The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. While some customers appreciate the platform's user interface and initial successful transactions, these positives are overshadowed by the overwhelming sentiment of frustration and distrust, indicating a pressing need for improvements in customer service and policy enforcement.

I bought a pair of Nike Air Force 1 on Vinted and when I got them, they were clearly fake shoes.
Confronted the seller who basically admitted that he never told me it were originals.
Even the UPC bar code is fake.
I sent all the pictures to proof to Vinted that it's a counterfeit item, they replied that it was not clear for them it were fake shoes and that I have to resend them to the seller on my own costs!
Basically Vinted is saying, thanks for paying your buyers protection, we have pocketed it well and now you're on your own!
I did by à la coste polo. As it arrived it was broded with a publisity. It was not shown on the photo. Vinted would not ingage and take responsibility
No Need to go into Detail. NEVER USE THIS PLATFORM Vinted has 1.37 Stars From 340 Reviews Need I say More. SCAMMERS!
I bought something which evri claimed the delivered when it hadn't been. I told vinted who decided to ignore it and release the funds anyway so I am now out my money and the item. This is not a reflection on the seller. I think being forced to pay buyer protection when they don't listen when you have a problem and just release the funds anyway is a joke. I am just glad it was a cheaper item and not something worth a lot more. The customer service is terrible and just told to fill in feedback that it then wouldn't accept. Absolute joke and will never use it again.
I have no Ups or Homer nearby but Vinted made it impossible to turn off these shipment methods. Also there is no way to contact them which is incredibly annoying. Please let us choose our shipment options that are convenient to us!
First time I'm not complaining about the courier or the seller but vinted the transaction website. They marked my item as delivered even though the courier and tracking information shows it isn't the case. They then only gave me 2 days to collect my parcel/raise issues before they close the case. When the actual courier had given me 5 days! It was dishonest and BBC watchdog have a piece on them! Don't use it's a scam!
I have no words to describe how disappointing this platform is. The concept is amazing and if you are lucky enough for everything to run smoothly, all is good. However the moment you have any issues the customer service generates an automatic reply and no empathy is given or real solution to your problem. The protection fee is a total scam and getting a refund when buying something that was not completely delivered is a fairytale. Late replies and awful attitude. Never again
Vinted are ok until something goes wrong. In my case a buyer who deliberately damaged an item to avoid paying for it. Vinted make their money by charging buyer protection fees, as a seller you have no protection. Please avoid using this company as a seller.
Avoid. Purchased a dress which never arrived. Was asked to complete a form within 48 hrs which I did. After this time Vinted got in touch to say I needed to resubmit the form because my signature wasn't clear enough (?) - and to do so within next 24hours. I did this immediately then got a response from Vinted to say the original 48hr window had expired and I wasn't entitled to further investigation. Many messages and emails but standard responses. Really awful company
Dreadful company! Avoid!
I have been an honest seller and have completed over 100 sales with excellent feedback. I have now been told that I have reached my withdrawal limit and have to re-verify by sending a photo of my passport or drivers licence. My passport has expired and won't be replaced until April and I don't have a drivers licence. I have £25.35 remaining in my Vinted account which Vinted are refusing to transfer into my bank account. So basically Vinted have scammed me!
Hi everyone, you're lucky to come across this article because if you might be a potential seller this article save you from many problems with vinted.
The reason why i used vinted is just to sell some clothes i don't need and also some fantasy jeweleries, ok until now it's fine but one day i sold my shoes of brand Hogan i bought 320€ for only 80€ after 3 uses, the buyer takes a pen and he drew on it to open a fake claim, so vinted refunded him and he kept the shoes.
Okey refund the customer it's fine, but he must send back the item but he didn't and the customer service doesn't exist, they sens you like: hi how can I help, that's all and someone else resume the conversation and send you like: I know your problem, and leave the chat.
I add something again, recently i tried to sell a necklace branded but vinted teams know nothing about brands, they accuse that the necklace is fake without no any information at all and blocked my account, i have screenshot to prove you that if you can read french language.
I have nothing to hide just see the screenshot of the exchange between me and vinted how is.
I bought ECCO shoes from JASMINE Robb, Crawley. They LITERALLY fell apart on my first wear. The soles and heels were like sponge. I asked for a refund and got nothing but abuse...and VINTED couldn't care less...even though I paid (buyers protection).
Buyer protection fee useless.seller can deny return even if valid.then seller will harass you for giving a bad rating based on other platform ratings for other items. The item was even marked as received the second it got to the post office and my 4 day countdown began before I left my house to go get it.as a seller even worse. Sold a item for 1.50 and after a month it if sitting at the purolator pick up point I requested the item be sent back to me.vinted told me they would get the item sent back but told me to cancel the cancellation request or they would not be able to get purolator to ship the item back.then the customer had picked it up after this point when I had resold the item after vinted told me it would be sent back.customer still didn't accept the order so I had to wait 4 days for it to auto accept and then another week for the 1.50 as well as I had to refund the new customer. And to top it off items get non stop spam msgs from fake buyers and time wasters
They should be closed/shut down for violating human rights! They do not have an authenticity team however they INSIST your item is fake and block your account. To the message to provide the address for item authentication, they reply with automated messages. The worst is that 80% of users have replicas listed all over the platform and I guess it's just "what they decide". Below lowest customer service!
If i could give a zero i would they do not warrant a star rating,I have been a vinted customer a for a few months and having read the T n C the sellers are the ones out of pocket be careful this company will rip you off.
Any breakage/ damage to the parcel my the company is the sellers responsibility ( even if postage and packaged correctly) they are a joke of a company stay clear and go the the competition website, the vinted customer services are also a joke.
Vinted allowed someone to send me counterfeit Dior trainers and refused to refund me or even so much as remember the seller they still let it happen they don't care about customer service and good luck getting hold of them with no contact number complete scum of a company
I started using Vinted to sell my things to raise money to pay my attorneys. I have never received a bad item. I have gotten great deals and met some really nice people.
Vinted always seemed unfinished and weird to me. I managed to sell 2 things before they suddenly started to delete every single listing I had saying either the item is inauthentic or prohibited for some reason meanwhile there's plenty of similar items being sold on the platform. You literally could do nothing and your account would get disabled. They can deactivate your account right after you put in personal info so they're probably in the business of stealing personal information to sell.
I've had nothing but bad experiences with them as a seller because customer service is impossible to contact. They send me automated messages about deleting my item but they don't give me a way to contact them to prove my item's authenticity and they even said if you get disabled, it's permanent. Even if it's THEIR fault and negligence. I guess that's what happens when you pay little to no fees. You get what you pay for. Also, so many lazy sellers who make a bad name for honest sellers like myself. They don't ship, don't respond to messages, take weeks to respond to offers that you can't even cancel. Vinted locks you out of writing detailed descriptions or using photos with clean backgrounds otherwise they will delete your listing. They prefer dirty messy beds, dirty carpets and nasty hardwood floor images. This place is NOT for professionals or those who value their items and time.
Go to Depop, eBay or Mercari. Anywhere else. They make you pay fees (which unfortunately goes up almost every year) but at least in my experience, they respond in a timely manner if you run into a problem! Pay those fees and save yourself the headache with Vinted. I read tons of negative reviews. They get more and more common as time passes. I thought I wouldn't run into problems with Vinted but I did. They're also putting so many fake 5-star reviews on Trustpilot to boost their rating. The past month has been tens and tens of them a day. Dishonest and stay away! Instead of fixing the problems they created, they rather lie to unsuspecting newbies!
Awful customer service. Their buyer's protection which buyers pay extra is fake. If order doesn't arrive, they won't refund you and there is no button to 'resolve the issue/or ask for refund' It just keeps saying shipping provider is delayed and then they release the funds to seller. If you contact them, they just say they can't do anything. So after a month you loose your money and won't receive the item either. It happened twice now. I won't be using them again which is a shame as the upload and send parcel was very good.
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
