We purchased a new dishwasher from Lowe's. On delivery they forgot the hose's. We drove to Lowes to pick them up. Finally we got our dishwasher hooked up. We ran 5 loads of dishes and water started pouring out the bottom. Called Lowe's and they stated that they just moved up there return policy to 48 hours because so many dishwashers were being returned. Called whirlpool. They sent someone out. He ordered the part it needed to be fixed. Now 2 months later and many calls I still don't have a dishwasher. Never ever! Buy a whirlpool or Maytag!
We bought our washing machine in March 2022. The first week in December we got an error code. I went through all the trouble shooting steps and they determined that service was needed. Service came out the next day and resolved the issue...or so we thought. Four days later, another code. We called service right away and they said it would be a week until they could come out. I rescheduled work so that I could be home for the appointment. The night before the appointment I received a message saying that they are canceling the appointment because they think they want to order parts. Next I find out one of the parts was back ordered. I called Whirlpool again and they said there is nothing they can do and it could take 3 weeks or more. They said they cannot replace the washing machine and so basically I have been without a washing machine for a month with no clear resolution as to when we will be getting it fixed. We have 5 kids, 2 which are twin 4 month olds, so on top of the $200 we have spent so far at a laundry mat we have also resorted to trying to hand wash thing when possible because it's hard to go to the laundromat with twin babies.
Washer broke (gear case) within 2 yrs of brand new purchase. Contacting Whirlpool was useless - I was ignored. Horrible product, terrible customer service! Avoid anything with Whirlpool's name on it.
Horrible company and horrible dishwasher. Takes 3 1/5 hours to wash a normal load of dishes and the dishes are still wet after the cycle. Whirlpool customer service is one of the most HORRIBLE companies I've dealt with and they care nothing about their customers. They said sorry but we're doing nothing to fix it. Ridiculous to pay this kind of money for a dishwasher that takes so long to run and doesn't dry your dishes. Their answer..."run hot water into the dishwasher first and after 3 1/2 hour cycle open the door to let them dry"? Really? $1000 dishwasher and I have to do these additional steps to have dry dishes? Customer service is a joke and you sit on hold for an hour every time you call. Had service call and codes showed fine so they refused to do anything about it despite the fact that it doesn't dry the dishes and I use rinse aid non stop in the machine. Asked to have another service tech come out for second opinion and that tech "consulted" with the first tech and that was considered the second opinion... no service call at all. This dishwasher was only couple months old when had the issues and they refuse to replace or fix anything on it so I'm now stuck with it and regular price on this machine is $1000.
In whole my life I never had this bad experience. The product - oven is poorly designed, the company doesn't care about people or their satisfaction at all. Never ever buy or even consider Whirlpool for your home appliances.
I bought new house and it comes with whirlpool appliances thats why i dont have receipt to show as proof, my problem is The door of my dishwasher just started to rust after 5 months. I contacted the facilities and stated my complaint under warranty. The technical duty came and he said that it s about cosmetic not mechanic problem Cosmetics warranty only 1 month. Its so stupid you bought new diswasher and getting rust in 5 months and they say warranty only for one month, I didn't do this myself. Olease stop to think that your customer stupid, btw its so hard to reach customer service on the phone live chat not helping a lot they direct you to call customer service
Don't bother! What a joke, worst machines I've come across. Working through multiple properties as a professional cleaner for Airbnb's these machines perform at the lowest possible standard. Dryer takes forever to dry, clothes constantly bunch up into tight balls no matter how many times they are shaken out, put in with a dry towel, or smaller loads. Don't waste your money! If I could give it negative stars I would.
Whirlpool customer service/support are almost non-existent.
I was on hold for almost 1 hour until Robin picked up the call. After that Robin simply stopped answering and she put me through the silence for the rest of the call.
So, you have to dial the number and wait another hour to reach another customer rep again.
No surprise why Whirlpool has 1 star reviews.
Such a mess and disregard for customers. Sad...
Brand new refrigerator that gave us troubles not even after a month. Ice maker quit working and now condenser going out. I have waited about 2.5 months for parts to come in and they have no idea when they will be in. Don't waist you money on this brand, you will regret it. We're out $3000. They will not make this right by replacing this lemon. Pretty much stole our money; terrible customer service.
Ordered a replacement part for my stove and the ones that arrived did not fit. Call for an exchange and the customer service is horrific. They do not do exchanges. Apparently I am supposed to be a mind reader and know the part # to my part CHANGED. Hence why what I ordered did not fit. Ridiculous, now I have to PAY to ship it back myself for a partial refund. For someone who has a house full of Whirlpool products I will NOT make the same mistake again and purchase from them in future. Definitely do not order ANYTHING from the website, their terms is ridiculous and a very fast way to lose a customer such as myself! Too many companies with good customer service to waste your $ on this crap. No wonder they are only 1 star! I would give 0 if it was an option.
If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a brand new whirlpool refrigerator and spent over 3k on it. The thing clicks so loud it will wake you up out of a dead sleep. I called for service and a tech came out and said the Freon line was tapping, so he ordered a "repair kit" for it. It was essentially a puddy to help dampen the noise. This haphazard approach didn't work, so I called whirlpool again. The tech came back out and contacted whirlpool while at my house. Whirlpool stated that this was normal operation. If this is normal operation, then why would they make a kit to fix it?!? At the end of the day, whirlpool won't do anything to rectify my problem. They seem content with manufacturing junk and have perfected how to dodge taking ownership of faulty equipment. Never again will I buy whirlpool, and I will do my best to tell everyone the same!
My less than one year old dryer has had many problems and the service tech has been here numerous times.
I purchased a compact washer with installation and haul away included. The terms of service explained it would be haul away of the old washer and installation of new machine. However their first visit the installer arrived and said 'I cannot install this.' When asked for an explanation, he called his manager and the manager told us a plumber was needed for the disconnect (they do not disconnect washers). We called Whirlpool and they apologized, stating they would send an email explaining their policies (never was sent). We called our plumber, he disconnected the machine, and also stated this was a simple installation. For the second visit, the installers came, hauled away the old unit, but still could not install the new washer. The installer said there was an issue with the piping and the previous installer should have noted this. There was no notations and Whirlpool service agents said nothing is submitted to them from installers. We are still without a washer and my family is unable to travel to the laundromat. Very terrible experience and strongly recommend seeking another company.
Its been nearly 2 months since i have been following up with Whirlpool for the Washing machine issue. They convinced me to opt for AMC and when i encountered the issue after the AMC they refused to entertain it and the guy named Rahul from their side is actually 1 star, refusing to provide a solution. He is quoting the AMC policy and does not even know that they have never shared the AMC policy in the first place [unless its a sacred relic that he wishes to pass onto next gen workers at this poor brand].
Finally after nearly 60 days today they said they can refund the AMC, service my machine at full cost and then i shall buy the AMC [he seems to be from some other planet altogether].
Never Ever Opt for this WHIRLPOOL brand. Surprisingly at none of the platforms i saw them to be reviewed more than 3- not surprised now.
Had to fix Fridge 3 times in 2 years. Paid in parts and labor already for what fridge cost. They wouldn't refund me more than $75. Bull $#*! while the ceo makes 15,000,000. Their condenser that I replaced broke in One month and they wouldn't pay for the $500 labor I had to pay for a second time in 2 months. On hold for hours at a time to speak with someone to say sry nothing we can do while waste of employees and ceos and presidents lol making millions while I'm trying to keep my food cold for my 2 little kids while spending thousands of dollars. My lawyer is taking matters now with them. What a crappy comp can I give negative stars?
I recently purchased a brand new wordpool refrigerator 3 months later it stopped working. That was 4 months ago I guess they really don't care because they just keep giving me the run around and won't replace it even though it has a 1 year manufacturer warranty what a joke 2500 down the drain
Bought microwave and stove 4 years ago microwave died already and a week later thanksgiving eve we find the oven is now broke. After only 4 years the appliances shouldn't die Very disappointed
I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator on 10/9/22. Today 11/17/22 repair people recommended by Whirlpool says it needs a compressor. The warranty says repair. They will not take it back. Compressor on back order.
Whirlpool had a reputation for excellent products so that eased my appliance purchase angst, at least until a poorly engineered and defective refrigerator arrived. It took a full month to access anyone at Whirlpool to make minimal effort to placate me, but not fix anything. The phone number hidden in the warranty literature is answered by an automated attendant, which promises a personal phone call 5 days hence! Of course the phone call never comes so without any person to whom to talk, chat online or email access, this customer is left with a defective refrigerator which cannot be repaired locally according to the Ace Hardware technician from which I purchased the refrigerator, and without any assistance from Whirlpool. Can any conclusion, other than Whirlpool intentionally blocks warranty responsibility, be reached?
One has to call the general information phone number on Whirlpool's website, which requires dealing with the useless automated attendant and I personally then waited 50 minutes on hold to speak to a rep who just told me to request an appointment online (none available in my area within the 28 day window Whirlpool allows). Persisting, the rep finally authorized a 'manual' request for service for me but the same verdict was reached 3 days later when their Master Technician explained that he's seen the same defective product sold by Whirlpool for 2 years and when he's submitted his request for a remedy, his colorful language assured me that he's also completely ignored by Whirlpool. I've attached photos of the defective refrigerator door, which will not close without being slammed hard. Another photo of the 'door ajar' red light shutting off while the door is still open over an inch suggests that Whirlpool knows very well of the defect and has adjusted the 'door ajar' light to extinguish with the door open so the homeowner thinks everything is OK. What a horrible company it's become!
Answer: I've called 1st thing in the morning and gotten through w/in 12 minutes at other times have waited between 1 and 2 hours. You read that correctly and it's not an exaggeration. I've spoken w/ professional, empathetic CSRs and unprofessional ones and none with the authority to respond outside of a narrow script. Supervisor s will not talk to customers (even if the problem has not been resolved after 4 months.) Customer Service is the number 1 reason NOT to buy a Whirlpool product!
