They love charging service fees without warning or explanation and their customer service is abysmal! They lock you into insanely long contacts without discussion and then dismiss your concerns and questions, and don't answer or return your calls because they don't have to. You're stuck with them. Any of this would be fine if their customer service weren't so bad! And I mean BAD. Do yourself a favor- look elsewhere.
Every North Scottsdale apartment complex that uses Waste Management has a serious backup on a constant basis that turns luxury complexes into cesspools of putrid trash. There is something wrong with their schedule of pickup at multi-dwelling complexes. Maybe the apartment complexes are to blame for not paying for an appropriate schedule but this is just disgusting and wrong on so many levels.
The wrost company in the whole world, a really bad service, bad custumer service. This company sucks. Don't ever use it
Missed pick up, they open the bags and leave trash on the street, and if you cancel they want to charge $75 for bin pick up, that is not right the customer cancel services because the bad job that this company do, I don't think paying for bins pick up is right. Worst company ever.
Missed garbage service four days in a row. Each time I call they assure me that is will be corrected ASAP.
This is the WORST company for garbage pickup service EVER! They recently became our garbage pickup service and it's worse than what we had. We live on a culdesac and have been skipped on our garbage pickup day (Friday) several times the last few weeks. One of the weeks we were "assured" someone would come pick it up and they never did, so our garbage sat out there until the next Friday when it was picked up, but we got behind from garbage piling up. We ALWAYS have our garbage can set out the night before pickup. And we ALWAYS pay our bill early. Therefore we expect 100% of the service we are paying for! They are glad to take your money but not deliver! They are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!
Moved from Reliable Sanitation in Cobb County to Waste Management in Fulton County and think I need to move back to Cobb!
Every couple of weeks they don't pickup and cannot manage autopay so I had to call 3 times to sort it out... they said they were coming to pick up my waste within 48 hours but no show! Extremely bad experience so far!
After over 6 years with this company I decided to change service companies. I had prepaid for service 3 months in advance. When I stopped service I was two months in, so they said they would refund one month. After several calls and emails they did show my account with a credit. But a credit does me no good with a company I have no business with. They will not send me the money. I have called numerous times, left messages, spoke to several folks who ALWAYS say they will get back with me, but never do. This has been five months... beyond frustrated.
This company's is totally unacceptable when it comes to the "service" they offer. It's been 2 weeks since they've picked up our trash (and this is the third time this has happened) and I've called them for the last 4 days with the guarantee it was going to be picked up the "next day". Well it's now time for our regular trash pickup day-will it happen? Our HOA dues pay for trash pickup (we pay for recycle pickup), but we're going to pay for another company to take over our business because this company is not interested in taking care of paying customers. I just wish there was an option for reviews less than 1 star.
Today is my 3rd call to waste management in 2 months, this call tops my issue with them. I've been transferred, hung up on, placed on hold and over 2 hours later I'm calling back with no resolution. They lie about their charges, no one seems to know what is going on and the customer service is the worst! They don't deserve 1 star but I couldn't bypass that portion of the review
Route driver took out my phone wire and wi-fi internet service to my residence. Have been trying to contact Waste Mgt. Since Friday. NO WAY TO TALK TO A PERSON ON THE PHONE 'TIL MONDAY. YOU SUCK WASTE MANAGEMENT!
If I could give them less than 1 Star I would. I have spent the last two mornings being put on hold, hung up on and then told I could not cancel our service because my name was not on the account. I asked to talk to a manager and was denied. Over 2 1/2 hours of my time and now my husband is going to have to go through the same process! Go with Countryside! Less expensive, was not put on hold and they have an actual office in Cortez!
I have a business account with Waste Management, but after what everyone of my neighbors went through this week with them, I will not be renewing my business contract. They lost the contract for the City of Burton, and have been retaliating against the residents by either not picking up the trash, or only partially picking it up. If they were an upstanding company, they would have honored the contract, and done the job correctly until it was finished. What they have done over the past few weeks to the residents of Burton, just proves the company has no integrity.
I am not a customer of this company, and based on my experiences with them, I NEVER will be. I will also actively discourage everyone I can from using their services. For several months now, this company has been sending me confidential information about their customers. It doesn't matter how many times I've emailed them informing them that I'm not a customer, and don't want their customers' payment information, they just keep sending it. I have now reported them as spam, so the emails don't show up in my inbox. To those who are their customers, I want to assure you that I have NEVER looked at, copied, or used the information sent to me, bur you may want to check to see if someone else has. If I'm getting your info, someone else may be as well.
This is the WORST service. Fees are constantly climbing, they often leave the bin full. Since day 1 the bin has been missing a wheel and they never bothered to fix it. After paying a huge bill and an extra fee, and speaking on the phone with an agent for forty minutes, they promised me that they would do a pick up on friday. They did not pick up on friday, despite the fact that I dragged the frozen, one wheeled trash bin through the snow in minus 7 degree weather. On calling, I indicated that the bin is still at the roadside, and reiterated their promise to pick it up. They stated that they could not get a truck out here because we are expecting bad weather (forecast is clear until friday). Wish I had read the reviews before paying their EXPENSIVE fees. Cancelled service today.
I have been waiting for my trashed to be collected since May 30th. May 30th no trash collected. Driver said all of the bags were more than 40 lbs. None were. Called on Fri. And complained. No response. On Monday my husband called and talked to someone that said they would have it taken care of and to put two weeks worth of trash out on Wed. June 5th and it would be picked up. Came home and it was not picked up. It was after 6 pm, so we called Thurs. Morning, my husband asked to talk to the route manager. No response and It is now Friday 6/7. I started calling at 8 am this morning. Responses, "Ok, I will let them know". Called again at 1 pm, customer service stated that we were on the list for a pick-up today. 5:30- no service. I called again, and was told that I would be last on the route since it was added that morning. It is now 8:40 pm and I have trash from May 23-6/7 still not collected.
Terrible driver work ethic, terrible customer service, terrible company. Never Use THEM! Still waiting for a response. I won't hold my breath.
TERRIBLE COMPANY SERVICE all around. Paid for service I have never received.
I like the baster and the ease of purchase. I do not like that I contracted and paid Waste management for a pick up by a Waste Management truck and received and different company.
I used the baster because I looked it up on line and saw the video of the Truck with the "Boom" collecting that bag.
What I got was a "Junk Truck For Hire" with a winch and a hook on the end of the cable. The guys had to make a ramp from my drive way to the bed of the truck and pull the baster up to the truck. It was very clumsy and cause the baster to spill and be repeatedly adjusted to get it on the truck. This is NOT the service that was advertised. Not too mention workers that have no identification or professional attire. Quite honestly, I was very uncomfortable having strangers on my property, However the men who picked up the bag were very nice and most accommodating. That would be another reason I selected Waste Management for their reputation.
As a side note please don't respond with something to the affect the "We" contract some of our work load out to others. That is not my concern. All I know is that I requested and PAID Waste Management.
I don't see me using this service again unless I can be compensated is some manner.
I have worked and lived in this area for more than 50 years and do not like to endorse companies I feel are not upfront with their customers.
I have had a probe with waste management 2 times in the last 5 years they refuse to correct a bill that I proved I did not owe.
First time I had service suspended for summer. They started my service again but did not show the courtesy of a phone call or letter. When I received a 6 month bill and had not had service I called them. They acknowledged the suspense but had restarted and since there are 3 houses ion out street they just wrote notes each week "no tote out" and drove off.
It took several months of letters and phone calls to stop the billing and take bill away.
This second time is going on right now. It is a rental property, my daughter was living in home. She had service but Jan 3 while they were in lake Tahoe getting married, burglary took place to home. They took everything, doorknobs, lights furniture and even clothes. Police report was filed, home was boarded up until l hired a handi-man to put new doors and windows. My daughter was afraid to go back so I had to work with handi- man to slowly replace and repair.
My husband and I are disable so I didn't start repairs and paint until 14 months later because I had to stay in home to make sure it was safe to repair.
All utilities were off since January 2016, I started staying March 2017. I only turned on water and sewage to clean and paint. Keep yard watered. However waste management decided to start billing without calling or a letter to ask if we needed service.
We also did not have a tote for garbage. I bagged and took home to save money.
I sold home june 29,2017 and now have 6 months of bills. They refuse to take the bill away even though I provided them proof that I no longer have the home and has been vacant of renters for past 23 months.
You are forced to pay water and sewage of $25.00 ea even to just clean or paint. The policy should be changed. People are struggling financially, they are a million dollar company. They should see the reports I sent with pictures of being boarded up for over 14 months.
Waste Management is one of the area's (Rochester, NY) worst trash haulers. They are more expensive that most others, they are combative on the phone, know absolutely the things that work to their advantage, and have no recollection - even in writing - of anything that does not provide gain for them The customer is always wrong.
Answer: Apparently it is how they conduct business by being as rude and unethical as possible. I hope they did not steal from you as well.
