.
My second time using them. The 1st time the mechanic was changing spark plugs and he damaged the casing trying to replace a seal. I had to pay for his mistake.
The 2nd time I had a transmission guild service and before the mechanic got started he said it was going to take him 1 and a half hours to do it. I was quoted it would only take an hour. The next day the transmission was leaking a lot so I talked to Sam at the warranty and he said I he to put $85.00 down for the mechanic to come back out and inspect it.
They don't stand by their warranties!
I am filing a complaint against Mr. Transmission on 7315-Hwy 105 Beaumont Tx ******* and the phone number is *******900. Took my car their on August 11,2020 for air conditioner repair, but when we picked up the car on August 13,2020 they cracked my windshield and would not repair it, offer to pay for repairs, and refused to tell me what happened to my window. They fix the air conditioner but they didn't tell us about the crack. My husband found it. The original manager was on vacation and the fill said oh a rock most of hit it. Theirs nothing when can do until manager comes back from vacation. My car was parked by their employees in the Dollar General parking lot, so they should not have had it over there and should be responsible for it. They look like they drop a wrench on my window, They should not messing with my window because I went there for an air conditioner repair. The next week they manager, Levin, said they could not do anything and that anything could have happened. The home office person, Alicia, did not do anything and I said they could have viewed the cameras, but she said they did not have one. They were all very rude and this is poor customer service because both them never called us back or refuse to fix my window, Now, I have to pay for a new window because it cracking and is in the drivers view front. I would like them to pay or reimburse me the money for a new window. The window was not cracked when I arrive at the auto shop. The also, refuse, or didn't offer a claim form for the damages. Please, help me get full compensation to pay for damages.
On a Monday, they arrived and the mechanic said he wouldn't change my spark plugs until he checked with management. He rescheduled my follow up on Wednesday at 1:00. On Tuesday I received a text reminding me the Mechanic he would be there at 1:00 to replace the spark plugs.
At 5 minutes until 1:00, I received a text saying management had decided They Wouldn't do the work so they were a no show, and cancelled my appointment... yet, they charged me $29.99. I took the car in for repairs at a nearby garage that week with no problems. I have called 5 times asking for the $29.99 to be removed from my credit card. They give me the run around. I call and ask for management to call me, but no one returns my calls. I'm going to have my credit card company remove the charges, and let them deal with this company. Don't Don't Don't deal with this unprofessional crooked company. They wouldn't do my work, yet charged me... for what? A nearby garage thought it was a pretty easy job! Can you spell Scam?
I scheduled an appointment with them over 2 weeks ago. The day BEFORE the appointment, I get a text message at 7:30 PM to tell me that they were shutting down for a week due to COVID. That was fine until the new scheduled date. I get a text from the mechanic on the MORNING of the appointment less than 1 hour before he was SUPPOSE to arrive to tell me he's not coming because it's raining at his house and that he wasn't going to fix my car. What does it mean to me that it's raining at his house? The location of my car wasn't going t be impacted by the rain AT ALL. I told the mechanic that I didn't see rain in the forecast in MY area. He then sent me a screenshot of a weather map. Needless to say, I WAS RIGHT! It didn't rain not one drop! I honestly feel like the mechanic had no interest in repairing my vehicle. He's NOT a meteorologist!
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
Answer: Good call. They're not touching anything of mine ever again!
