WebMD affords both practical and useful technical, medical information for consumers and those who are interested in enhancing their knowledge regarding various aspects of the medical arena. A vast plethora of topics and literature may be reviewed to aid in gaining insight and understanding of diseases, medical conditions, treatment modalities, preventive measures, health concerns, as well as prescription and OTC drugs. WebMD provides me with information I utilize in making informed decisions about my health care. I especially like reading about advances in the medical profession, and often act in accordance with the conclusions they render. Undoubtedly, the resources provided through WebMD are most interesting and beneficial in countless ways.

After reading 2 WebMD articles about asthma medication I am unimpressed. The only credit listed was a doctor who allegedly "reviewed" each article. There are no authors listed, and no sources where they found their data. There are only links to other WebMD articles, which I expect are also written anonymously. There are no references to books, or experts, or links to websites for further reading, or to the date the source material was written. Your health is too important to trust an article written by an anonymous typist with no apparent credentials other than they know how to use Google.

Florida orthopedic foot and ankle center is one of the best Dr visit i have ever had in 50 yrs. Everyone from the minute i hobbled in to the minute i left very kind, informative, helpful and caring. Best bed side manner from the Dr i have seen. They listened and were concerned not like most that brush you off. All staff was the same. Waiting time once i got there was none which was great. Treatment was awesome. Thank you to all that work there! I would highly recommend them to everyone

Last year during the best summer Ireland has ever had, i started to experience headaches. Long story short i looked it up on webmd (bull$#*!) and it told me i had a brain tumour. It cause me to be terrified about this non existent tumour all summer even when i went away to spain. It made me so upset and wasted my summer. What a crappy unreliable website. Its bull$#*! dont depend on it! Turns out the headaches was a symptom of my depression i was diagnosed with

I was under the impression that WebMd would have all local doctors listed. Well, I work at an MD office and we have filled out the WebMd form, called WebMd several times, written them via snail mail... and have gotten a complete run-around. The folks that show up on their website all PAY to be there. It's not neutral, it's paid advertising. Very disturbing that so many of us trusted WebMd only to find out it's a paid, advertising scam.

From the perspective of a medical provider, I was locked into a contract and told that the site would have great visibility and lead to prospective patient encounters. Ive had 2 patients from this site in 5 months actually be seen. The content is nice but there arent enough patients seeing this website to find me or at least they are going to other sites where they make the decision to make an appointment. I would not renew a contract or sign up for it in hindsight, they wont modify your contract despite clear evidence they are not successfully helping you.

Keeps giving just general symptoms to check, when I put in my symptoms to add it just goes around them to general symptoms and cause of the symptom unrelated to my symptom I tried over a dozen times but no help, so this is no help

I've used Web MD for several years now to begin researching medical issues, conditions, and treatments. Serious reactions to some prescriptions brought me there. It's difficult for a lay person to read peer reviewed medical articles without a strong background, so I begin with these folks. I check out the abstracts for some of the bibliographies for leads to more detailed information. Sometimes this highlights questions I've overlooked. Their herbal info is pretty good as are their write-ups on pharmaceuticals.

This site is too complicated for non -medical persons. It needs to list all generic equivalent medications in the same " class" of drugs so people can save tons of money. I may be thinking of Drugs.com where you can see if your medications have interactions with Over the Counter medications and so on. Too bad they do not include all the ones on the recall list or the ones in class action lawsuits here. Great Site for most who need to study what they do not know. But the constant emails are a headache.

Been to WEB MD many times with questions about my own body and those of loved ones. Always had easy to understand information. Many doctors (live-not online) try to discourage their patients from seeking info online, but I have found that WEB MD's info isn't worst-case-scenario-first info, but level-headed facts or opinions. Of course, depending upon what info you put in their search engine, the results could differ. I consider it to be top-of-the-line in medical information provided online.
