Pages inside your account will disappear. You will get error messages and never get to the pages you need to.
Support takes 100 years to respond to help requests. When they reply, they play games and pretend like they do not understand your issue. They have no ability to check or fix our account at their end when things break.
They will waist your time and destroy your business.
I hope they go out of business soon.
I created an account to show a 42 second clip. All it showed (mostly silhouette) was an American flag and an American flag with blue line blowing in the wind above a fence on a overpass. The only sound is cars honking horns. I tried to log in eight hours later and the account was disabled. On top of that, there is no way to find out exactly what hurt their feelings.
Vimeo thinks you're too dumb to think for yourself so to protect you from bad think they censor intelligent discussion of banded topics. It's a great business model if you're planning to operate in China or North Korea. But in the USA I find it disgusting.
"If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." George Washington
"What is freedom of expression? Without the freedom to offend, it ceases to exist." Salman Rushdie
"All censorships exist to prevent anyone from challenging current conceptions and existing institutions. All progress is initiated by challenging current conceptions, and executed by supplanting existing institutions. Consequently, the first condition of progress is the removal of censorship." George Bernard Shaw
"If we do not believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we do not believe in it at all." Noam Chomsky
Vimeo is not bad video hosting, it has a lot of advantages and disadvantages. I used Vimeo for business videos and I can say that It has not enough customization and marketing features for my needs. There are a great number of video hostings on the Internet with its own video analytics which is very necessary for business.
So, if you need video hosting for entertainment or just for fun Vimeo will be perfect. It has intuitive navigation and it's ads free.
Found it recently, but like it. Has a lot of good videos.
When searched where to travel in Spain have found videos about that place.
For now i search some property for sale in Barcelona https://tranio.com/spain/catalonia/barcelona for its climate and culture.
Videos are made good for getting info on something interesting
For a video hosting company, it is curious why the playback speeds are historically and notoriously slow. I have a video production company, and have used vimeo for years now. Our teams often spend more time waiting for videos to buffer and playback than we do watching the videos. This is the Vimeo reputation. Try another hosting provider!
As a consumer, I've purchased several e-courses in membership format that offer streaming. 100% of those that use vimeo always have issues. It's not due to my internet speed, I have a fiber optic connection. I've even went as far as asking for a refund simply because the video wouldn't play through due to constant reloading. As a user they suck. If I purchase a streamed course and see that vimeo is the player, I go elsewhere or ask for the actual videos. Screen recordings do wonders. Most businesses have no idea how bad it is until its proven through screen recording. Generally, a 15 minute video could take nearly an hour to watch due to how trash the service is. Just thought I post this for anyon considering using it for e-learning, paid streaming etc.
I had a pro account for years. Anything you uploaded will be locked out after you cancel membership, which is horrendous, as they try to keep you for life. But if you'd just stayed on a free account, you'd still have access to all your videos. Makes no sense. Just plain evil. To hell with Vimeo, plus, youtube quality and quickness is 100x better. They're toast.
I canceled my Vimeo account. The reason is that they charged me much more money than agreed. I subscribed for 20 dollars a month and without warning, they raised the price and charged me in one fell swoop 599 dollars. The site has all kinds of obstacles so that customers can not contact to claim. I would not recommend it because you will be alone without customer service, even when they seem to be very close.

Vimeo don't refund you after a month has passed - their 'policy'. This is out of step with most online service providers.
Vimeo banned Brian Rose's account (londonreal) for no reason. Video failed to provide a reason. Vimeo didn't bother to respond. This was after the viral interview with David Icke. This interview was watched by tens of millions. They subsequently went on record a subsequent video which
What was vimeo so afraid we would see? They spoke about freedom of speech, about this insane lockdown, about the long term agenda of the cabal.
So if you believe in freedom of speech, then please close your vimeo account or find an alternative platform that believes in freedom of speech.
I just had a horrible experience with Vimeo. I no longer need a Vimeo Pro account and tried to downgrade to a Vimeo Plus account. A Vimeo Help person offered to help me but only if I opted back into auto-renew of Vimeo Pro for more than $400 per year. After I did what she told me to do, she then sent me a message that someone else would contact me soon. So, I have now decided to let my account expire. I can no longer trust Vimeo, nor should you. Vimeo is a deceitful company. They try to make you upgrade to more expensive plans but don't allow you to downgrade your account. I tried but they only wanted me to renew my Vimeo Pro account, which I no longer need. Vimeo are thieves!
I think Vimeo hasn't enough tools for videos. There are a lot of video hosting platforms offering marketing video annotations, player customizations and analytics. However, Vimeo works great for sharing high quality videos.
Vimeo tells me that I have gone over my quota for the free account! So fine I will delete some of my videos. Vimeo tells me I cannot bulk delete my videos without being a pro or plus member. Are you s****** me? Is this a joke? So I have to individually click on every video and go into the settings and go into video to delete them to get under my quota?
This is poor tactics by Vimeo, I am disappointed...
Basic vimeo is great, but beware, if you ever upgrade, all your content will permanently become part of the process account and you will never be able to go back to basic without them deleting all your content!
I hate to sund negative, but after several years of trying to watch videos, I've given up on Vimeo. Using several browsers and computers as well, all I see are jerky motioned, graining videos that stop and go--if that much. The audio is horrendous and I'm missing some good videos I know but if someone has any ideas, I'd like to try again.
I paid $200 for Vimeo... only to be restricted. I can only upload 2 videos a week... and if I want to upload more I have to upgrade to a $50 monthly subscription. I'm going back to YouTube. It's free and YouTube has the bandwidth to reach more followers. With Vimeo, you pray to be restricted. Don't waste your money.
Paid for content that has since been removed by vimeo, it was removed for no valid reason taking my right to view content I'd paid for and it turns out that they kept the money to themselves. Disgusting.
They stole 5,000 USD from Mr. Ryan Dawson. They deleted his channel and customers can no longer access the content they paid for. By their own admission Mr. Dawson never brokre their terms of use. Dirty criminals they are.
We are having issues as Admin connecting our LinkedIn account with Vimeo. Seems that the 'owner' is the only one that has the abilities to do admin work, such as e commerce, video uploads(other then dropbox), marketing, etc.
The different type of Team members seems ambiguous. Admins can only manage folders and who sees them, Contributors only see folders they can manage, and viewers (not sure why a company would need this as a team member) can only view...
Because an 'Owner" account can do basically everything an Admin account should be able to do, this bring up an account security issue. If an "admin" needs to run a LinkedIn Live stream using vimeo then that "admin" would need to log into the account holders account to operate. If the "owner" cannot provide account details for this then this creates a business issue and may go against company processes.
In a nutshell
Account Owner - does everything
Admin - manages contributors access
Contributors - manage folders/libraries
Where are the marketing tools and streaming tools?
Suggestion would be break up the members account between different departments that a company would require to utilize vimeo as media management and OTT space as well as provide features that each department would need. Example. Content Team: Manage videos in folder, access to email marketing tools, etc.
Seem to me that Vimeo's enterprise account is still in development or confused about services that vimeo wants to offer to its stakeholders.
Vimeo are Scammers! When the deadline arrives in which Vimeo on demand must pay you a percentage of the sales for your work, they will DELETE your account with any excuse.
And then they keep all the money from your sales, from your audiovisual work.
Thieves!
Answer: I'd check the fine print. Then I'd check again. Then I'd have a backup plan if you're gonna use Vimeo. In case you wake up one morning and you can't access any of your videos.
Answer: I heard that Vimeo is very anti-Semitic, they wanted to make a Jewish co-host lose his job at a pro-peace channel. It's just like another holocaust in my opinion... or even worse, the immigration crisis of Latin Americans going to the US.
