My business went under, and my business credit card got an unexpected charge. No easy way to find em
Avoid this website builder. Terrible customer service and they kept making charges to my Paypal account. After 9 years of using them, I'm changing.
I've used a few different web solutions in the past and happy with Weebly. I really like their design choices.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY AND DO NOT USE WEEBLY. Worst customer service. They are impossible to get ahold of when there is a problem and inordinate amounts of time is spent trying to get the problem rectified, it is impossible to reach them and they do not respond to requests for a call back. HORRRIBLE COMPANY! While they advertise that you can have a free site they do not let customers have their site for free. I had a pro-site that I was paying for. I am looking at hiring someone to do website maintenance and marketing and didn't want to renew the pro-site so the professional being hired has to ability to choose. They took my website down (NO THEY REALLY DO NOT OFFER FREE SITES) so I no longer have a website on the internet causing loss of customers and business. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO GO TO A DIFFERENT COMPANY AND NOT USE WEEBLY GIVEN THE FRUSTRATION WHEN TRULY TO REACH THEM (WHICH MANY PEOPLE HAVE POSTED ABOUT) LOSS OF TIME TRYING TO CONTACT THEM, THE STRESS AND NOW NOT HAVING MY WEBSITE ON THE INTERNET DUE TO THEM REMOVING MY SITE.
Up until last month when I made yet aNOTHER paying upgrade, I was happy with them. But now - I'm NOT!
I am a Holistic Fitness + Wellness Coach providing online services.
Their so called "easier customer service experience" is time consuming. I have "phone" privileges to speak to a human for help yet, I seem to have to jump through hoops now speak to someone.
This past Fri May 28th, I just about lost my mind while I made SEVERAL attempts to call and to hear from someone.
I got disconnected 3 times and I know that I didn't accidentally hang up on them. I didn't press buttons with my finger or my cheek.
I was on hold a month ago for 40 min a month ago when I made an attempt to call, because no one answered. They're supposed to have 24/7 service.
This past Fri, was on hold for a long time before someone answered then they disconnected with me - so I called back and had to wait again.
The last time I called I specified what exactly I wanted, the person either did NOT listen to me... or decided she knew what I meant before I finished speaking and I THINK put me on hold. I'm not sure.
I msged Weebly on FB and specified my stress and concerns and that I WANTED TO SPEAK with them via video or phone chat. They refused. "don't have the means." More like didn't have the intelligence to see how upset I was and to bother calling the office to have someone f-ing connect with me.
I PAID a month ago for an add on which I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE... And NO ONE wants to help me.
I want ALL my money back since a year ago at the very least. And I'm going to take my business elsewhere. I'm paying for a service which has failed to provide for me.
I don't appreciate the treatment I'm receiving.
Weebly has lost all credibility for me now.
I started using Weebly in 2015 - maybe even earlier - and was quite happy with their platform. Then my business grew and I needed a website with a lot more functionality. I spent hours creating product listings (items?!) and found my own work-arounds for shipping functions that just weren't helpful or intuitive. Basically, I limped along with Weebly (Wobbly) for years after it was clear it wasn't the right platform for me. Fine. That's my problem and my own fault. However, trying to extricate domain names from this platform has become so impossible that I want to shout from the rooftops: DON'T WORK WITH WEEBLY!
In April, the nonprofit I work for hired someone to help transition our site away from Weebly to Shopify. That consultant spent hours in the chat trying to figure out why the domain couldn't/wouldn't transfer. In the meantime, as we were trying to transfer the domain, the advanced site plan automatically renewed and we started communicating with Weebly about getting a refund. It's a nonprofit for god's sake... every penny counts. That was in April. I've spent five hours between yesterday and today trying to find out why the transfer didn't go through. It's clear that the random folks that show up on the chat know nothing and have no access to what's really going on. Which is frustrating since I'm a paying customer. Though the problem was finally pinpointed, the customer service experience has been terrible. When an agent couldn't find a separate thread about the problem yesterday and I sent her a screenshot, she implied that I was trying to pull one over to get a refund that wasn't allowed.
I started seeing the writing on the wall and decided to move my personal site away from Weebly and now that domain is also "stuck" only this time, all I'm getting from customer service is, "this is a known problem and we're sorry for the inconvenience". I believe that Wobbly is falling a part. PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR THEIR SERVICES!
I built my website on Weebly back in 2012 for free and have never had to or needed to upgrade because all the features I used were free then and have been for 6 years... well, today, I was editing my site and went to publish it and it said, I couldn't because my site was using features that weren't on my free plan... and what was this feature? Well, it was because I have my own domain which I paid for from GoDaddy and I've had it all this time and never had any problems, but NOW, they say I have to upgrade to a paid plan unless I want to become a "sub" domain with their Weebly name in the url... In other words, it's just their way of fixing things so that I'm forced to pay if I want to stay with them, even though I haven't changed anything or done anything different than I have been doing for the 6 years I've been with them. I wasn't trying to use "new" features or anything... didn't need them... but I have to upgrade to a paid plan if I want to use my own domain... even though that wasn't how it was when I built my site and hasn't been how it's been for 6 years, but now they want to milk money out of me! To beat all, for the 6 years they've been hosting my site, they've had their "Get a Free Website by Weebly" motto at the bottom of every page of my site... I never minded it because I thought it was true, as I had mine and was very pleased, but they DO keep changing things on you and they will change them until you have to pay if you want to continue to play, so to speak. I no longer recommend Weebly to anyone. In fact, I warn everyone, BEWARE! If someone will change the rules on people that have been with them for years, they will do it to anyone! They even had the nerve to tell me that if I didn't upgrade to a paid plan, I wouldn't be able to call and speak to anyone for customer service help... LOL... That's like me telling potential or current customers that I can't help them unless they buy something... That's great customer service!
We can create website free and easily. We can create websites for our business
Pretty good website building site. I used it for a project with a friend and it got the job done.
Answer: Weebly has a lot of pages, this to me doesn't seem like one of them. You might get this error if you go there. 404 Error - Page Not Found They have a blog that can answer that or lead to that answer.
Answer: You need a paid plan, then you can get live customer service. You still can only get that during business hours. Keep your notes in front of you, they are tricky. Remember what you say in the live chat box because the chat box will not reveal what you were previously saying. They'll try to confuse you using that and try to change your story or something. Then they'll say is that all and end the conversation. Your problem not being solved you'll have to contact them again.
Answer: Confirm this with weebly, don't go there first. Looks like a hack attempt on your account to me.
Answer: I have tried the same and contacting Weekly is futile. They could care less about their clients.
Answer: Weebly does allow facebook marketing on their site. You should take a look at their complete Terms of Service, the most important restriction on advertising is: (q) include more than three ad units per page, or any advertising that greatly reduces the usability of the site. So, you would need to be careful about how many banners you include. That being said, many of Weebly's templates work really well with affiliate sites. The ability to insert HTML and Javascript files gives you a lot of flexibility. I've created a couple of demo sites that show how you can use affiliate data feeds on a Weebly site. You can see them here: http://www.webbuildersguide.com/website-builders-reviews/weebly-review/
Weebly has a rating of 1.3 stars from 157 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Weebly most frequently mention customer service, live chat and credit card. Weebly ranks 148th among Website Builder sites.
