I waited 3 months for an appointment. The doctor could barely hear me as he is hard of hearing and i couldnt get my questions ans. The lady at the contacts station was very helpful and gave me a pair to try out. I was to call them and confirm if i wanted to go ahead with the order.
I have now been on hold on their customer service line, called both the direct no and the regular 1800 no and no one has bothered picking up. Apparently they have a high call volume bull recording playing should u call anytime of the day night or month. With such poor reviews what other idiots other than me is calling them.
I cant go to the office without an appoint. No one will pick up my phone this is the second day of same hold forever. I tried their chat option and they bot just stated someone will contact u in 48 hours! Why cant they ans now. Every company has a person who will either respond by phone email or chat. They have no one. Absolutely pathetic service. Never going back to them. Hope they go out of business. I would give them 0 stars if i could.
My wife recently went to get contacts, She had exam and they talked her in to buying coopervision contacts. Shes never had but optometrist swore up down they were best. Since shes had them 2 of contacts have torn while in her eye and another one tore when taking out. She contacted bision works and asked to be put back into her ciba vision contacts and that when dhe noticed her prescription was writin only for coopervision and to go back to contacts shes worn for years shes gonna have to get a total new contact exam even though the one she has is only 3 months old.
No customer service such a rude behavior with associates no knowledgeable people working there they don't even know what's going on in their computers they hardly know anything about and they don't know what did I order or not after a month they are saying I'm still waiting to order this order I will never gonna refer that to my family and friends is a disgusting please specially this location at the Harlem Irving Plaza waste of money waste of time I have to call up my work and go spending hours and they did a wrong order on my contacts and then they have to correct it three weeks I waited and they still say ordered didn't placed every other associate has different information
In january, my son was seen to get fitted for replacement contacts. From the front desk reception to the doc, to even calling months later, they lack true customer service experience.
I am not one to write reviews and I am also a person with a very high standard of customer service. But based on my experience with the Visionworks Shrewsbury NJ store over the last two years or so, I felt compelled to write this review.
I've gotten many glasses over the years from many different vendors but I have to say the dedication, attitude, knowledge and patience of the employees in Visionworks at the Shrewsbury store is second to none! I just got my third pair of glasses from the store and Ashley was off the charts amazingly helpful. I was a bit indecisive about what I wanted and was also concerned that I would be taking up too much of Ashley's time. Well guess what - I was completely wrong! Ashley was remarkably patient, but more than that she genuinely seemed like she was having a great time helping me. She was honest, funny, patient and most importantly knowledgeable about the various frames and what was needed for my best fit. Visionworks - you should know what a gem you have in a saleswoman like Ashley. Tremendous interpersonal skills like hers don't come along too often.
I'd also be remiss if I didn't compliment the general manager of the store - Kim. Kim was 100% devoted to customer service and ensuring a top customer experience. Kim didn't realize it, but I was watching her interactions with the customers as they came into the store. I was fixated because of her approach - what a role model she is! Every customer was treated as if they were uniquely special, regardless of their issue.
Kudos to Visionworks for having such amazing employees at the Shrewsbury NJ store!
I got a new pair of glasses in late Jan first of march one lens cracked from the side to just above the bi-focal line took them back but they would not fix them told me I could by a new one I was told it didn't leave here like that of course it didn't but I guess the quality of the lens are just cheep but my family of three and 90 employees that I work with will never use vision works ever again so my little broken lens we will go somewhere else with our buis.
Just picked up my new eyeglasses today from VISION WORKS IN BRAZOS TOWN CENTER IN ROSENBERG TEXAS. I called in first before going and was told by Sharon, yes they are here. I went in and a girl by the name of Stephanie was on the ph. She got off and asked can she help me. So she started trying to find my eyeglasses, however I detected something about her like attitude of lazy. She told me that my glasses are not ready so I asked her what do you mean? What's wrong? She then said that since I came in and they didn't have the time to get them ready... so she was ticked off that I came in?!? No, couldn't be bc she looks pretty lazy to ME. She didn't clean them or tried them on my face! No customer assistance what so ever. If I bothered you as a customer you need to go home and not work.
It used to be such a wonderful company when Highmark owned it. Now VSP has taken is over and destroyed it. Especially the wonderful phone system. I go there since I have Highmark insurance through Highmark and we still have a good discount but the new owners have destroyed this company. Eveything takes more time, looks cheaply made and is always wrong or sent to Timbuctoo. And then you have to go through the phone system...its harakiri time...
They overcharged my wife and i 300 bucks! However, the Dr. was very professional and pleasant as well as were the 3 working in front. The problem came when we went next door to purchase the glasses.
I visited visionworks with two family members on at least three occasions. We all intended to buy glasses. Upon entering the store EACH TIME we were left standing there unacknowledged by anyone. No one say hello we will be with you in a moment. Nothing until they were actually ready to serve us. This was very uncomfortable and kind of rude on their part. Once I finally was able to make an appointment for the three of us, we all need an appointment on the same day so we scheduled far enough out on a day I had off so that I could pay for all the glasses. The appointment was confirmed. The next day without consulting me they rescheduled our appointments because they later realized they don't have an optometrist that day Even though they were supposed to have an optometrist that day. We could not make two out of the three appointments scheduled because of work so when I tried to call back to reschedule I was put on hold for 15 MINUTES, no exaggeration. When finally someone did answer I had been transferred to the call center instead of the store at the town mall I was trying to reach. Their computers were down and could not fix the schedule and they stated no one at the mall was answering. I was not able to reschedule these appointments.
The optometrist was very nice, very thorough at the Mchenry IL location. However, I stop in today (9-13-21), roughly one week after my appointment, to try on frames and had a negative experience with the front staff. I am self-pay and realize the cost of glasses; I was already expecting/prepared to spend 500+ dollars out of pocket for a good pair. I called prior to arriving asking if I should make an appointment prior to coming to try on frames, and was told no just to come. I walked in, with mask on, and even asked if I could be of assistance and clean each pair I tried on as to not burden the staff. I tried on a pair, pulled down my make for a brief moment to check the symmetry and was told that was unacceptable and to leave my mask fully on. I respected the staff and asked politely if it would be possible then to gather several pairs and go to a private room with a mirror, so I may pull down the mask with no one around. The response I received was a cold, "no, we don't do anything like that." I requested a copy of my prescription and had to take my business elsewhere. I found a place that was much more hospitable and ended up buying 2 pairs. Customer service is everything to me. Even though the optometrist as I mentioned was very good, I can't recommend family/friends to come here with such a negative experience and unfortunately won't return myself.
I have purchased my last 3 pair of glasses from Visionworks... NEVER AGAIN
The Dr is virtual, a non licensed employee is doing your eye tests and submitting the results to the Dr. The Dr then uses these test results to determine you eye care needs! The glasses were also a HORRIBLE quality this time!

I am still trying to get a full refund from this company! I am so angry with how they have done me. I bought glasses on 7-20-2022 paid $444.89,could not see out of them. Went to dr. for check on glasses and my prescription. Had to get glasses sent back for remake. OK 2nd pair same thing could not see thru them. Again I went back to eye Doctor glasses sent bcack for remake again. 3rd pair came in and I couldnt again see enough to drive, my old glasses. Sent glasses back asked for refund within the peroid time exceptable again. I never have gotten my refund! I have made contact with the central coorporate office customer service several times. I am very old now this is so unfair to be done this way! Visionworks stinks!
Purchase glasses never got them had to wait 30 days to get my money back and to get my insurance reinstated they told me can be reinstated over the phone but my insurance company prove them wrong they called them got it reinstated so it took me about 45 days to get my money back so I can go and purchase eyeglasses I'm somewhere else my advice stay clear read the reviews before you go to the one in Castleton Square in Indianapolis Indiana

Customer of many years, was totally disrespected on phone today. Travelling from southern calver county to appt Thursday, ran into heavy traffic. Tried numerous times calling the visionworks Jennifer dr Annapolis TO NO ANSWER AFTER 15+RINGS. I wanted to tell them I was, going to be about ten minutes late because of my distance and unexpected heavy traffic, when THEY FINALLY ANSWERED, I WAS CURTLY TOLD THAT MY LATENESS FOR MY APPT W DR ROGERS WAS UNACCEPTABLE AND I NEEDED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPT. YOU LOST ME AS WELL AS MY FAMILY AS CUSTOMERS!
I have had numerous issues with the Northpark, Dallas store when ordering and receiving glasses & contacts. My contact lens order last year was screwed up by the store and they ordered the wrong prescription and I had to wait for a new order. Fast forward to 2021, on 10/5 I ordered 2 pairs of glasses and a supply of contact lenses. They ordered the wrong contacts. Again. As of 12/20, I am still waiting for the contacts. I have had to make numerous calls and trips to the store and still have nothing. I am working with 2.5 month old contact lenses in my eyes at this point. They were supposed to send me sample lenses while I waited. Nothing has come. Also had issues with glasses. The frames were warped/shrunk when I went to pick up. They ordered new ones. When those arrived they said they needed to get new lenses so I had to then wait for those. It was almost 2 months before I finally got them. I've called the manager, Maria Zarate, who refuses to get on the phone and just chooses to let staff members call and "help". So frustrating. I wish I would have read the rating on here before I wasted so much time and energy. I still have yet to get resolution or a full refund of my order.
The wonderful people at vision works could care less about their customers and are not above lying about it. We drove an hour to our appointment today only to find the store closed with a sign saying they would re-open 11 Jan. I called corporate to ask why no one bothered to call and tell us the appointment had to be canceled or rescheduled. (You know, our time, the customer, is not at all $#*!ing import!) I took time off of work to go. So some lady at corporate claimed she did not know the store was closed and said she would have the regional manager call me back before the end of the day. Great, She sounded like she was trying to help. End of the day, no call. Not rescheduled, no answers.
As far as I am concerned the Visionworks location at Independence center can kiss my rosy red cheeks. The regional manager can piss off. I am going to leave negative reviews where ever I get the chance. #VisionworksSucks! They do not care about their customers. 27 minutes on hold trying to get to talk to someone in customer service.
