The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. While some customers appreciate the platform's user interface and initial successful transactions, these positives are overshadowed by the overwhelming sentiment of frustration and distrust, indicating a pressing need for improvements in customer service and policy enforcement.

The app works fine generally, but ensure you sell to trusted buyers. For the return policy (if the buyer wants to return the article) they offer 2 options and its so easy to mess it up!
If you cancel and reimburse them the money, it doesn't say they don't make the buyer send you the product back, so a lot of peple end up without the product and withou the money. If you message customer service they say literally, they are sorry but it's not their problem. This option should be crystal clear in the app. And their customer service, no comments (typical B2C).
Other negative points:
-The process of uploading articles is a pain when you want to write a long description, the text editor is rubbish and jumps lines and spaces all the time. This has been going on for months and months and it's a key part of the process.
I purchased an item form a seller in France. When to package arrived in contained a totally different item. I signalled the problem to the admins who told me that i should return the item so as not to be charged. I followed the instructions( sent photographic evidence of the returned package) the returned package was never picked up by the seller. I have paid for the original item and postage plus the return postage. The seller continues to sell and defraud on the app and the aministrators do absolutely nothing to resolve the issue.DO NOT BUY FROM VINTED
Worst company to deal with. My account was blocked as I couldn't provide proof of authentication for a 10 year old pan set. (Le Crueet)
You can tell it authentic from the handles.
After 2 weeks of back and f
Forth to customer service who sai would sort and delete my account to start again. I had to message direct from the blocked account I've done this and just keep getting some arrogant julie who keeps sending me link about gdpr and holding data with out actually responding to the question of how long you hold my data? And also that I'd like to withdraw their right to hold my data.
Bought an item that was faulty - bleach stain. Contacted seller but no response. Buyer has to pay to return item. Seller sells a faulty item and they don't pay postage. Buyer buys a faulty item and has to pay postage both ways. You also can't leave a negative review for them so they will keep on doing this. Vinted don't care. This is against UK Consumer Law so don't know how Vinted are getting round that one - probably because the values are low it's not worth bothering for a single transaction.
This has got to be The worst company I have ever had to deal with when trying to resolve an issue with a lost parcel. Despite providing them evidence of the investigation carried out directly by YODEL that the item was lost. They have still marked as delivered and released funds to seller. The customer service is a joke, they do not listen to anything, just repeat the same things over and over. Requested to escalate numerous times and just hit with a brick wall. Won't be using them again.
Hi I had a parcel not arrive yodel lost it
Was told to wait by Vinted 48hrs.then Vinted system said I'd collected it which I hadn't. They have admitted it's a system fault but won't give me my money back there customer service is rubbish don't use this app
Vinted customer service is clearly ineffective.
I had an item that was sold but I just canceled due to a breach of trust on my part in relation to the buyer due to the messages he sent me. I canceled the sale but the ad remained as sold. I deleted the ad as Vinted's system is anachronistic. I published again and received a message from the platform that I couldn't because the ad already existed. Anyway, I have articles on eBay and on OLX and never has such confusion and inoperability existed.
If they don't solve my problem, I'm seriously considering removing all the articles I have on the Platform and denouncing the way in which Vinted defrauds users.
I have tried selling on Vinted but it is a nightmare. They constantly reject pictures with no explanation. They delete listings with no explanation. Contacting customer service is very difficult and when I have been able to contact them their response is completely unhelpful. This platform is time consuming and pointless. After my experience with customer service I would not have the confidence to buy through the site.
I had an App on my phone for more than 2 years but suddenly I had no access to Vinted account and also to mailbox which I used to register for. Two months of writing to Support and no luck. They just do not respond. I can see notifications from Vinted app but I cannot login to account. I have a balance around £100 and a few buyers who is asking some discount, question, etc. Vinted does not have any phone number or email address to write about the issue. Only the people can contact thru Help centre which is useless. Autoreply and nothing else. I do not know how to get online to my account now. Seems I lost £100 and 6 month of trading - waste of my life time. Very unprofessional behavior from Vinted
Massive warning NOT TO USE this selling platform. I withdrew nearly £300 worth of MY EARNINGS, gained from sales on their site, into my bank account, who unfortunately couldn't accept the payment because it was from a foreign account (Vinted are based in Lithuania which I wasn't aware of at the time). My bank returned the money to Vinted and now Vinted are refusing to give it back to me. They asked for a bank statement to prove that the money hadn't gone into my account, which I duly provided to them. Then they moved the goalposts and demanded a letter from my bank stating that the money had been returned to Vinted and hadn't credited my account (within 72 hours or the matter of my missing £300 would be considered 'resolved' by Vinted). I provided them with this letter, as requested - it gave full details of the payment not going into my bank account but actually being returned to them. Now Vinted have yet again moved the goalposts saying that they need a further bank statement from me covering up to the current date (within 24 hours or, again, the case of my missing £300 would be considered 'resolved'). This is not simply them trying to obtain evidence that I didn't receive the payment - this is them doing everything they possibly can to steal my money! It has become increasingly obvious that these thieves will stop at nothing to keep hold of my money. I have done everything they've asked of me but still they won't return MY money to me. I will not let this go. They can't be allowed to get away with this theft. I cannot stress it enough - please read all their one star reviews and give these criminals a very wide berth
As an update to my previous review regarding Vinted withholding my money from a sale they have finally released it. Interestingly, only after I posted a copy of my previous review directly to them. No apology or explanation and very poor communication. I would still be very careful if selling any item of high value on this site in case this happens to you.
The worst experience ever!
I've sold a Louis Vuitton bag and when the buyer receive it, open a claim saying that there are a few blue scratches ( that she made to ask the return). Vinted asked me for proof, I send all the photos showing that there're no blue marks anywhere. Even so we agree to accept the return.
When I got the package back it was full of rubbish and no bag inside! The packaging seemed very light when I went to pick it up and it had a cut on the side so I made a video of opening it to have a proof.
I sent all the information and proof to Vinted and the reply was that the package had been damaged in transit so they couldn't do anything and my compensation was €25.
In short, the client kept the bag, sent an empty box, with papers, plastic, cardboard. I lost a Louis Vuitton bag and my money.
Vinted does not protect any customers. The thief received a full refund and me after sending all the evidence presented did not have any help and they simply do not respond anymore.
This is the worse site ever to post items. They give you options on each post on the condition of the item you are posting... THEN they give you messages after several months the item is online that you violated their terms because it is supposed to be brand new with tags. I said it was new without tags it's an option. There is also categories they have as you are posting items that doesn't match what you are posting so you choose "other" Again, they tell you it's wrong and you are like well where does it go then? They don't get back to you because there is no category. Morons!
I sold an authentic Marc Jacobs bag on vinted.buyer said it was not authentic so buyer was allowed to keep without paying and only reason was vinted believed buyer….At least send bag back…you can buy Marc Jacobs knock offs? Sold exact bag on Poshmark with no problem…l had 2 sizes…exact opposite…extremely happy buyer…someone at vinted is probably walking around with my bag ($500). Sold for $80 as it was from 2008. Only use for used clothes that aren't designer if you must
I have had some good purchases but there was no response from the seller after days I cancelled the purchase and Vintage left me a negative review. Also when I agreed with the seller to delay sending it Vintage left me a negative review. This really upset me so contacted customer service but they cannot or won't alter the negative reviews. Customer service is shocking and no help whatsoever.
The system is flawed - it will automatically upload the tracking number to the listing, but then it will glitch and drop the tracking number so it looks like you haven't posted the item. Despite having all screenshots and proof, Vinted will not refund you and will uphold negative feedback. Customer service is appalling and they are effectively allowing people to lose money. It's not a safe app for selling at all.
I opened an account on 1st April and never used it.
It has been blocked due to "strong indicators I am using it for fraudolent activities"
I find it appalling and totally unacceptable.
This company communicates in a passive aggressive way.
False criminal accusations are not acceptable.
I will not use this app any time in the future but I am a model resident in the UK and I am very upset right now.
Bad service, fee for vinted, % of amount?! Was A fan…. Not anymore……………………………………………………………………………..
Worse site to buy off, I purchase a pair of children shorts which originally was advertised at five pound and a pound delivery but vinted taken eight pound from my bank, never receive the item and vintage take no accountability whatsoever so I'm now out of pocket and still no item.
I have purchased a bag £900 and have received a bathroom towel instead. After 3 weeks of discussion with a different customer support agent every time, they have decided to close the case and pay the seller. I have lost the money and did not get anything.
Easy one for scammers - no quality/authenticity check.
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
