It's absolutely horrible. I pay over 300 dollars a year for this because it's my only option and I need a site for my business. But the templates are all outdated and ugly, so many features are broken, and it's just not worth it. Stay far away.
Its ease of use has made me give it 2. The blogs are the worst. The characters are starting from the side and not at all satisfied with the information of views. There were about 100 views but it is consistently showing 1 view.
I was perfectly happy with the price I was paying for Weebly and with the features I had. They have notified me that next year my price is doubling because they are adding a $30/mo fee for a bunch of new features that customers have said they wanted. Rather than giving me the option, they've just told me this is how it is. Even though I don't want or need those features. I have complained and all I got was "you can go to another host". Sure, if I want to rebuild the websites from scratch. There is no way of transferring the websites I have to my free account either. If I understand correctly, my free account is going to go up in price as well. The agent I spoke to didn't seem to know anything about it.
Weebly just makes you go around in circles horrible customer service they sent an email saying they will get back to you in 48 hours that's unacceptable they Outsource their customer service out of the United States which is probably the biggest reason why they have such horrible customer service my problem still isn't resolved after working on it for over a month
Weebly is the absolute garbage of website hosting. They literally do the bare minimum if anything at all to improve it. You can't use features like afterpay, when editing an item you can't even get it to change prices if you've had a price increase. This thing should be free, in fact they should pay you to use it.
I have had a site hosted with Weebly for many years. I believe their software has been pretty much customer friendly. Recently I noticed that they have made it a little more difficult to use. When I tried to contact their customer support, I found it nearly impossible to contact them. On their support page you have to work through the artificial intelligence on their "chat". Only after stating that I needed to contact their support team numerous times did it allow me access to an email link. The last time I sent an email through this process it took several weeks for them to respond and their response was extremely vague. I have yet to receive an answer to to the questions that I forwarded based on their response. Based on what I am going through now, I wouldn't recommend using their services to anyone.
I registered my "overpriced" domain name through this site. The last 2 months i have been trying to move the domain name to my service provider. No luck. It also shows up as registered with www.register.com. I dont have an account at that hosting provided. Weebly.com has been a PAIN IN THE $#*!. Weebly is about as suckable as it gets for my site. No communication with help. No people to talk to. Weebly is a pile of internet $#*!.
Impossible to cancel domain subscription. Spent half an hour without success. No simple button for doing it. Even message to a moderator is stopped. On top, when I desided to delete my account to be on the safe side I had to re-write a simple feedback message 5 times (sic!) just because it dissapeared when I wanted to edit it. Looks like they do everything possible to stop you from leaving them in a sneaky way having a hope that you would not have time before subscription is renewed automatically.
This web site has a good starter program to make web sites. - It is free and easy to use. I and my friend have enjoyed putting a web site together. There are many ways to set up your page on this site as well.
Let's start out with this: I have been a designer and tech person in marketing agencies for 25+ years. I've been working in web for 12. This web builder is the biggest, steamiest pile of feces I have ever worked with. I took on a project where the client asked me to design a site using Weebly because someone had suggested it to him. Can't be that hard, no problem. I'll learn to build a Weebly site. Instant regret. Unintuitive interface, tedious controls, limited functions, f'n TERRIBLE support. The relationship between Square and Weebly is murky at best. Both seem to point you to use the other one. The Weebly site suggests moving sites to Square. That's nearly impossible. Be prepared to recreate your site. I tried to publish a site and i had to purchase another plan to publish AFTER i had already purchased one when setting up the account. Save yourself a boat load of frustration and swearing. Avoid this garbage.
My Weebly account got hacked. They should get ZERO STARS as I have tried to contact them over and over and..., but just as so many other reviewers have said, trying to get support from Weebly is far worse than pulling teeth. They are horrendous. Please, do yourself a favor and use another platform to build your website and DO NOT support this company by using their Square affiliate. Use PayPal or Zelle or anything else--but do not support Weebly and any of their companies. They simply could care less about their customers. Period!
This is the second most asinine web platform I have used besides WIX. Who creates a web site that doesn't allow you to UNDO a mistake? I've spent HOURS recreating the same pages because, when you click on one item, a section on another part of the page completely disappears. I was hired to create a website for someone, because web development is not all that I do, and am really embarassed that it's so flawed. Tech support tried to pull up the original, but even though I didn't publish the last version I created with the errors, it doesn't look the same at all. If you're lucky to get ahold of tech support after waiting 15 minutes or more, you finally hear the music stop followed by a click, because the person hung up on you. Chat is frustrating as well. Do yourself a favor - learn Wordpress and figure out how to bypass all the idiosyncrasies that are immersed in Weebly's platform.
I have a problem. I want to make a website under a domain I name. For some reason, there is no website creator where a domain, including Weebly. They all say they are free, but when I tried to make one, it tried to charge me $67.90! I suggest you don't make a website unless you are actually interested in spending for a business or something. I am not just trying to beat up this one website, but all website creators! By the way, if you know of a website where I can get my own domain completely free, comment on my SiteJabber account. :)
These guys are $#*!ing $#*!s. Like seriously, I made an account and it allowed me to do the free option. Great. Oh look free seven day trial included? Great. However after the trial it says, your trial is ended choose a plan. Only problem? The free option isn't here. Also I cant access my website (which i didnt publish yet) and im not giving a penny to these scumbag $#*!s trying to steal my cash
I recently recommended that a friend pay for Weebly and I would set up his site. I have spent so much time investigating to find that basic functionality such as creating buttons with a uniform size and adding text above the menu is not possible without purchasing apps or rewriting the Theme CSS. Even the support reps that I have spoken to were surprised to find that basic functionality is not available. I have just recreated the Home page for the site three times because the content just disappeared or the background image spontaneously expanded. I have also found that I can change the color of some text in a single text box, but when I add new text it will not allow me to change the color. Weebly also freezes and crashes more than I remember in the past. I will work to finish this site but will not recommend it in the future.
I unpublished my website before an upgrade; Weebly decided to delete my account. All my billing was up-to-date. They then asked me to pay to open the account to access my domains. They then made me pay to access my content. Then nothing. Crickets. Their service people ran me around for a week. DO NOT USE WEEBLY.
It has been two days trying to get into my account,
Just chasing a donkeys tail.
Phone support literally sucks, because you need a password to speak with a rep,
Cant get into my account in order to get a email to reset password,
So frustrated.
It has problems often. As far as they are small and you can deal with them, it is just a litle slow and uncomfortable. But if you have a serious issue, there is no way to contact them. You send mails (the only contact way they have) and no one responds... so you can have your website or your payment system crashed for weeks.
Be aware that you cannot manage your own files once you create a Weebly website. Yes, you read that right: You cannot manage YOUR OWN FILES. So be sure to only link to files in Google Drive or Dropbox or somewhere else and NEVER embed your files in your Weebly site. The only way to delete a file is to contact customer service and ask them to delete specific files (you have to have the names of the files).
If this sounds absurd it's because IT IS. If I had known this before I started my Weebly site I would have never used their service.
They shutdown my websites and my account claiming I was violating the terms, but I was not. I decided to create my websites somewhere else. I will never go back to weebly.com again. Try squarespace.com instead.
Answer: Weebly has a lot of pages, this to me doesn't seem like one of them. You might get this error if you go there. 404 Error - Page Not Found They have a blog that can answer that or lead to that answer.
Answer: You need a paid plan, then you can get live customer service. You still can only get that during business hours. Keep your notes in front of you, they are tricky. Remember what you say in the live chat box because the chat box will not reveal what you were previously saying. They'll try to confuse you using that and try to change your story or something. Then they'll say is that all and end the conversation. Your problem not being solved you'll have to contact them again.
Answer: Confirm this with weebly, don't go there first. Looks like a hack attempt on your account to me.
Answer: I have tried the same and contacting Weekly is futile. They could care less about their clients.
Answer: Weebly does allow facebook marketing on their site. You should take a look at their complete Terms of Service, the most important restriction on advertising is: (q) include more than three ad units per page, or any advertising that greatly reduces the usability of the site. So, you would need to be careful about how many banners you include. That being said, many of Weebly's templates work really well with affiliate sites. The ability to insert HTML and Javascript files gives you a lot of flexibility. I've created a couple of demo sites that show how you can use affiliate data feeds on a Weebly site. You can see them here: http://www.webbuildersguide.com/website-builders-reviews/weebly-review/
Weebly has a rating of 1.3 stars from 157 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Weebly most frequently mention customer service, live chat and credit card. Weebly ranks 148th among Website Builder sites.
