Initial call to customer service agent had agent CORRECTING me on calling her by her name. Still haven't a clue if her name is Diane or Dianna... but she certainly took lots of time correcting me, VS ASKING ME MY QUESTION/CONCERN! Who hired her as she must really have difficulty as she then begins reading 'manuel' on how can I get a REPLACEMENT TOTE was destroyed with their men THROWING tote many times after disposing! Time to chg carriers for sure...
I've been a business customer for 5 years. I pay approx $430 a month. Pick-ups are always reliable, so no problem there. WHEN OR IF YOU CANCEL is when the trouble begins! I called to cancel, was told I needed to send a certified letter during a certain time period of one month. Lots of hoops to go through. Decided to keep the service. After five years with them, I called to cancel, as their prices are so high compared to GSL who has no contracts to sign. The agent took my info and said "you're all set!". She told me I'd be paying one more payment as I have to give a 30 day notice. So I waited and almost 2 months later they still haven't picked up dumpsters and are charging me for yet another month. Called them and they said I needed to sign a BCA Compliance form, which they emailed. The agent never told me that when I cancelled! So another month they get out of me. Now I have to start over with a new agent. I bet I'll somehow be charged another month yet. AVOID them! There's a new kid in town, GSL - going to try them.
I have called Each and Every Number on this Website to Obtain a Business Quote and EACH and EVERY number called -regardless of the Dept selected is FOR CURRENT ACCOUNTS. All are the same automated recording asking for Your Customer Code, then hangs up on you if you do not enter one. They're not trying to grow their business.

They don't pickup all your garbage, just the half of the container and also they skip you sometimes, even when the rest of the containers in your neighborhood are empty. We should pay only the half of the bill if we are not getting a complete service. WORST SERVICE IN MY AREA, (TUSCALOOSA. AL), I WISH A COULD HAVE ANOTHER OPTION.

I have been waiting for my trashed to be collected since May 30th. May 30th no trash collected. Driver said all of the bags were more than 40 lbs. None were. Called on Fri. And complained. No response. On Monday my husband called and talked to someone that said they would have it taken care of and to put two weeks worth of trash out on Wed. June 5th and it would be picked up. Came home and it was not picked up. It was after 6 pm, so we called Thurs. Morning, my husband asked to talk to the route manager. No response and It is now Friday 6/7. I started calling at 8 am this morning. Responses, "Ok, I will let them know". Called again at 1 pm, customer service stated that we were on the list for a pick-up today. 5:30- no service. I called again, and was told that I would be last on the route since it was added that morning. It is now 8:40 pm and I have trash from May 23-6/7 still not collected.
Terrible driver work ethic, terrible customer service, terrible company. Never Use THEM! Still waiting for a response. I won't hold my breath.

Route driver took out my phone wire and wi-fi internet service to my residence. Have been trying to contact Waste Mgt. Since Friday. NO WAY TO TALK TO A PERSON ON THE PHONE 'TIL MONDAY. YOU SUCK WASTE MANAGEMENT!
Zanesville, IN... Before WM took over Advanced Disposal/Earth First the service was great. No missed pick ups at all. After WM there have been multiple missed picked ups with no explanation. Calling customer service is a joke. They just lied about not being able to get down my road for pick up when other trash services have had no problem picking up other neighbors trash. Their prices just increase by $13 at the beginning of 2022 and in January i have had 1 trash pick up, the rest were missed days. I hate having to keep my extra trash bags in my garage just because they keep missing pick up days with excuses as to why they couldn't pick up. Now i'm trying to cancel my service just to realize there are NO REFUNDS & you have to pay $75 for them to pick up THEIR trash container when you cancel. That is highway robbery. HORRIBLE PICK UP SERVICE & CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT USE WASTE MANAGEMENT.
I like the baster and the ease of purchase. I do not like that I contracted and paid Waste management for a pick up by a Waste Management truck and received and different company.
I used the baster because I looked it up on line and saw the video of the Truck with the "Boom" collecting that bag.
What I got was a "Junk Truck For Hire" with a winch and a hook on the end of the cable. The guys had to make a ramp from my drive way to the bed of the truck and pull the baster up to the truck. It was very clumsy and cause the baster to spill and be repeatedly adjusted to get it on the truck. This is NOT the service that was advertised. Not too mention workers that have no identification or professional attire. Quite honestly, I was very uncomfortable having strangers on my property, However the men who picked up the bag were very nice and most accommodating. That would be another reason I selected Waste Management for their reputation.
As a side note please don't respond with something to the affect the "We" contract some of our work load out to others. That is not my concern. All I know is that I requested and PAID Waste Management.
I don't see me using this service again unless I can be compensated is some manner.
I have worked and lived in this area for more than 50 years and do not like to endorse companies I feel are not upfront with their customers.

We have a collection 2 weekly, Recycle and General Waste every week one or the other isnt collected General waste not collected this week, checked CCTV driver comes into road turns around and leaves dosent get out of vehicle
I payed a bill on the 7th of April and had received a recording stating that my bill that I had payed a week prior was past due. I called the customer service hotline and discussed with the person that I had payed it and it had came out of my account. She asked how I payed it and I told her via over the phone. She said we have not received a payment ( which I had already payed) she td me they needed proof that I payed it. So she gave me her email and I sent her a picture showing that it had come out of my account. And even though this would be the second week my trash has not been picked up because of their end, it still won't be picked up till " the situation is resolved"! So I tried their virtual assistant which was an absolute joke, which I stated that in the conversation. The response I got back from the virtual assistant was" I'm trying to start a chewing gum recycling company I just need a little help getting it off the ground." Not only was I ticked to begin with this made it 100 times worse! I'm now canceling my service with them and going with someone else! Never ever use this business for your trash service!
First phone interview seemed to go really well so i got schedule for a second phone interview a week after and never received a call so i reached out and they gave an excuse which i can understand forsure, things happen, well they recheduled it and STOOD ME UP AGAIN.

They don't pick up often. They lie. They claim their equipment breaks down. They don't have enough staff. They are expensive. They leave trash behind. They make up excuses on the phone.
They are always leaving garbage all over the ground. They take the time to grab the garbage can and throw to the ground whats on top of it. If you leave anything near the can they will leave it.
I've had waste management since January 2021 after the purchase of our new home. Literally from day one I have had nothing but headaches. Our town is under a contract for $25 a month garbage and recycle removal. I was billed $32 a month with taxes and fees okay fine. Then I decided to sign up for autopay. There was the mistake! In 3 months we went from $32 a month to $59 a month. Our first bill on auto pay was $203. We went from monthly to quarterly billing which we are not supposed to be on. Their customer service team told me it's their error and would have it fixed and call me back within 6 hours. (Why 6 hours I still don't know). I literally have to call them repeatedly every month on this matter and lose 1.5hrs of my life every single time to be told we have to call you back, once I get a supervisor to approve this or that blah blah blah! HORRIBLE COMPANY! VERY POORLY ORGANIZED. Once again still waiting on that call back. Stay clear of Waste Management if you have any other option!
After years of semi reliable service, WM has let us down too often. Unexplained Missed pickups and poor communication in the past two months are no way to run a business. We will switch companies.
My predecessor entered into a crazy contract with Waste Management. If you are considering using their services for commercial properties: 1) expect evergreen contracts that require big windows to exit the contract 2) They likely charge way more than competitors 3) There are clauses that can cause you issues if you do remodels and have construction dumpsters on sight that aren't theirs 4) Expect surly service from customer service as well as truck operators 5) They drive out mom & pop operations. PLEASE, PLEASE do your research first.
Answer: Apparently it is how they conduct business by being as rude and unethical as possible. I hope they did not steal from you as well.
