Product is garbage and customer support is non existent. Web design is so limited that that you will be forced to pay for "professional" help to make up for poorly designed interface. Just try talking to a human when you need help. Help center is a labyrinth. Do not waist your time or money and don't associate yourself with this circus. Would provide proof of purchase but Wix email with invoice contains a dead link. Par for the course.
What a pain in the $#*! this company is! They have ZERO customer care. Wait time to maybe get a return call back is over two weeks! All glitz, bling and glam and they don't give a rat's behind about their customers. They are only interested in separating you from your money. The Star rating system needs to include 'Negative Stars'.
After building a website with Wix, I found that is a very complete tool for developing websites. You should have some knowledge before using it before using it, but it is not necessary, the website will help you if you have any trouble, but there are also many functions that require some experience. You can also have access to many amazing tools for organizing stuff like links, images, videos, etc. You can also upgrade to more functions by using the Pro mode. But in general, it is a very good option if you want to make your own website.
I was launching a new sight and heard using Wix is easy. I bought into that "drag and drop" bull$#*!. When trying to upgrade to premium, they put my account on frozen for nearly two weeks now. Contacted two customer service but still haven't got my issue resolved. Imagine if they do that to your customer, you'd lose your business. I'm searching for another web hosting. Stay away from Wix!
Stay Away! Built a website and bought their premium package. After a year I no longer had a need, but instead of cancelling my account Wix renewed me for another two years and wouldn't let me off it when I discovered their charge on my credit card 24 days later.
Contacted their customer service and they were not helpful at all.

Extremely poor service, website builders are too limited, no wat for any serious SEO for businness. Google robot will always skip websites built on wix.
And when time comes you realise the wasted money time and effort wix has no clear instructions on how to move your domain, website and mailbox away.
Customer support just cherry on the tart, too slow and fuzzy responses, promised to escalate to relevant department when simply asked to release the mailbox so I can use it right with Google.

Really poor service and business practice. Decided to close down the website after 3 months as it never appeared on a google search, thought it reasonable that I might receive something back from the £145.50 paid up front but no. What a great way to make money Wix... take the money and run.
Wix is the most frustrating company I have ever had to deal with. When you need help fast forget it with this company, they make it impossible to get assistance.
Several times I received no call backs, and another time it took them 4 days to respond. The phone number online is a circle leading back to the support page. It should be called lack the lack of support page.
There was a credit card issue and their answer to that was just to cancel my site without any communication.
Their site creation is incredibly limiting stay away from WIX!
Wix was charging me multiple times a month. Fees was not consistent. After i called a cancel my accounts. They started charging again months later from my credit card that i used years ago for one time purchase only. That's stealing. Who needs internet scammers when you have wix.
Before using this site, which, I will admit, creates beautiful websites, check through their help and support areas. Notice: No customer support phone number, no ability to quickly find a way to submit a ticket with a question, click on the customer support chat which is not working or tells you that they are closed for more than 12 hours a day.
I work on my websites on nights and weekends... I am a small business owner. This is what most small business owners say. ZERO SUPPORT during these times.
It should be easy then, to submit a support ticket... but no, I have to click through several help articles before a tiny line at the bottom article appears asking if I'm not finding what I am looking for.
I prefer, but don't require 24/7 support. But, at least make it easy for me to submit my questions so I can get an answer within a few days.
The wix idea seems great in paper but to actually host to this type of website is a horror not sure why my company even wasting moving our old good website to this nightmare from pointing to dns to managing website seems horrible. Not to mention a customer service officer with no clue what they're product all about. You might better chat in a mirror to resolved your issue. I have to google for hours for the first issue now I had another one and so simple without using this wix.
Wix could be the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We built our online business with them after all that work were stuck with them. It is impossible to get a human being on the phone. Their response time is terrible. I have a string of emails with the same issue but 10 different people from Wix responding with different solutions. For example, verifying my business for payment was so frustrating. I am moving off their platform as soon as possible. Do not use them - the customer service will ruin you.
I have spent 2 days trying to get CS to tell me WHY my website that I created is not online and they say it is. Scam - if you want it online you have to keep paying to get exposure otherwise its just on your computer screen. Their ads are so overwhelming... I am so angry I spent 2 weeks creating a web template which is great but its all mine now. CS says read this and read that and nothing in instructions works right. I cancelled the fee I paid Don't waste your money... please - look elsewhere!
Beware! Shocking warning! When you use the export/ import function to make any quick minor changes WIX deletes ALL your product variant photos when uploading! In my case this was 1411 images. Phoned support and they say yes that happens, if you make very minor changes then import them you loose all your connected variation photos and they seemed not bothered when I say I now have to spend possibly 2 months re-uploading 1411 images manually! Complete madness and there is no warning that this will happen even though they admit this is not good for customers. In short, website was fine, now it is totally broken!
Wix just renewed my premium account and will not refund the coming year, even though I asked for a refund and cancellation in the first 30 days! $384 is not cheap just so I can have no advertisement from Wix. I'll never recommend Wix and also it's hard to use. Two thumbs down for WIX!
I cancelled my account with wix before it was due for the automatic annual renewal. I received an email to confirm that it had been cancelled. I was then charged $165 USD to my credit card. Wix refused to return the money to me with no reason given. I could not get it back through my bank either, probably as a didn't realise until some time after the money was taken. I was not able to contact anyone at wix, just got a standard email response that my request for a refund had been denied. I live in Australia so it seems there is nothing more I can do about it. I AM FUMING. I wish I had read the reviews before I gave them my credit card details. I hope this review will stop others from using them. They are crooks.
As part of the premium plan, Wix was supposed to become the registrar for one of my domains. They never transferred the domain from the old registrar, and it lapsed. When the website went dark, I tried to contact them to get the problem corrected.
At this point I discovered that it is absolutely impossible to reach Wix customer service for any reason. There is no email, no phone. They have a chat service, but it is manned by bots that can't answer even simple questions.
I asked for a refund, since they didn't provide the service they advertised. Never got one.

Wix USED to have a great team, quick, professional and efficient. Now I cannot even contact them. The number either doesn't work or if I got lucky to have it ring, I got a message that the office is closed during their limited business hours (Monday-Thursday). It's been weeks that I've been trying to get in touch with them to no avail. Their site is full of angry people complaining, pleading for a call back.
I have this account for years and I never could figure out if one day I can have a website with no issue. The editor is disaster and no one will be responsive. It's such a shame to have a customer visit my website. It's totally missed up without any reason. I am so tired to get back to this again and they charge me $500 for an add I never requested.
No customer service Friday Saturday or Sunday... Wow what a joke. I just did a website yesterday, Thursday, cant figure out how to add my own domain, wanted my website working for something this weekend. But not with this garbage company because they won't be bothered on a Friday. Crap company------------------

The recording first said, that "due to call volume, i would have to call back when they next opened on Monday (feb 13th!)" which means that they haven't changed their answering message for days! Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
