Anyone wanting to prosecute lets do it... this is fraud... theft... felony... they are doing it all over the place... did it to me also. Trying to get away with everything they can. So frustrating. Had I seen these reviews I would not have gone forward knowing they were not just screwing me but without morals and not by mistake screwing everyone they can get by... shameless. Lets sue for all they have. I just spent two days trying to remove a button from their $#*!ING WEBSITE BUILDER...

PAYOUT ON HOLD!
September 11, 2019

Wix holding my money hostage. I call wix billing team to ask them to refund two customer that bought from my website. Their answer was. "Sorry we can't do that" They literally telling me they will stealing money.

I have about $5,550.11 on hold with them. They still haven't pay me my money yet. They closed my account for no legit reasons. After I provided them will all the requirement documents as an individual, they still closed my account.

I fear that they going to use my personal information fro fraud.

Beware of Wix! I switched to wordpress because Wix does not quite give me the look I wanted for my website. I turned auto renew OFF two months before renewal was due. They still took the money off my credit card and then denied me a refund when I contacted them. Bad bad company!

The service is very slow they don't have phone support. They say they do but it is always closed due to high call volume. If your having a website issue they should be around to fix it ASAP these are people's businesses we are talking about. Probably the slowest customer service i have experienced in my life.

How do you do business that has 67% bad rating. I was on a monthly basis with them because I did not know how I would like them. They then charge me for a full year that I did not request. I am now doing my research which I should have done in the beginning.

Complicated

It's complicated where it can easily be simplified. It has the most useless tools and doesn't have any actually needed options. It's a bad save engine as well due to the fact I made a whole front page and it deleted by itself. Disappointed.

Wix is beyond awful and has the worst customer service I ever experienced.
I ran into a situation where I created 2 sites and only one was visible.
Wix admitted it was a bug with their software but did nothing to fix it or make both sites visible
I found a backdoor to get at the site but Wix would not allow me to connect the domain giving an error indicating I was not the site owner even the site details page showed I was.
Wix was totally unresponsive regarding my request for a refund and ignored all requests.
Do not sign up with them. You will be in a world of hurt!

Watch out! Don't sign up for Facebook ads through Wix! They overcharge you and when you end campaign and get a final receipt of charge you are charged original high amount. Confused? They confuse the consumer until it's too late and the charge can't be reversed. The billionaire company Facebook pockets the money and Wix gets a cut. That's untrue of wix having a better system of your product being searched and getting clicks from consumers!

Seriously, the worst. Just bad. Not good if you're looking to start your business sites, blogs, etc. And seriously, only 14 day refund policy? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I regret paying upfront for their year's worth of bull$#*!.

AVOID WIX!

We have been in contact with wix as we've had a huge sum of funds on hold for over a week now with no valid reason as to why this is occurring.

We have searched on the internet and discovered several people saying the exact same thing as us and all of this within the last few weeks. Why would they hold good people's money hostage?

After numerous messages back and fourth we now see they are buying time, don't intent to release our money and there is clearly something HUGE! Going on.

My best advice would be to avoid wix at all costs right now especially with everything happening in the world and if you currently have a wix account, move your website elsewhere before you also become a victim and have your money basically stolen by this company.

Use a better website builder like Squarespace or Shopify for e-commerce. For payments use Stripe or PayPal. AVOID WIX!

Horrendous service.

Their customer service is the bottom of the barrel and they purposefully make it difficult for you to contact them if you have a billing or technical issue. There is no warning when they'll renew your site and charge you, and claim they just didn't want your site to go down as an excuse to charge you. Other companies like Wordpress.com email you a heads up before they renew. It seems this is how Wix makes the majority of their money. It's unfortunate they cannot invest it in decent customer service.

I have had a small issue with the platform, and have been trying to get help from support. I have no way of reaching them through a ticket option, or quick online help. I cannot believe how pathetically bad this has been as the issue could be fixed with probably little effort. I volunteer for the organization that is using WIX and I can assure you, I tried everything I could to deter them. WIX - you are terrible and your support is even worse.

I definitely do not recommend.

Unresponsive!

I was delighted to have the opportunity to purchase premium "services"? I add the question mark because you pay your fee and forget about anybody at wix responding to your requests for assistance. In other words, pay but do NOT expect live help from wix.com. They will simply refer you back to their so-called "help pages" which are not helpful at all. NO SERVICE after the "sale"! Once you pay, you're "on your own". Then why purchase "services" if you get NO services? I asked for either my refund or HAVE SOME BODY CALL ME! Anybody want to guess which one comes through? I'd prefer the call and help, but frankly it does not appear that they want to waste their time with a paying customer. Very sad. Very disappointed.

They hide their customer service phone number on their website. Totally hard to reach, took me 4 hours just for someone to tell me that they will send out a message to the "right" department. I had no received a call back since then.
If I could I would give him no stars.

Breaking the law
May 15, 2021

Wix.com commits fraud on a daily basis. Check out the BBB site or any customer review site and read the horror stories. They parse your financial information and will charge you for services you do not want. They will refuse to refund you. Then, when you dispute the charge with your bank, Wix.com deletes your account and somehow wins the dispute by stating false policies. Their practices are against CA law. Not only are you charged for something you didn't want, they delete your account so they never even have to provide a service.

I recommend anyone who has been a victim of fraud by this company to reach out to any and all of California's consumer protection agencies. I will be pursing this on behalf of all of us. They need to be stopped.

Wix raised my recurring rate by over 400%, without any confirmation from me. When I saw it on my credit card and tried to cancel, they said it was too late. Their policy is to jack up your rates and not tell you, until you see it on your card. Absolutely the worst. No, the worst part is that their tools are so confusing and non-intuitive, I never even got my website working, and ended up not even publishing it. Hundreds of dollars later, the only lesson is NEVER USE WIX.

Poor Business Practices
December 23, 2023

Wix made a $510 unauthorized charge to my credit card account. I did not have my account set up for auto renew. This was a large amount to charge and I should've been sent a courtesy email to notify me of an impending charge. There was no way to contact customer service at Wix. Not a contact number to be found. I'm currently disputing the charge as fraudulent and had to cancel my card number to protect my account. Be warned before you consider doing business with Wix. They use deceptive business practices to capture your credit card info and make unauthorized charges. Defaulting a customer's account to auto renew should not be a legal practice.

I really like this one, what's so special about it is that you can create your own designs for your desired domain and that you can customize it whatever you want. You even get to choose your own site name with just a free trial. Nice one wix!

Try to navigate their site and get a live person...it will take you forever to figure it out and that's after over an hour of trying on an iPhone only to realize that you have to be on a desktop. GD their service sucks!

After one year decided not to renew the site. Turned Auto Renew Off at least 3 months in advance. Could not delete my credit card from the site - could only make changes to the card or enter a new card. That tells you right there that they are crooks. Low and behold Wix charged my credit card anyway. Needless to say I could not reach anyone via phone and had to send an email to the non-existent customer service. They answered back only informing me that my email had been received. After several emails back and forth they said that "the process" would issue me a refund. After 2 weeks I am still waiting for the refund and for them to cancel this miserable site and service. The only good thing about this is that my bank issued my refund and initiated an investigation to get the money back from Wix.
