The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. While some customers appreciate the platform's user interface and initial successful transactions, these positives are overshadowed by the overwhelming sentiment of frustration and distrust, indicating a pressing need for improvements in customer service and policy enforcement.

This company gave my buyer a refund of £45 as she said the package arrived empty. After many emails with them the say they won't pay me. 6 weeks of me emailing them and them saying they were investigating but never contacted Evri, just accepted photos from buyer. I'm absolutely fuming, they have stolen my money
It is so sad that many things can only be found here because vinted is the absolute worst. They have zero buyer protection, in case anything goes bad,be prepared to lose your money whether you are buyer or seller. And their customer support is a joke, they don't answer your question just respond with general robot responses.
I wassold a counterfeit item which is illegal in europe, they admitted it is counterfeit yet still forced me to pay to return it.
Another instance, the item I received wasdamaged, defective an not as described, the seller offered to pay for return but vinted still forced me to pay!
Absolute worst! I will keep to Ebay, Etsy, anything else, just not Vinted. I am surprisedthat they there are so many people using it.
Vinted itself is great and I have bought some bargains. However, when things go wrong, Vinted customer service is appalling. I had a parcel that wasn't in an inpost locker and went missing. Inpost needed Vinted to contact them so they could get to bottom of it but Vinted refused and proceeded with transaction. I lost £30 and had no parcel.
Second time, I delivered to my house and it was delivered to the wrong house. Because Royal Mail confirmed delivery ( with a photo of my parcel at someone else's house), Vinted issued transaction and wouldn't issue me a refund so again, I lost my parcel and money. Because of this, I have deleted the app.
A Nightmare Experience on Vinted - Avoid at All Costs my attempt to resolve the issue, I diligently provided all the requested photos to prove the legitimacy of my items. However, instead of receiving any constructive feedback or assistance, I received the shocking news that my account would be permanently blocked. This decision was made despite my earnest efforts to comply with their authenticity verification process.
The most frustrating part is the lack of transparency in their decision-making. I fail to understand how a platform like Vinted can justify turning away users who are genuinely trying to sell high-quality items at affordable prices. In my case, I was offering denim worth $340.00 for a mere $40.00, yet they saw fit to block my account without explanation.
This experience has left me bewildered and frustrated. It's disheartening to see a platform supposedly dedicated to the buying and selling of second-hand items shutting its doors on users without proper cause. I strongly advise anyone considering Vinted to think twice before wasting their time loading pictures and dealing with the arbitrary decisions that can lead to account termination for no apparent reason.
Save yourself the frustration and look for alternative platforms that value and appreciate their users. Vinted is certainly not worth the time and effort if this is the treatment users can expect.
I have been selling on Vinted for about 3 months. I have 100% 5 star reviews. I sell mostly vintage jewelry. Twice, Vinted deleted adds, once for a Montblanc fountain pen and another time for a small statue of a horseback rider. Never any reason, no possible appeal. This weekend when people shop most, they suspended my account, again no reason given. There is NO customer service, just automated responses.
After ordering a jacket from one of the sellers on the platform, I was completely shocked by what I received. The seller advertised the jacket as new, but as soon as I opened the package, I noticed multiple stains, marks, and other signs of wear on it. I approached the support team and opened a dispute on this matter, expecting a response within 48 hours. They asked me for more photos and gave me 24 hours to provide them. However, right after that, I received a second message saying they closed my claim due to a lack of response, even though I received both messages at the same time and planned to respond as soon as possible. It felt like the transaction was a complete scam. Now, the funds have been released to the seller, and they say they can't do anything about it. It appears to be complete ignorance from the support team and a desire to close as many disputes as possible without adhering to the Terms and Conditions users accepted. I cannot recommend buying or selling anything on Vinted now, as it seems like an unreliable intermediary between the parties of the trade.
Yet again Vinted have accused me of uploading prohibited home items or used cosmetics. I tried to list a brand new Dior Sauvage in its box. Not opened and somehow their ridiculous Checking system could see through the box and determined that it was used! LOL. So was never uploaded and deleted by them. Also a Dior lipstick case brand new which upon 'checking' got flagged up as a prohibited home item. Absolutely shambolic and ridiculous. There is no words to describe how unsatisfied I am with Vinted and their drastically flawed checking system they use. VINTED ARE ONLY GOOD FOR REMOVING ITEMS, ACCUSING YOU FOR SELLING COUNTERFEIT, THREATENING BEHAVIOUR AND BLOCKING USERS. Which btw I have personally been blocked 4 times in total for false accusations so far which everytime has been overturned with NO apology. I HOPE VINTED GET BANNED IN THE UK. I have also reported numerous counterfeit items and clear scammers which I get a message back to say they haven't broken any rules. This is why people are getting scammed daily on this app. I urge noone to bother with buying or selling on here cause these clowns do not deserve 1 penny they earn in the interest from your hard earned money. I am selling elsewhere now.
I bought an item to give as a gift, that was listed as new. Seller sent in a thin poly bag, a few strips of coloured paper (no actual protection).
I was away for weekend visiting sick relative so couldn't 'report an issue' that Vinted only allows 2-DAYS for buyers to do. I contacted customer service, who were extremely UNHELPFUL! They said because I didn't 'report an issue' within the 2 days, there's nothing they can do about it!
When making a purchase, they add on money for 'Buyer Protection', yet, in reality, you're paying them extra money for nothing!
I told them that The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states if goods arrive faulty, damaged, not fit for purpose, etc, the buyer has rights and the statutory period, by law, is 30 days, not 2-DAYS that they give! Yet they still refuse to do what they are legally obliged to do!
I will be deleting their App and will never use them again. I've also reported them to Trading Standards
Scammers and as other people commented they going downhill.
The buyer protection is a joke, no matter what happens they do not care. Whoever is working there in customer service has no brain, they don't even replying to the problem just coping and paste the same template messages.
I bought an item which says new without tags as described, it has arrived very well worn. The seller accepted my return but want me to pay shipping cost and I am asking why!? If the description was accurate I wouldn't buy this item. Contacted resolution centre, they copied and paste ready made message that I agreed buying the product to t&c, laughable. Yes I do agreed but not to purchase used item but new. Apparently you cannot sale used items and describe them as new. So why their T&C only working one way!?!
Vinted as an App, it's fine, I like it. However, if Vinted or any third party courier representative lose your package, you get nothing, with poor customer service and very questionable insurance fee. Based in true events!
I tried to sell some high end designer items on Vinted. They accused me of selling fake items.
I sent photos of the items with the labels that were stamped into the item, i.e.,Jimmy Choo and Chanel
Shoes. Apparently, they're not used to real designer labels. They immediately accused me of selling knock offs. If you want to sell low end ripped shirts and such, it would be fine. If you have Chanel, Hermes and Gucci, forget it. They don't know it at all.
Vinted will send you a tracking label to ship and item. It gets to the buyer with tracking confirming that and the buyer says they didn't get it so Vinted says you have to refund them. Are you kidding? That's what tracking is for. Terrible company
I have sent to a buyer a jacket.
Vinted lost my jacket, charged me for everything and offered me no help at all.
I am being left without the jacket, no payment for it and probably charged for courier taxes.
I will use different apps which offer customer support in situations like this.
I am disgusted to be the one paying for everything just because the courier made a mistake.
Horrible customer service, useless! I am so disgusted!
Absolutely no customer services. Parcel did not arrive and even though EVRI admitted they list the parcel Vinted still have not refunded me. DO JUT USE no buyers protection
I purchased in good faith a John Lewis Roller Blind but it wasn't right for me so I relisted it on Vinted (as they advise you to do, as returning to the seller is difficult). I have just had the item deleted by Vinted as apparently you cannot sell Blinds on Vinted so I have paid for a Blind that wasn't right and now I am stuck with it - Vinted Customer Service have been useless and can offer me no help at all. Beware what you buy!
I've been with Vinted for 9 years and watching it go down hill so fast is scary. They have zero customer service and run off overactive bots. The few staff they do have just use generic responses every time which rarely answer questions you've asked. When things go right, it's great, when things go bad it's a nightmare. I wish the CEO would look into this glaringly obvious issue but whilst money is being made they couldn't care a less until it's too late. Seriously, just be careful everyone, you will lose money at some point on there. Picture attached of someone asking why their account was randomly blocked after listing a plain t-shirt….
Gréât place for people to sell things with no come back. The buyer protection is only valid if you act within 48 hours. It lacks the security of eBay buyer protection.
I've bought items on there that turned out to be fake. No come back
Wrong size, no come back.
Not delivered, no come back
They use yodel so that also puts you at the mercy of an idiot in a van
Sold a bracelet on 24/12 posted am 27/12 sent buyer tracking. 2nd Jan vibted said I hadn't provided tracking so order had been cancelled. Buyer confirmed receipt & happy. I provided them tracking. They won't refund me as I didn't use evri I used post office. So I'm out the item and no money! Their policies are ridiculous. I bought item in December & it arrived faulty. I returned but couldn't claim either postage back even though item was misdescribed so down £8 for nothing. Horrendous site with ridiculous rules!
Very amateurish customer service who just block addswithout a genuine reasons.
Had three ads removed simply because the cs team did not bother to check the content of my ads
Very bad vinted.
I purchased a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses in vinted.
They turned out to be counterfeit and vinted refused to refund me.
Seller is still allowed to sell item in vinted.
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
