Yet again Vinted have accused me of uploading prohibited home items or used cosmetics. I tried to list a brand new Dior Sauvage in its box. Not opened and somehow their ridiculous Checking system could see through the box and determined that it was used! LOL. So was never uploaded and deleted by them. Also a Dior lipstick case brand new which upon 'checking' got flagged up as a prohibited home item. Absolutely shambolic and ridiculous. There is no words to describe how unsatisfied I am with Vinted and their drastically flawed checking system they use. VINTED ARE ONLY GOOD FOR REMOVING ITEMS, ACCUSING YOU FOR SELLING COUNTERFEIT, THREATENING BEHAVIOUR AND BLOCKING USERS. Which btw I have personally been blocked 4 times in total for false accusations so far which everytime has been overturned with NO apology. I HOPE VINTED GET BANNED IN THE UK. I have also reported numerous counterfeit items and clear scammers which I get a message back to say they haven't broken any rules. This is why people are getting scammed daily on this app. I urge noone to bother with buying or selling on here cause these clowns do not deserve 1 penny they earn in the interest from your hard earned money. I am selling elsewhere now.

Horrible do not buy

Ive sold a few things but I purchase a shirt and usps said it was delivered to my mailbox and it wasnt there. They told me to contact USPS long story short they released my money to buyer KNOWING I did not receive my item. Freakin BS oh yea so I wanted to file a complaint to BBB but their company is located in freakin Lithiuania where never that is? I will never purchase anything from this website every again. Im assed out the money I paid for the shirt I never got. Yea Im still pissed anout it obviously. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS APP YOU HAVE NO PROTECTION IF ITEM IS LOST. I havent decided if I wanted to continue to sell on this app. Poshmark compensates you not sure about mercari? This company is bull $#*! JS

Just to give a bit of context to start with - I am a trusted seller on Vinted with 250 stellar reviews. And I don't mean just these automatic "sale completed successfully" reviews. These are extensive reviews from happy buyers who don't hesitate to come back. I have my identity verified and use my real name and profile photo on Vinted. I pride myself in selling great authentic items and making my buyers happy.
Couple of days ago I uploaded a beautiful Saint Laurent bag strictly following all the rules and displaying all proof of authenticity required by Vinted. Seconds later, I was blocked for "selling counterfeit items". Obviously I did not agree with such accusation, so I submitted the invoice, e-mail confirmation and even my bank statement (!) to prove the purchase of the bag from a trusted online boutique. I was soon unblocked, only to be blocked AGAIN on the same day for an even crazier reason. They deleted 2 of my SOLD items claiming that they received copyright owner complaint claiming that the items were inauthentic. It is very curious how someone can report an item that is already sold and not even visible on the platform, so it just sounds like some sort of organized attack against my account. Sure enough, I immediately submitted proof that both of my deleted Marc Jacobs items were authentic. However, customer service refused to help. As a result, my reputation on Vinted is completely ruined, I am treated like a criminal for no legal reason, and most importantly - they are too shortsighted to revise their decision and admit that I am 100% right. I have every single piece of proof to prove authenticity of my good, yet they have ZERO proof to prove otherwise. And in the meantime actual scammers thrive on Vinted. Sad world we live in.
P.S. This case is also submitted to Vinted's legal department since this is serious accusations that constitute legal offence.

Vinted always seemed unfinished and weird to me. I managed to sell 2 things before they suddenly started to delete every single listing I had saying either the item is inauthentic or prohibited for some reason meanwhile there's plenty of similar items being sold on the platform. You literally could do nothing and your account would get disabled. They can deactivate your account right after you put in personal info so they're probably in the business of stealing personal information to sell.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with them as a seller because customer service is impossible to contact. They send me automated messages about deleting my item but they don't give me a way to contact them to prove my item's authenticity and they even said if you get disabled, it's permanent. Even if it's THEIR fault and negligence. I guess that's what happens when you pay little to no fees. You get what you pay for. Also, so many lazy sellers who make a bad name for honest sellers like myself. They don't ship, don't respond to messages, take weeks to respond to offers that you can't even cancel. Vinted locks you out of writing detailed descriptions or using photos with clean backgrounds otherwise they will delete your listing. They prefer dirty messy beds, dirty carpets and nasty hardwood floor images. This place is NOT for professionals or those who value their items and time.

Go to Depop, eBay or Mercari. Anywhere else. They make you pay fees (which unfortunately goes up almost every year) but at least in my experience, they respond in a timely manner if you run into a problem! Pay those fees and save yourself the headache with Vinted. I read tons of negative reviews. They get more and more common as time passes. I thought I wouldn't run into problems with Vinted but I did. They're also putting so many fake 5-star reviews on Trustpilot to boost their rating. The past month has been tens and tens of them a day. Dishonest and stay away! Instead of fixing the problems they created, they rather lie to unsuspecting newbies!

Another on-line womens fashions and accessories site selling things now in pretty horrible shape. Old clothes. Barely any selection anymore because the sellers all told Me they are switching over to Poshmark because Poshmark does NOT abide by their rules so they can sell anything. Vinted owes Me $21.99 and insists that I received the refund with the Credit Card that I told them was already canceled that they said they credited Me to that account. They have been arguing back and forth with excuses. They wrote Me back and forth blaming it on the bank when the bank said the card was closed when they sent in the refund so the back rejected the refund and sent it back to Vinted. This has been on-going for over a month now and they are still tying My money up. I asked them to just mail Me out a check for the $21.99 so I could call it quits with this company. I would most certainly NOT recommend this on-line consignment shop to anyone. I used to sell or shall we say use the point symstem on tracy closet until they changed ownership. Now that site was fun. People sold nice things. No rip offs But once they changed owners it all went down hill. I did not receive 4 items I ordered last October 2014, and am still waiting on the $6.95 S&H for each 4 items not received sent back to Me. You only had to pay for the S&H.The other was getting points from selling then You could buy with the points You accumulated... That was the best site, but like I said, it has went downhill since they changed ownership. They should have just let it alone. I heard the Company only has 4 employees working for them when I looked it up on line... no matter it is failing now...! So between those three sites, Poshmark is the one getting all of the people now and getting all of the rude scammers. So in My opinion BUYER BEWARE on all 3 sites.

NEVER sell on Vinted
October 21, 2022

I do not understand why Vinted would refund buyer when I have tracking info that confirms delivery. If Vinted refunded every buyer that said they didn't receive an item even though seller has proof of delivery no one would sell on Vinted. Why am I loosing $60 when USPS is showing proof of delivery. My responsibility ends once item shows delivered. How can I be held responsible for using the shipping method that Vinted provided. Obviously it doesn't matter whether I have proof or not. Why would I want to sell on Vinted again when my first experience shows me how risky it is to sell because tracking # means nothing. Isn't a tracking # showing proof of delivery suppose to protect the seller from a buyer making claims they didn't receive. I have proof that USPS delivered package. It is out of my control once the post office confirms delivery. I am very upset. This is ridiculous! Buyer saw my listing on eBay, asked me to list on Vinted hoping that I would sell to her at a discount by saving eBay fees. She told me how much her daughter wanted the item but she couldn't pay asking price because they fell on hard times during Covid. I only agreed to go thru Vinted because I wanted to help her out. She then contacts Vinted and says she didn't get the item and demanded a refund. Mind you that USPS history confirms delivered and left on front porch. Vinted contacts me saying claim is under investigation and wanted me to send picks of package with label size of box ect. I did so and then Vinted messaged me back and says, "We're sorry to hear your package got lost. We canceled the order and refunded the buyer." WHAT, seriously! What's the point of having proof of delivery.if I could give ZERO I would! Will never sell on Vinted again!

I made my first purchase via this webiste a few weeks ago. I purchased a dress from a seller who took several days to allegedly post it, but i received NOTHING. I messaged her via the site and she produced a proof of postage label that claimed it has been 'delivered to a neighbour'. I was left no card by my postman of where the package allegedly was. I add here that I have had numerous packages delivered to neighbours over the past few weeks (I am an ebay buyer and seller by trade) and ALL have been left cards for and received. I contacted the seller to let her know this and she in turn contacted Vinted. They eventually conceded that both her and I will be refunded for the missing dress. So far, she has been refunded and I have received NOTHING. I have meesaged them several times to ask where my refund is, and they have not replied at all. I have now had to open a court claim against their company by locating an East London business address for them, to try to get my money back. PLEASE NOTE! THIS COMPANY IS BASED IN FRANCE AND RUN BY EASTERN EUROPEAN DIRECTORS. Trying to gain recompense is nigh on impossible by the looks of it. They offer NO PROTECTION WHEN YOU BUY AND PAY. THERE IS NO COMEBACK FOR BUYERS WHATSOEVER, UNLIKE EBAY WHERE PAYPAL OFFERS GREATER SECURITY AND FEEDBACK HAS SOME CLOUT. AVOID THIS SCAMMER COMPANY CALLED VINTED!

Allows scams and abuse from sellers….

Where to start with this story…. I brought something on Vinted, postage was £2.15. I paid that £2.15. Seller gets back to me after 11 days telling me I need to pay the £3.50 that Royal Mail have demanded me to pay to receive my parcel. This woman didn't pay the full postage price. She paid the £2.15 but that wasn't the correct price of the parcel. She printed off a label from Royal Mail which is prepaid, she didn't measure the parcel or weigh it and just guessed it's a small parcel. So therefore I'm expected to pay triple as much for postage as her why? Along with that she also posted it in the postbox to avoid paying the full price. I once got a prepaid label wrong and brought it to the post office and I paid extra because basically my scales had broken and given me the wrong weight. But I got corrected and paid for it as I should have and is didn't charge the other person extra either. Royal Mail should know better too but there is no protection for buyers on Vinted. They are slow replying and about an entire 4 hours today I've been receiving abusive messages from this woman because she's been caught out by me. Telling me I'm a peasant because I currently don't have a job. Telling me I'm going to be a bad mother to my unborn child and also saying I'm not important and she is. She also spammed me with the word c*** and called me a variety of other names like tramp and told me I should go beg in the streets to get my £3.50 to pay her. It's utterly disgraceful behaviour and if she doesn't get removed from all of this I will be filing lots of complaints. If I don't get my money back rightfully then I will be pressing charges for theft. Because I still don't have my item and I'm not going to pay tons of more money all because she didn't pay it. I do not understand how that's okay in any way. Royal Mail should automatically charge her with that money, and Vinted need to give better support. I am going to upload some of the things this woman said but I will say I acted like I was unaffected back with laughing faces and that. I know I probably have been more chill but I believe in defending myself and not taking this from anyone. Please help Vinted. It should be removed from the public.
