I purchased a Whirlpool dryer on 8/16/21 and got an extended warranty through Lowe's Assurant. The has already stopped working. The factory warranty has expired and Assurant extended warranty only wants to pay me 500.00. Whirlpool and Assurant from Lowe's is trash. I'm currently out of a brand new dryer in less than 2 years. I just purchased a new house and don't have money for a new dryer especially if I just purchased it. MOD: WED49STBW1, SER: MA*******. I hope this helps someone from losing money like I just did.

Bought a top of the line washer less than a year ago, broken already and customer service is terrible and pretty much non-existent because they do nothing to help you. They outsource repairs with crappy third party companies (Premier Appliance in my area) that have no interest in really helping you out and try to charge you even if you're under warranty. The repair company cancelled my original appointment when I told them I was under warranty and wouldn't be paying anything. Had to wait 4 more days for another appointment, when the repair person came out he said I had to figure out how to drain it because they don't do that, said he had to order a part and left. I had to follow up to see what was going on and they said the part is back ordered. I've searched the part myself and have found several of them available. Meanwhile, 2 weeks later and I've still got a broken washer and no response from the repair company. Buyer beware, stay far away from Whirlpool products. I myself will never buy another Whirlpool product.
We built a new home and DR Horton was the builder. Because of that, Whirlpool was our only option for appliances. We have been in our home 14 months. We have had work on our washer and dryer within the first year. Even though we upgraded to the large washer and dryer, we were told by the repairman that King sized sheets shouldn't be washed in the washer? So, we have two king sized beds and every week, I am expected to go the laundromat to wash sheets, when I have a brand new washer and dryer. Our dishwasher is beginning to ruse near the top and our refrigerator has developed something that looks like a permanent water spot, though it is cleaned at least once a week. Our neighbors have had problems with their appliances as well. Needless to say, I have never owned more poorly made appliances. I would never buy Whirlpool brand again. Nor would I suggest this brand to anyone else. I have nothing good to say about my new appliances. The recording is the sound that our "fixed" washer makes with a small load.
Brought a refrigerator 1 year finish it's board complaint.there is no followup from sales team after register complaint. Company replace the product but they charge 4010 for new one. My question - your service team says board complaint and they charge the amount for board and replace it with new refridgerator. If it's board chage we can accept if they replacing it means it is complaint of compressor.right?

Bought a new whirlpool fridge about 6 months ago does not work. Through out food this is under warranty can't get service demand new fridge can't get that either, They took my money and sold me junk!
We bought a Whirlpool 2 in 1 top loader agitator in January 2023. It's not April 22nd and the sensor mode is stuck on "Done". Their service is abysmal at best. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM WHIRLPOOL! This is not the company it once was and it's quality is non-existent. I wish I did more research before I wasted my money.
11 months after we bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator from Lowes, the freezer started having problems and would not keep things frozen, which inturn the frigerator would follow. Deep frost controls went out and has been a horrible as we have to constantly empty out everything, let it defrost over 48 hrs and put everything back in. Warrenty under 12months doesn't cover that. Using a outside contractor, the part has been on back order for months. DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL!
Its been nearly 2 months since i have been following up with Whirlpool for the Washing machine issue. They convinced me to opt for AMC and when i encountered the issue after the AMC they refused to entertain it and the guy named Rahul from their side is actually 1 star, refusing to provide a solution. He is quoting the AMC policy and does not even know that they have never shared the AMC policy in the first place [unless its a sacred relic that he wishes to pass onto next gen workers at this poor brand].
Finally after nearly 60 days today they said they can refund the AMC, service my machine at full cost and then i shall buy the AMC [he seems to be from some other planet altogether].
Never Ever Opt for this WHIRLPOOL brand. Surprisingly at none of the platforms i saw them to be reviewed more than 3- not surprised now.
Waited a month for parts and then engineer came out and replaced every part of oven, he left and over tripped the electricity and smell coming from it, they didn't want to kmow
I purchased a water filter on their website, immediately after purchasing it. I realized it was the wrong one. I tried to go back into the order to change it and was unable to. Tried emailing and calling but the email was blocked and the phone calls didn't go through due to them being closed on the weekend. Called first thing Monday morning and was put on hold repeatedly, transferred over 9 times, and then hung up on by a super rude customer service rep. I then called back and was told i could not cancel or change my order because it had shipped. Even though they were closed over the weekend. I said when will it arrive and she said it didn't have a tracking number. I now have to wait to receive and call back to go thru the same horrible process over again. They were not only rude the first time when I called, their website doesn't allow any changes/exchanges to be made to your order, and it seems they go out of their way to be rude and unhelpful. Do NOT order from them, you will regret it.
My husband and I bought a brand new fridge/freezer at Menards. After about 3 weeks, the freezer started to make sputtering noises. We checked it and it wasn't freezing anymore, but the fridge was working still. We ended up calling customer service since we have a 3 year warranty on it and they said they were going to find someone to come out and look at it. The next day, we woke up to a fridge that was no longer working and over $200 in food wasted. We called again and were told that since we live out of Sioux Falls, they would have to find someone willing to come look at our fridge. However, the person they supposedly found "didn't feel like coming out." We keep getting the run around from customer service and were told we are to give them 7 business days to find someone to fix our fridge, if they don't, it gets passed on to a board where they decide what happens with our fridge. Of course this happened over Labor Day so now we have another weekend to wait. It has been a total of 3 weeks of this back and forth with customer service. I just want our money back. I could care less about this company and their terrible customer services and products. Do not buy from them!
I have never written a bad review for any company. It is not who I am. That said, my experience with Whirlpool has been so horrific, that I feel compelled to share. My fridge is less than a year old and the compressor has gone out. It has been 19 days and I have still not been able to get Whirlpool to honor their product. They keep pushing me further and further out. I do believe eventually they will replace or repair, however, they have buried me in customer support.
Example: They have a firewall between the people that write tickets and sympathize and the people that actually can help. I have been kind but direct, and hung up now at least once. I have spent hours on the phone, just to be told this is "escalated" to a priority team and they will get with you within 5-7 business days... except they have not. I call back and I am told 2 business days, yet nothing. Now, they are yet again telling me it will take 5-7 business days for the approval of the next steps of the "priority team" assessment.
Everyone has so "understanding" however no one is actually acted. Whirlpool needs to improve their customer service quickly if not they are going to see their customers disappear. I have already been able to get two people to avoid buying whirlpool products, I plan to warn more. Please Whirlpool get it figured out and start caring about your brand. It is 100% not what it was. You have lost me as customer.
Bad product and terrible customer service. I bought dishwasher 5/21. It worked only for one time I called the customer service they said they will send Technion who came three weeks later and order some parts, we had to wait three months for the needed parts. During that time my wife was washing dishes on hands even though she has some health conditions. I trayed with the customer serves to see if they can replace it with another one and I am willing to pay the difference if there is OR get my money back. Unfortunately, they refused to (very much they said put your head against the wall nothing you can do but wait and get this bad product) anyway the parts arrived after three months and two days, the Technion installed the parts and it worked for one time only and then stopped working with different code. The problem has not been solved still waiting for Technion and replacing it is not option. And soon the warranty expires before using it and I will stock with it. I made the mistake by fully paying for this dishwasher. I will never by from whirlpool again and DO NOT recommend to any friends or family. No the only option will satisfy me is replacing this dishwasher or get my money back, I prefer to get my money back because after four and half months of hard time I cant trust your product or service
I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine in February of 2022. Model number WTW5010LW0. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WASHER! Small loads medium loads large loads they all twist up and stop the machine and it refuses to work until you unplug and reset it. This washing machine is a piece of $#*! do not buy one ever!
We have a 9 month old whirlpool refrigerator that quit working, and whirlpool has nobody to service it in our area. It came in our brand new park model camper. They won't replace it or fix it. Junk
You cant keep it clean no matter what. It streaks, it smears, you have to use a razor, special cleaner and a soft cloth even after boiling water. Purchase something else.
Flawed design in electrical cord inside machine destroyed drum belt and destroyed the drum balance no help in repair didn't want to hear about it total loss of expensive machine!
Whirlpool front loader washer MOD WFW9620HBK0 leaks water and does not drain water after one year it has been repaired and it still leaks water and not drain. The Whirlpool front loader dryer MOD WED9620HBK2 heating element failed after one year and it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to dry a regular load. Whirlpool front loaders washer and dryer are horrible, I will never buy a whirlpool again. These models should be recalled as defective and me refunded. Whirlpool said they can't do that.
Answer: I've called 1st thing in the morning and gotten through w/in 12 minutes at other times have waited between 1 and 2 hours. You read that correctly and it's not an exaggeration. I've spoken w/ professional, empathetic CSRs and unprofessional ones and none with the authority to respond outside of a narrow script. Supervisor s will not talk to customers (even if the problem has not been resolved after 4 months.) Customer Service is the number 1 reason NOT to buy a Whirlpool product!
