WebMD's reputation is mixed, with customers acknowledging the site's extensive medical information and usefulness as a starting point for health inquiries. However, significant concerns arise regarding outdated provider information, unreliable marketing practices, and perceived biases towards pharmaceutical interests. Many users express frustration with customer service, citing unresponsive communication and a lack of follow-up, particularly in marketing and administrative contexts. While some appreciate the resource for its educational value, the overall sentiment reflects a demand for improved reliability and transparency in both service and content.

I am a female doctor with Wheatland Internal Medicine Clinic, https://wheatlandimc.com
I have reached out to WebMD to update my new address for a while but they still have my old address, has some male photo of me which is ridiculous. WebMD is not reliable as they have outdated providers information for patients to trust.
I just saw a video of the CEO threatening his employees to return to the office and not work from home. They had other people on there as well, it was like a hostage video with fake smiles. Blink twice if you need help. Not using webmd anymore. EVERYDAY HEALTH here I come!
I checked a dentists reviews. The dentist had about 60 reviews on the very first day on Web MD. One day mind you. Then there were several reviews the dentist for for 5 years. Now there have been no, o, reviews at all for 3 years for this dentist on Web MD, that is, ever since the dentist responded to a negative review. Did the dentist stop paying his subscription fees to Web MD?. This is a disgusting, untruthful site to search professional reviews and ratings.
As far as articles, the recent one on IV Ketamine therapy for pai, It appears to have been paid for advertising giving false hope to patients. Insurance does not cover IV Ketamine therapy for pain. Someone should investigate Web MD o this article. Please do that and have them take their article off the site.
From the perspective of a medical provider, I was locked into a contract and told that the site would have great visibility and lead to prospective patient encounters. Ive had 2 patients from this site in 5 months actually be seen. The content is nice but there arent enough patients seeing this website to find me or at least they are going to other sites where they make the decision to make an appointment. I would not renew a contract or sign up for it in hindsight, they wont modify your contract despite clear evidence they are not successfully helping you.
If you need a talented, kind and professional practice
I highly recommend. Dr el-attar at derma laser center
His staff and service and follow up is amazing
Not what you normally find these days in the medical field
My husband was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and, after waiting a week for a PET scan appointment that was supposed to be at 1 pm today, he was contacted this morning by a Westmed technologist, and told that the appointment had been cancelled. Apparently, the individual who scheduled the appointment did not get the proper authorization from his insurance company in time. Additionally, someone was supposed to call him on Friday, 7/28/23, to reschedule, however no one did.
To say this is outrageous is an understatement. He needs to have this test done as soon as possible to determine if the cancer has spread, and this issue with the insurance authorization should have been settled last week, when the appointment was scheduled. Instead, the appointment was cancelled and he was told by the technologist (who called at 8:40 am the morning of the appointment) that he needed to call the doctor's office to see about getting the authorization.
Not only is this NOT his job, but I he took a day off from work and was about to drink a bottle full of barium when he got the call. He was told that once Wested gets the insurance authorization, they can squeeze him in for the following day, however nothing can be done about today's appointment, as the injection that is needed can not be ordered until there is insurance approval. Now he will have to take yet another day off from work, as the test will take a few hours.
Is this how Westmed now treats their cancer patients? His cancer could be spreading and delay can be deadly. Shame on you Westmed for treating him this way!
Dr. Hesam Feghahati is an absolute genius and does the best work and is great at what he does. The staff is also helpful. Great bunch of people.

In a recent review, WebMD recommended folic acid for pregnant people. Implying that men have a womb and carry carry a developing fetus. This site is apparent run by educated doctors. This is a untrue. Any doctor should know that biological fact; XX not XY
From WebMD: December 5,2022 - Folic acid is also available as a supplement, and is often used in combination with other B vitamins. Folic acid is used for preventing and treating low blood levels of folate (folate deficiency) and high blood levels of homocysteine (hyperhomocysteinemia). People who are pregnant or might become pregnant take folic acid to prevent serious birth defects such as spina bifida.
WebMD solicitor, Tate, lied and said he "legally had to speak only with the doctor". Don't trust this company.
I am writing this review from the point of view of a medical provider and advertiser. Sales presentation was duplicitous (used car lot process), started charging me before profiles were even close to ready, their websites never worked, links did not work, scheduling did not work, received only two patients after spending over $1000 with them, did not return emails promptly (if at all), refused to return phone calls, extremely unprofessional, no follow up in terms of correcting WebMD profiles. Extremely frustrating working with folks who cannot tell the truth. I would call their company a complete scam. Never, never, never advertise with these people. They are absolutely not to be trusted. There are much better ways to be found online. Recommend you stay away from them. Word to the wise…
The counselor i wrote the review about had 0 reviews on there webmd site. Still has 0 reviews after i gave my review. Funny how that works.
So if you are wanting to use webmd for their suboxone clinic don't pharmacies won't fill unless in person visit or dr is within 50 miles ect. The dr was great and was easy to get through the process. I was wanting to do it this way because the I person. Office was a councilor visits once a week and two dr. Visits at first so in one month I would pay $180 trying to save money. Well so much for that.
There are no options for intersex in the symptom checker neither are there any mention of how symptoms might present on intersex people on any webmd article ive read, so i have to use male or female but these results wont be accurate because sex has an important role in how symptoms present for different health issues. And this discrimination affects over 1% of our population, that's as many intersex people as there are red heads, so this is not a small oversight from a supposed medical website.
Has a wonder staff system. Very caring, knowledgeable, and experienced staff. I would recommend them to anyone in need of advice and or care!
The website contains helpful information about a variety of health topics. While there are more reliable websites, WebMD is a good starting place to find useful health information. I haven't always found the symptom checker helpful, which isn't intended as a diagnostic tool but does present several potential conditions to help narrow down the possibilities. Thanks to the symptom checker, I began to suspect I had appendicitis the other night and went to the hospital ER where I had an appendectomy. My experience gave me a new appreciation for WebMD.
Keeps giving just general symptoms to check, when I put in my symptoms to add it just goes around them to general symptoms and cause of the symptom unrelated to my symptom I tried over a dozen times but no help, so this is no help
Dr. Stovroff is an amazing doctor/surgeon. He has a wonderfully warm personality, he's upbeat, and is easy to speak with. He is helpful in resolving whatever health issue your child is having. He is an excellent surgeon with a caring bedside manner going above and beyond to answer questions and do everything he can to make your child recover fully and ease the minds of their parents.
WebMD does not have the latest info about identifying your prescription meds based on their pill markings. I've found that Drugs.com has more current info.
