When you go and change something it changes it right back to what you had before. When you change the name of your page it changes it back to the default it had for the website template.
There is no reason to Weebly when there are dozens of other website tools out there that work 100x better for the same price. It doesn't matter if you are a new user trying to design a simple website or a experienced designer, you will hate your life for choosing this.
The design tool barely lets you customize your site and randomly deletes and resizes images. The drag and drop interface doesn't work and will move other elements on the page. If you need to edit the code good luck because the pages are bloated and confusing. Plus if you mess something up there is no history like any other reputable software and CTRL+Z doesn't work to undo your actions.
I have gotten so frustrated from trying to do simple tasks like move text boxes or edit headers that I wanted to punch my computer. Was locked out of my website once because it made me log in with a Facebook account that wasn't active even though I had the username and password for my site and it took forever to resolve the problem with customer service. Spend your money on better software.
Great experience launching a site, paying for said site With the domain. Was going to try and follow a dream to have a site for a business. That business didn't work out. I quit with the dream. Stopped using weebly. Opted for No renewal. Same thing through paypal. A year goes by and Bam. 300$ deducted from my PayPal Credit account. Not banking through paypal. Ouch. I called weebly and discussed the issue. Instant refund Back to my PayPal Credit. I thought all was fixed until I had 2 Emails from my Bank. Overdraft fees. Why? Because weebly decided to go through PayPal to My bank account attached to PayPal instead to fund the NON EXISTENT website again! Without authorization. I paid the overdraft fees and contacted bank. They said contact paypal and weebly. Called weebly. They said they tried charging me 300$ again, because the Domain wasn't canceled.its a Separate fee from your actual purchase of a website. Bs. They were told to cancel the account domain/website last week. Soo. It cost me an extra 60$ so far because of them. And blamed me for it. Never again. This dream was a nightmare in the end. Buyer beware!
Weebly was good in the past but in recent years it has become a nightmare to deal with them. It is beyond time consuming, stressful and frustrating trying to reach Weebly over problems and next to impossible to reach anyone. Despite advertising that a person can have a free website, unless paying for services, when a person is not really doing business under a company and does not need to make changes to the website but want the website to still be on the internet, Weebly has deleted the website. Despite contacting Weebly about the website being taken down by Weebly, Weebly does not respond or deal with the problem. Weebly kept billing monthy despite the second website being moved to another company and has refused to issue a refund. STAY AWAY FROM WEEBLY OR YOU WILL FACE THE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT STRESS FRUSTRATION, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, LOSING YOUR WEBSITE AND BEING BILLED WHEN THE WEBSITE IS NO LONGER WITH WEEBLY.
Weebly hosts sites like alisachilders.com, who literally go out of there way to say black people were made by god to be slaves, and the bible supports it... there is no way to complain to weebly about there promotion of SEVERLY RACIST VIEWS! And they really don't care as long as they get their money. GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO GET YOUR WEB SITE HOSTED! They need to be canceled... or take what they post for others as their own... AND THEN WEEP AT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE FOR/TO HUMANITY!
I have been using the upgraded version of Weebly for about 4 months. I have spent countless hours designing the website the way I want it within the limits of what the site provides. I had been very happy with the Square integration and have had no issues until last Monday (going on 9 days ago).
I had a client ask me if I had removed several of my items on the site as they weren't there anymore. Logging in I saw what she saw and immediately called customer support.
After being on hold for 45 minutes a ticket was created after the CS rep said it was something wrong on their end.
Tuesday I called for a check up and the CS rep said that no one had even been in the account to look at it yet but she had seen this issue before (you would think there would be a quick fix for it then). She could not provide me any ETA on resolution.
Wednesday I called in and the CS rep stated they were in the account currently, but did not have an ETA for me.
Thursday- No communication, no follow up.
Friday- I called in and she also did not have any update other than the developers had been in thr account and that something was wrong with it. When I let her know I was going to cancel and wanted a refund she offered 2 months of free service ($24 value...).
It is now the evening of the Tuesday following the initial call, 8 days later and no one has reached out, fixed the issue or communicated with me.
By far the worst customer service I have had in years and is trupy disappointing after thd hours I spent getting my site how I wanted it.
Weebly is ok platformer very limited but eazy to use
You will have problem with the payment system as its only support 3 credit cards and no other options
The biggest problem is with Weebly support center.
They will never replay to any problem you have its telling you its the corona but its was like this forever
They will never replay to any of your email and will leave you with your problem
They will not repay when you close the account and will not replay for your demands to return back your money
Acutely I'm not even sure they have support center
Be carful when you spend time and money on this platform
I transferred my domain (and site) to Weebly when my Webs.com site started having major problems. Only the transfer wasn't going through as smoothly as it was supposed to. Things seemed to get hung up for longer than it said it was supposed to. So I emailed Weebly asking for help. The guy who answered was really helpful. He told me Webs was supposed to be doing things from their end that they weren't. We gave it another week. When Webs still wasn't doing their job, he went in and "grabbed it for me" is how he described it. So they get big kudos from me for that.
The site works great. So far, no lag on loading times, the site is always up, etc. The only frustration I've had so far is that that after a while, the site editor will stop responding. I have to completely close my browser and re-open for it to fix itself again.
Chose Weebly over Wix because I tried to build a site with both and I found Weebly easier to figure out. Plus, they were a little cheaper.
My only negative is that the responsive themes you get all look exactly the same. And each one comes with its own set of colors and you can't change them without going into the CSS. I do like that I can go in and fiddle with the CSS, though, to change things like the color of the font on my navigation, but you have to hunt for a lot of them, so it's not really easy.
But the site works and I haven't had any problems on that end. Easy to use.
No one in the company knows who they are and what they are doing. The company is now merged with another company named Square up but they call themselves square which is easy to mix with square space which is a legitimate company. I spend over two hours on the phone with 4 different people but they do not even know how things work inside the company. I have been on hold for over 30 minutes on the phone and I wanted to speak with the manager at the end but they said I have to write my complaint which I decided to write it to the public rather than them. I am even not sure if anyone manages anything there. They made all the mess and sold a domain saying I get access to free templates but the templates were for the so-called square company. I requested cancelation, they canceled everything and mentioned my customized domain will be released in 3-5 business days. It has not become available and after following up I have been told I need to purchase the plan and domain with them again for at least 3 months to be able to transfer the domain or I can wait for a year when the domain becomes available again! For me it was not about the money, it was their disgusting business model that they only wanted to sell you products with no support.

I started one free site on weebly a couple of years ago and it has been running ever since so that is the good news. I tried to start another site recently and their site builder seems clunky and hard to use. I am still looking for a hosting company which can give you a clean, well-organized, and straight-forward website builder, but that seems pretty rare.
Wordpress seems to be the most widely used and well regarded software for making and maintaining a site, but the learning curve is steep and I am a bit of a dolt. Weebly has a lot of options for a free site, but it's drag and drop builder does not really let you do much.
It did not want to accept any photos because I run a linux os and I am assuming my photos, even though they are from smart phones, do not conform to the weebly software.
I do not recall having that problem before, (when I setup the previous site). Also it is impossible to resize anything on a new page, and their text editor only gives you very basic options. If you are putting some "brochure-ware" up on their free site, it is probably adequate, but do not expect much.
I do not know how easy it is to do e-commerce or to move or upgrade your website, but it feels difficult to do the simplest things, and I do not think it has to be that way. But I am not very adept at any of these things so it may work for you. I am just not very impressed with their website builder.
Weebky is extremely hard to contact when you have a serious issue regarding them taking out your money.
I contacted them sevral times to stop taking out money on a bad date. They never responded. Leaving me over drawn at the bank at a bad time. I sent them a record FOUR EMAILS!
My bank instructed me to get a new card so they would stop taking the money out and guess what this month they are still trying to take money out lol now they are sending threating emails about how my account is "suspended" yet they NEVER RESPONDED TO THE EMAILS I SENT! They want to send you dozens of email begging for your money but they dont want to respond. I hope other people experince much worse so more accountability will be taken on weeblys part. They are lazy and unprofessional
We use this site for our company, it is by far the best website for creating your own I have ever come across. Very nice set of designs.
Weebly is without a doubt the worst company. Zero customer or technical support. Just robot talking to you in a chat with not help.
Weebly was my first attempt that actually worked for creating a blog. It's easy for non-techs to understand, and the results look nice.
I have been with Weebly for almost three years. The site is completely full of bugs that they will absolutely not fix. They have been reported over and over. Their customer support service is ignorant to every single issue I have brought up over the years and has gotten worse with time. They claim to have a mobile conversion for their sites, but it does not work. If you sell online and are thinking of opening an commerce store with them, expect ZERO of your customers to be able to buy from you if they try to purchase through a phone or tablet. Their code is not compatible with many operating systems and they are completely clueless about it and when it is brought to their attention, they do nothing. In addition to numerous development issues, they have had hacks that they did not reveal to their customers and have had many instances when they accidentally pushed code that messed up many people's websites, they also never cared to inform customers about that either. I would not recommend Weebly to anyone.
The prices are deceiving and even though they might be slightly cheaper up front on paper, what you are losing in the long run and the product you actually receive is garbage. Even if you pay for the premium product (which says that you will get updates along with what weebly developed) they issue every new trivial update with a price tag next to it, on top of what your annual fee is. When you weigh them against other big commerce site builder providers, you actually pay less buying a service from someone else, but they trick people with their pricing structure and their lies. Getting a Weebly site is basically buying a crappy app and then finding out that even though you payed the premium price, every new cool tool that comes out, (that is provided as part of the service everywhere else) you have to pay extra for on Weebly, often with an additional monthly fee attached. Their products are horrible and their customer service is the worst (literally worst) I have ever experienced anywhere. The bottom line is that they don't care about their customers one bit.
I invested lot of time to create me a 7 page website, endless hours of developing, testing, redoing. When I got it ready and I really liked the outcome I had a problem cause some of a text was invisible with Firefox while it was ok with other browser. So I contacted the help desk... got it fixed...
In 2 hour time my site was deleted and my Weebly account terminated... No warning, no reason, no nothing. I sent them an e-mail asking what about the content that took me days to create? No answer to this date! Seriously... my website was not really ready yet, no payment module, no real domain I was planning to purchase...
It is just killing me how rude they can be. I do not know the reason. I did not advertise the site, was just developing it. It was sports related information and consulting...
Either way. Be aware. You do tons of hard work. Finally you develop the product you like... and they erase everything and throw you out with the one click. And no explanation... Nothing. Buff you are gone...
That is not business, that's BS people. Do not go anywhere near these fools!
You will get hurt!
What a hypocrates!
I run consultation service with the monthly subscriptions and they delete my business saying:

"We do not allow MLM / Make Money style sites on our network"
Really I thought you can actually create a small business website or store for that matter on Weebly. Turns out this is not for any kind of business at all. As soon as you try to make money, you are shut down. To be precise- you are accused in MLM, even if you are mom-pop store selling cookies
That is just horrible! Create small business website or e-store, pay to us for it, but be aware. As soon you are trying to make any money- we will accuse you of running MLM scam and shut you down!
So people have that in mind before you even go close to these clowns!
I was surprised to see all of these negative reviews. Although there have been a few bumps here and there, I have not had any significant problems.
These people spam your machine. They are difficult to get rid of and initiate popups that are persistent. The worst kind of annoying junk.
Answer: Weebly has a lot of pages, this to me doesn't seem like one of them. You might get this error if you go there. 404 Error - Page Not Found They have a blog that can answer that or lead to that answer.
Answer: You need a paid plan, then you can get live customer service. You still can only get that during business hours. Keep your notes in front of you, they are tricky. Remember what you say in the live chat box because the chat box will not reveal what you were previously saying. They'll try to confuse you using that and try to change your story or something. Then they'll say is that all and end the conversation. Your problem not being solved you'll have to contact them again.
Answer: Confirm this with weebly, don't go there first. Looks like a hack attempt on your account to me.
Answer: I have tried the same and contacting Weekly is futile. They could care less about their clients.
Answer: Weebly does allow facebook marketing on their site. You should take a look at their complete Terms of Service, the most important restriction on advertising is: (q) include more than three ad units per page, or any advertising that greatly reduces the usability of the site. So, you would need to be careful about how many banners you include. That being said, many of Weebly's templates work really well with affiliate sites. The ability to insert HTML and Javascript files gives you a lot of flexibility. I've created a couple of demo sites that show how you can use affiliate data feeds on a Weebly site. You can see them here: http://www.webbuildersguide.com/website-builders-reviews/weebly-review/
Weebly has a rating of 1.3 stars from 157 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Weebly most frequently mention customer service, live chat and credit card. Weebly ranks 148th among Website Builder sites.
