I've been using Vudu for a long time. When it works great, it's great, but if anything is ever wrong, they offer zero customer support. They never get back to you. I used to love Vudu, but they've lost all the good will they had.
My experience: I purchased a season pass, and they left out a chunk of episodes in the middle. Understandably, having paid for the episodes, I wanted them. I contacted customer service by email twice and by phone. By phone, no one answered, and by email, no one did either.
This site is over complicated they make it difficult to order a movie they say it's good for 24 hours which really isn't plus make it very difficult to stay signed in once you log off do not forget your password it is very difficult to get back on I gave up. Screw this site it's absolute nonsense.
It was a weekend of a holiday (Labor Day weekend) and I know they are closed on the weekend and on holidays. I totally understand that. I emailed them and have yet to get a response almost a week later. What a joke. If I could give no stars, I would. At this point, I don't need their d*mn help!

I've been a Vudu customers for several years, and have amassed a huge video library. Two weeks ago, I bought four movies, and went to Vudu.com to redeem the digital copies. I quickly noticed that 21 of my titles are missing... just GONE. I immediately e-mailed Vudu Customer Support, requesting an investigation into the loss of my 21 titles. I received no response after a week of waiting, so I sent 2 additional e-mails to customer support. Today, I finally received a reply, saying that "I" deleted the movies on August 29. The Vudu e-mail directed me to phone their toll-free number, if I didn't delete the movies.
After being on hold with Vudu Customer Support for 20 minutes, I was then informed they couldn't help me! They referred me to the Ultraviolet website for help with the problem. So, it seems, I'm out 21 movies! BEWARE VUDU.com.
I loved vudu when it first came about. I have over 300 movies in my vudu library. However since mega hog walmart bought them and 5ook over it has gone to hell. Overpriced for movies and shipping and the deals vudu would do previous are nonexistent now. The free movies with ads is a alright concept but guess that means that they have to the raise the price everywhere else.
On my itemized bank statement all I can read over and over is vudu.com, called The company to ask about all those charges, rudest Customer service ever, first I was told there were no charges, but I gave them precise dates when I was charged, his only answers was they were authorized transactions and I should check my credit card statement. Since the merge with Fandango, which I never had any trouble with and had spent thousands of dollars in movies and tv shows, now I can not access any of my library because for some reason it did not move with my Fandango account to VUDU. Vudu customer service is downright shameful and they will not answer the phone, emails or their chat option on their site. Sat on hold on the chat for over two hours waiting on a "live rep" what a joke! Sat on hold on their phone for over two hours to never get a human being and forget emails, I have sent several of those with no answer. Shame on Fandango for ever switching to this horrible company. So disappointed and out a LOT of money from previous years of purchases that I no longer have access to!
Why promise instant watch of a movie that you order just to be put off like you don't matter? I ordered 2 movies both which had (vudu instant watch). But when I went to my vudu account those movies weren't there. I called to let the customer service department know the problem I was having. Of course I had to open a claim. So 2 days have passed by with no solution. I called vudu back just to be told they'll get back with me, but they don't know when. One of my movies have already shipped. I'll get the physical copy before I get access to the digital copy. So why buy a movie with the incentive of instant watch when you never got it? Vudu has lost this customer and if anyone asks me what I think about vudu, I'll be sure to tell them not to fall for the lies!
It worked for awhile and I purchased many shows and movies from them. Then one day it started not working by constantly buffering and asking me to switch to SD or HD (even though I paid full price for HDX). I contacted customer service through e-mail multiple times. They asked me to reset my router and do numerous other things. None worked. My internet is speed is steady and fine when I do speed tests and way beyond what is supposedly a "minimum requirement" for running HDX. I asked if I could get refunded for my purchases so that I could discontinue my account with them and they said that they will not refund anything. Terrible business and terrible ethics to charge people for a service that they can't use because of problems on the business's end. Will never buy from them again.
Last weekend I purchased a theatrical version of a movie on accident and wanted the extended version. I tried calling them but after 20 minutes of waiting I hung up. Then I emailed, few days later no response. So I messaged on facebook and they said contact the "phone" support. I said I did and there's no answer I've tried multiple times. No reply from that. Now I've tried a fifth tI'm to call still no answer after 18 minutes and I've emailed again. They are the worst no help at all I believe they won't help so don't even bother.
It's a scam! I had the same issue and so have many others according to reviews. The movies don't play they buffer constantly and downloading to vudu to go is nothing but a waste of time and a complete joke. Go with another company.
Netflix is much better in quality. The most problem connecting to the network even with the router sitting in the same room... Once my credits is up I will invest in something that actually works... Don't buy it
They advertised an 4k UHD sale, pick 3 movies for 14.99. But all the movies in the sale came as SD. They won't respond to email customer service or online chat. I have been trying for almost 2 months.
I just tried to use the vudu app Facebook so I could access Facebook on my tv and until you give vudu full access to your posts, photos, personal info and virtually all info you have they refuse Facebook access thru their service... anybody else feel this is intrusive?

I have had the worst experience with vudu. Their customer service is poor. I used my card to rent a movie and my Card was charged but I could not watch the movie. When I reached out to customer support their advice was to try to make the payment using their website while they hold my previous payment hostage. So I am double paying because of their failed system or coalition with Google pay. Their customer service was rotten. I will make sure to discontinue my service with this crappy company...

I do not understand how this site stays in business. I tried to subscribe, but the sign up, with use of a credit card would not work. When I tried to fill in the month and date it would stay at 0 and not accept it. I also called the phone # they listed, it reached their customer service, but no one answered. Also they appeared to advertise $2.00 per rental, but the individual films ranged from $3 to $7. When I played the free trailer. The quality of the picture was good!
I recently signed up for VUDU. When I signed up, it stated, new members got their first 3 movies for. 99 within the first seven days of sign up. I rented a movie on day 1 with no problem and was charged. 99.3 days after signing up, I rented another movie and was charged $5.99. I emailed customer service to no response. Won't be using this company again and would not recommend them to anyone.
