I stayed at a Wyndham hotel and I'll share photos from the experience. I was injured due to a safety issue with tub water leaking onto the bathroom tile. Wyndham's response has been horrible.
Booked two king bed rooms on line. On arrival both rooms had been given to people who walked in. No refund or comp was given or allowed by their policy!? We had to stay or lose money, we stayed in two rooms with full beds FOR THE SAME PRICE we booked the king rooms on-line (BS). Never to return, the location was Tifton GA. Old, dirty, pool closed (green algae filled) etc. Worst customer treatment ever and member of Wyndham Rewards wasn't worth a damn thing except a higher price than other sites advertised for same room. Date of stay was 07/16/22. Confirmation #s *******ED******* / 42. I will no longer use Wyndham Rewards or their hotel chains!
I cannot believe how dirty & neglected these hotels taken over by Wyndham have become! I stayed at a days inn last night…smell of smoke, refrigerator and microwave missing from our room, holes in ceiling, shower curtain reeks of smoke and supposed to be all non smoking, didn't do breakfast as stated when made reservation! Also stayed in a americinn and the pool was open and literally had the pool floor and stairs covered in fungus! I took pics it was so disgusting! The beds and pillows in both places were uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy! The carpet reeks of pet! DO NOT STAY IN THIS CHAIN THEY DO NOT CLEAN OR MAINTAIN THEIR PROPERTIES!
In Wyndham websites, you search PET FRIENDLY and a few resorts pop up in a given area.
When you make reservations it turns out, they do not take pets therefore they are NOT pet friendly. What they are saying is they take SERVICE animals. Then why don't all of the hotels take service animals and not a few select ones? Doesn't make sense. Either your pet friendly or your not.

Outstanding staff and facility. Chardanele was working the front desk the first day of my stay and she had all the answers to my questions. She was superb in her willingness to help and just a delight to talk with. I was so impressed with her personality and friendly smile. She did not have what I was looking for but she gave me other options and made sure our stay was memorable. The reason for our stay was a reunion of Sailors that served on a submarine. The facilities were outstanding and the staff overall were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning was a welcome addition and made the day start off on the right foot. Chardanele and the hotel staff are very professional and friendly. My wife and I are retired and travel all over the United States staying in hotels over 25% of the year. I look forward to coming back to Wyndham Riverfront and staying there in the future.
Wyndham is a disgusting company! Not only are their hotels trash but so are their employees. A/C loud and not blowing cool air work, bugs crawling all over, cockroaches on the floor.
Got a room at the LaQuinta 801 Liberal Street Dalhart Tx and was overcharged as were the people i talked to at breakfast the next morning. Price gauging for late night weary travelers i travel a lot and will not be staying at any of the chains hotels nor will we let anybody we work with stay at them plus tv would not change channels unless right up on the tv i would rather give my money to Paris H
Went to Sealife in San Antonio. We were told we could watch a 3 min video on Wyndham hotels and get a discount on tickets and riverboat ride tickets. WHAT A FAIL THAT WAS! Lied to us the whole time. It was 108 that day and I will never get that time in the morning back. They are slimy sales people.
Had an issue with my stay at a Wyndham LaQuinta and when I talked to corporate of Wyndham I was told it wasn't their problem. They said the hotels are privately owned and to take it up with the management of the hotel I stayed at. Really? Never stay at a Wyndham hotel, LaQuinta, Days Inn, or any others
Room was filled with old dirty furniture! Service on front desk was unprofessional! Will never stay at a Wyndham hotel again! Troy, Michigan is terrible!
I have had several bad experiences in Wyndham Hotels. Cleanliness and over charging. Corporate will do nothing about it. My advice is stay away from anything that has the Wyndham name on it.
Traveling Romulus Mi. And Ocala Fl. Properties wete filthy and broken. Switched rooms 6 times. Management doing a horrible job.
Stayed recently at AmericInn in Moline, Ill. First mistake. However, I stayed there three years ago, and it was adequate. No such experience this time. Let me first say, the room itself was satisfactory, despite the heavily inflated weekend price. In addition, no internet, no attendance from 11 to 7. The worst part of the experience, however, was no one was at the desk at checkout. A basket had been set out with a sign informing the guests to put their key in the basket. With no official check out, I knew my security deposit would not be removed. Checked my bank statement and, sure enough, they charged me for the whole thing. Of course, no one answered the phone when I called. Also, another thing against Wyndham, is there deplorable customer service. I was given a resource number and told this would be referred to the general manager. That should have been cleared up right there and then on the phone. So, as far as I'm concerned, all Wyndham hotels are a sham. At the very least, they could prove me wrong by making this right. I realize my experience may not be indicative of other Wyndham Hotels, but until this situation is resolved, in my mind, they're all the same.

I have reached out to Days Inn and Wyndham Rewards 4 times in the last month and have received ZERO resolution! Next step, after posting my story on EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA SITE, will be to go to my local media and expose these thieves for what they truly are. I have several contacts/connections to mainstream news media and will be telling my story to them. I will also be contacting the BBB to alert them to the questionable actions of this hotel chain.
Here is what happened:
Bag of garbage left in middle of my room. When I brought it up at front desk, nobody seemed surprised and nobody cared. NO apology or explanation given.
Staff does the minimal amount of work to still be considered working. Nobody was ever at front desk. Requests for any kind of service had to be made multiple times before anything was done staff is lazy. Manager is a sarcastic prick who mocked me and my concerns and finally and most disturbing of all is that a staff member CALLED ME A LIAR TO MY FACE.
Had a reservation, confirm late check-in. Arrived at La Quinta south Charlotte North Carolina and were told upon arriving they were sold out our reservation was not valid
What was not in working order:
Business center, room heat, hair dryer, towel bar.Also, old stained linens, gross tub, homeless people in lobby.
What was good- our housekeeper (Monica).
I am writing this to say very unhappy with their reservation phone system. We booked a stay at Edmonton Alberta for two nites I asked agent if this was Canadian Dollars and was told yes it is when got bill I was charged in US funds phoned support line and let them know I received a Email saying they listened to call and agent said it was Canadian funds I have contacted Support a few more times and last conversation agent said I would hear from support by Wednesday still no response I also sent invoice for charges still no answer very dissatisfied with Wyndham, at this point it has cost me time and also $66 overcharged.
I had the worst experience ever, from the night clerk who was playing video games on the company computer and being ignored for 5mins, he graciously let me in after hours when I could see him through the outside doors to him putting the phone down and saying I $#*!ing knew it? What you knew I'd interrupt your video games or that I actually had reservations, he put me in a room with the freeway outside my window due to how empty the motel was, I complained to corporate the next day, we had emails back and forth which was looking promising to rectify this stay but then I had went through Expedia and they washed their hands of taking responsibility to the lack of customer service... DONT EVER STAY AT ANY WINDAHM HOTELS! It to mention the customer service during the continental breakfast that was like a ghost town?
Nasty, dirty, smelly place. It has roaches EVERYWHERE! So sad. My son couldn't sleep because there is too much roaches. The service is horrible. Don't come here!
Answer: A little of both... Beware. Only use cash... NEVER give them your credit card or debit card! They stole $50.oo dollars from me... and I proved it... but they don't care and they won't give it back. Other problems too... like broken stair cases with yellow crime tape wrapped about them. Don't go there!
