! They allowed an ex-employee to assign our HOA community website domain to an unauthorised person. Caused us to have the domain to be locked. After 2 weeks if runaround we find Wix has a policy to never change NS CODES. So our community web address our community uses to pay our dues is now locked for 2 months and our community has no idea where yo ho to pat thier annual assessments. As for the website: it could only hold up to 20 pictures. During the panic to find a way to save our domain they made us buy 3 years more on the domain saying that would unlock the problem. Another lie
Now anyone willing to learn the simple web site designer that wix offers can build a great website with Search Engine Optimization and mobile capabilities. All of the people who hate this wix.com that I have met are in the business of charging customers a huge monthly charge for "Maintaining" your web site. Web site design and maintenance companies are going to go the way of travel agents (unless they already use wix.com)
This company resorts to fraudulent billing. Are they so lame that they can't make money the legitimate way, by providing good services people actually want to pay for? I turned off auto-renew well before the subscription expiration, yet they still refuse to refund money. I have no respect for companies that steal money, rather than provide a valuable service, with good customer service. The depressing side of humanity, bad karma for these people.
Auto renewed website without notice, refused to refund. No way of reaching customer service at *******034. When you do automated message in several languages mentioning to go to the website for help. SCAM!
WIX will go bankrupt. Matter of time!
WIX is a criminal shady company doesn't deserve any trust. Reason no. 1: they silently renew your domain subscription on their own without your consent. No. 2, they suspend your domain immediately when you request a refund to protect your rights. No. 3, they register your domain automatically for an extended duration with the secret renewal, that means your domain is locked by Wix, you cannot buy your domain anywhere else during the extended year. This comes to the evil part, when you talk to them, you will be blackmailed for paying the ownership of your own domain so that you can reactive it.
We were very excited to get started with wix and be able to take credit cards and payments online. They were very helpful at first, until we got going. After 3 months of getting prompt payments, they started to randomly hold back payments for no apparent reason. The times they held the payments got longer and longer until they stopped paying all together. They owed us over $5,000.00 at one point, causing late fees to be assessed by our vendors as well as putting the other small businesses we deal with into hardship while waiting on wix to get it together.
NEVER use this site for e-commerce or business needs.
Flat out the worst, if you just want headaches and they're around, and a big bill for a premium "package and zero service you've gone to the right place, otherwise find anyone else to build a site or whatever it is you need
I would give ZERO stars if available. They have a software that analyzes your emails and thousands of words that you cannot use in your emails to your customers. No financial, technical, medical wording is permitted and there is nothing you can offer for sale. When you call the customer service they do not help to resolve a problem, they say they do not know what causes the denial of email campaign. Stay away from WIX! Go to WordPress.
I joined Wix about a year ago and they had good, responsive live customer support. That was then. Now they have ZERO live customer support and you can't get a call through and get a live person on the phone any more. BEWARE. If you use Wix, you better not need help because your help won't come on simple issues for days on end and that's only if you happen to be available when they call you back days later. Something has changed at this company and they no longer help people except through emails. I recommend you DO NOT USE WIX if you are hosting or designing business related websites. Go use other similar services. Wix has gone down hill fast in terms of customer service. It will take you just as long to get solutions for your problems as it does to design your website. It's ridiculous. Wix used to be good, but they are no longer reliable to me and clearly to many customers who have this same problem.
I have hosted several sites on WIX for several years without problem and have had no need to contact help. However, a new website requires connecting to an existing domain which has failed to happen. No one to contact.
Very disappointed. Otherwise, the site builder is pretty well developed.
Wix took $168 from my credit card and refuses to give me a refund. I'm so sad, I can't afford this and customer service was no help at all. The website builder is actually pretty limited even with the more expensive plans and I'm so frustrated that no one is helping me.
Beware if you intend to add online transactions to your WIX site. When my site was created, I had no issues with deposits or transfer payments to my business checking account. Two months later I was informed that my site was not in compliance and I added several disclaimers using WIX templates. In the interim all deposits and transfer payments have been placed on hold. There is an advanced team that reviews for compliance and other matters, however you cannot talk to anyone directly on the team, so you communicate through WIX support and these customer service people can't even speak directly to the advanced team. Back and forth polite messages appear from WIX support but no real information is ever provided as to when my site will be approved for compliance. Very inefficient and a horrible customer service model. My overall rating is "1" but more appropriately should be "0."
Worked with a Wix person to change my sites domain. Smooth transition up until the "old domains" renewal came up. Because the old domain was not paid, I lost administrator rights to my website. They refuse to return the administrator rights back to me until I prove what the last 4 digits of whatever credit card I used from "3 years ago." I have many cards, many card #'s have changed. Why can there not be some other method to identify WHO I AM!
After trying Simple Site which is magic but to simple, Web.com stole my money with no support etc, I am now at a stage where I do not know what to do. Private companies took my money and run, so at the moment I just use Wix for a free ride to have some type of referral address on the web. Going to try Webstart and see after all the bad reviews if any good. Will also just try a free ride until I am happy.
My auto-renew was turned off, but my subscription renewed anyway, without any email notification stating that I was going to be billed or that I had been billed. That's $220 for the "premium plan" and $47 for the domain. I asked for a refund but was denied even though it's only been about three weeks since it renewed.
Wix.com charged me one year after I do not even work for the company where I used Wix.
I have received a big yearly charge but DID NOT receive an email of confirmation or invoice, nothing.
Luckily I have noticed the charge.
Also it is hard to contact them. But you can always tell your grief to the chat bot. WARNING!
One charge refunded, one more to go!
I didn't know how terribly bad they were until they automatically charged my credit card without my authorization for an inactive website renew. I called them the following day and several times but they don't pickup the phone, just a machine tell you to reach out to them via a fake website. IS IT SERIOUS? Which type of company is that? They should be out of business, I'm so seriously upset.
I write a little garden blog for friends and family and I loved Wix - easy to use and it looked great! But sadly no more - I have reached my storage limit. I read up and deleted photo files and old blogs and resolved to use much smaller data on images but no luck the data I have used has not moved at all. So it's goodbye and back to WordPress. I am not their target market so I'm sure they don't care but it is a shame.
When you get to the end after paying all the fees that pop up, you have to be technically sufficient to know how to prove you own your website with the Google search console. When you get to that point, wix does not offer helpful pointers like they did while you were adding up a couple hundred dollars in fees. Basically, your site won't be found on Google searches.
Wix is absolute garbage. My business number has been hacked, and it is repeatedly calling random people over and over, harassing them. They then called me back to tell me to stop calling, or they will report me to the authorities. I have notified Wix of this, and all they told me was to "block the numbers" or "purchase a new number."
First off, this is a serious security breach on Wix's end. How has someone gotten access to my business number, and is using it to call and harass people!? Second, I have been blocking the numbers, but more numbers keep calling me for 12 hours straight, leaving messages that my business line is harassing them. THIRD, I SHOULD NOT have to purchase another number! Are you kidding me, Wix?
This is impacting my business, my livelihood, and my source of income. Don't use Wix. They are completely unhelpful. They just take your money and disregard any concerns, especially serious ones.
Answer: There not bad, but they offer really poor customer Service skills. Doesn't matter how long you do business with them the only thing they care about is your money. So if you dont stay 100% on top of things on your end your screwed.

Answer: No no no
Answer: I've been trying them for days now, with no luck! The recording first said, that "due to call volume, i would have to call back when they next opened on Monday (feb 13th!)" which means that they haven't changed their answering message for days! Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..
Answer: Hi, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We'd like to assist you in resolving this error as soon as possible. Please contact us at support@wix.com for further assistance, or call us at 1-800-6000-949.
Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
Answer: Please don't. It's just a scam to take your money and give no service.
Wix has a rating of 1.3 stars from 653 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Wix most frequently mention customer service, credit card and premium plan. Wix ranks 149th among Website Builder sites.
