How long does it take to pick up something that you make an appointment for it what 3 weeks maybe and you still going to have your stuff outside for them to pick it up we been calling this company and they always saying something else they say something else yesterday and now to me I called and they say because of the 4th of July they had a lot of callings and appointments I don't know if they work on Sundays picking up trash but I mean trash day is different from picking up big items, this people are a joke I guess they don't want to do their job and they turn around and say we care for the environment and things. How come they won't come and pick up our big items ah is going to be 7:00pm and not yet no one have come to pick up the stuff. Second she say may be tomorrow lol tomorrow is Saturday I don't think they want to pick up things tomorrow duh please do is a favor and do it job we are paying costumers thank u
Trash just won't get picked up and they reschedule for the next week with no explanation. You have to call customer service to get any answers and have to wait atleast 20 minutes to talk to anyone. On the phone almost 2 hours to get trash picked up and then to cancel service! Terrible wait times! And the "live chat" option is not a live chat and you will get nothing accomplished.
Our trash have not been picked up for 2 weeks, multiple calls to customer service, after long waiting time, I was told each time "Today" but no one never comes. And this is not the first time. But you keep paying for the benefits you didn't receive. I'm very disappointed and angry.
The billing is done for quarterly, the company does not tell you when the of end of their billing cycle is eg Jan Feb Mar 10th and they discontinue the service. (true I could have read the fine print, but realistically how many of us would do it for a trash service) Then They then charge you a $70.00 reconnect fee, without your permission. As the service is uninterrupted, you are not aware of this charge. They did this to me twice before I caught on. I wanted to cancel their service right away, but again there is a $35.00 fee for them to pick up their own trash can, and the last bit, for me to pay them over the phone there is a $5.00 fee. So to get rid of this company's services it's gonna cost me $180.00 How much more horrible can a company be especially now during these Covid times.
I wish there was a negative star rating to give them.
The only thing I can say go with any other waste company then waste management because they are the biggest rip off reminds me of a mafia in New York
Waste Management is STILL charging me for an address that I haven't lived at in 9 months, after I spent like 1.5 hrs on the phone w them, and he said "he'd get approval for a refund AND close the account." SMH never even called back like he promised, let alone "close/refund" jack!
Worst trash company I have ever had in my 65 years. They buy out local mom and pop companies and service is non existing. They never pick up on scheduled day and I never know what time. This is a horrible company. Farmington, Missouri.
It's been over 2 weeks since my trash has been picked up! I'm paid in full and waited 40 minutes to speak with someone with no explanation as to why the trash hasn't been picked led up! Was told yesterday he would send someone over, still have yet to have my trash picked up! No credit was given or anything just an I'm sorry! My trash is completely over flowing and now I'm having to place bags on the ground around it. Animals getting into the trash and spreading it across my yard! In the many years of trash service this is easily the worst! Photo below was 2 days ago before more trash had been added!
Poor trash service. They want there payment every month but don't care about picking up the trash. They wont even give a discount when they miss a week or two. Expensive trash service. Rates keep going up

Such a frustrating company! Long holds to get someone on the phone. You cannot cancel service online. You pay 3 months at a time with no refund if you cancel service within that time period. And they charge you $75.00 to remove the cans... that they delivered! I have been a customer twice now. Never again! I would rather haul my trash to the dump than use this shady company ever again!
I had their service for 6 years. I decided to cancel when I realized their rate was nearly double that of all the other companies in the area. When I started service in June 2015 the rate was $97 for three months. June 2021 and it's $161. I removed my auto-payment and called to cancel and get placed on hold for over 40 mins. Two weeks later my credit card is charged the $161 without my permission. I have to call again. They also never picked up the garbage can. After another lengthy call they refunded me and issued another request to pick up the can. Another week goes by and I receive an invoice for $100. They are charging $75 to pick up the can (which was about busted in half from 6 years of the truck picking it up) along with some other prorated fee. I paid up until 5/31 and terminated service effective that day. There is no prorate. I don't understand how they can make something as simple as "stop billing me and stop picking up my garbage" so damn complicated. Also their terminal is 2 miles from my house. I would have dropped the can off had I known they were going to rape me. Now I have to call AGAIN so they can bull$#*! me on what the ridiculous charges are. AVOID THIS COMPANY.
We have had waste management for a long time and have never had the issues we have had in the last 3 months. Today is 3 weeks since they picked up our garbage. I am so tired of customer service lying to us and saying it will be picked up that day and then they tell us it will be picked up the next day when they miss it and it never is. I've tried to get a special pickup as this is not our fault but that doesn't work either. We share the beginning of the driveway with two other homes who have another company and they probably think we turned into deadbeats who don't pay our bills. It is awful. Besides it being a major health hazard with garbage sitting out there it is ridiculous. How could a company this large have service this bad and not care. I would have given them four stars 3 months ago now if I could I would give them zero Stars.
They are a terrible company. They have not picked up my garbage in 4 weeks. I am paid ahead, When I call them all they do is lie. I went three weeks without a can. Stay away from them. I would rate them minus 5 stars if I could.
I changed garbage companies so I could get yard waste, and come to find out after a year of service they cancelled our yard waste pick up and didn't tell us. I called 4 times in one week and they said they will be there today only to find out it was cancelled due to safety reasons and they no longer pick up yard waste in our area. So what to do with my 15 yard waste bags they told me I'm not sure. Horrible customer service!
The absolute worst company that I have ever worked with. Dozens of missed pick-ups. Drivers have repeatedly claimed to have made the pick up, but camera footage shows they never entered the property. I can't even tell you how many times I've been told that a manager would call me back, but it never happened even once. Of course they have no problem charging you an extra fee if even the smallest bit of trash is peaking out of the top of the dumpster. If you like terrible service and getting over charged, this is the company for you!
My pivate property is adjacent to a pickup location their city mandated pickup time is after 7am of course they arrive as early as 5:45 am. park the truck eat and piddle around in the cab while waking my tenants( seniors and babies). The trash is usually overflowing and putrid and the drivers are rude and disrespectful. Calling the corporate office is an exercise in futility the staffleaves you holding for a ridiculously long time. These are Family Dollar Business Dumpsters the clients are just as responsible as Waste Management.
We were being charged so much higher than other companies in our local area so we decided to cancel our service. That is when the real problems began. To leave they charge you $75 just to pickup their container! Also we paid the final invoice 2 weeks before it was due and verified funds were taken out of our bank yet still received another bill a month later for paying the final bill late! Then to reach a representative takes over an hour to reach a live person! Terrible!
They didn't pick up my trash although it was out there for pick up. Called everyday to get a recovery truck but no one shows up! Worst company with a lying staff! Avoid at all cost! Waste Management of Leeds Alabama!
We were given no notice that their service guidelines were changing. This caused us a giant pile up of extra trash. When I called during their business hours to get to the bottom of it, they were closed. I called the following Monday and was on hold for 15 minutes. My phone was breaking up so I asked for 10 seconds to step into a better area but I was transferred back to the beginning of the automated system to wait another 15 minutes. The next agent picked up and said I was at the wrong department and would transfer me directly to the right agent. He did transfer me but I was still on hold for another 12 minutes. Now at a phone time of 45 minutes an overseas agent picked up. She was nice and helpful but hard to understand. She explained the company changes which had not been made public before, arranged an extra pick up and services. In total a phone call that should have taken 10 minutes took 1 hour! If you have an option to go with another service I would highly recommend it.
I started my new service with WM on April 9th, they either don't pick up my garbage or my recycling, can't see to do both in the same day. In 5 weeks, they have missed my recycling 1 time and my garbage 2 times. They are a good company, they do get back to me, but nothing ever gets done. My garbage overflows till the next week, I don't get credit for missed garbage. They tell me, well, we put it in your account to just put extra bags out for the next time. I don't want my property looking like hell cause I have bags laying all over waiting for them to come and pick it up!
Answer: Apparently it is how they conduct business by being as rude and unethical as possible. I hope they did not steal from you as well.
